Sand Lake Recreation Area

Great place to camp. No electric, nothing. Just peaceful nature. The camp hosts are wonderful, bathrooms and showers are clean. I will be back!!!

Been coming here since I was a kid in the early 90s. Ran by "American Leisure and Recreation." Good people. CLEANED 3x daily: Flush toilets and showers. Wood sold at houses nearby. Small village of Dublin and Irons for Food and Camping supplies, or a nice meal away from camp!

Great campground. All sites are large, pretty secluded and without electricity. Sites 1 thru 30 are larger than the newer added higher numbered sites. If you're in a trailer, with the door on the passenger side of your trailer, i suggest you get a site on the outside of the loop. Clean individual bathrooms and showers. You cannot really see the lake from any site due to trees and vegetation. Nice lake and sandy swimming beach. Dark and quite at night. There is no facility for filling up with fresh water or dump station. There is water available throughout at various posts.

Nice level sights. Can't move the picnic tables, though. Clean showers and restrooms. Great beach. Shady sights. No hook ups.

Camped for 5 days over 4th of July weekend. Ground were very clean. Lake was beautiful.
