The Laundry

We stumbled upon this place after an appointment in Fenton. The staff was wonderful from the moment we entered and the atmosphere has an artsy vibe with mismatched chairs, stained glass and funky decor.

We were told that they're known for their French Onion Soup, so we started with that. It did not disappoint. The flavor was wonderful with a slight surprise of acidity and a generous layer of melty gruyere. Our brunch continued with the Steak and Eggs which featured a nicely charred skirt steak and lovely roasted fingerling potatoes. The food is prepared with care and attention and everything was delicious.

This is a great place for a first date or a family outing. Prices are mid-range+ with our brunch for 2 costing around $74 after tax and tip.

The Laundry is a hidden gem. A very non-descript spot in Fenton serving great food, excellent service and killer drinks. The menu is unique and varied. They have employed some very very good bartenders. The Naked and Famous is well made and delicious. The food is fresh and large portions with locally sourced ingredients. I have been for both brunch and dinner several times and it is better each time I return.

We visit a lot of places around Michigan and this place has some very interesting drinks. Ones you won't find anywhere. We tried a variety and thought they were all very good. Now on to the food. The food is just as good. We had the St. Patrick days special. I wish I would have taken a picture but I was too hungry. This is on our top list to visit again to try more drinks and food. The servers are great. If I recall right our server was Kaitlyn and she did a great job helping us pick drinks amd food.

For future visits, I'd recommend stopping by during off-peak hours to skip the wait.

Our meal was close to perfection, featuring the #61 "The State Bank-onator" and the #28 "Ron's Lifesaver" sandwiches. Each dish was a testament to The Laundry's commitment to quality, creativity, and flavor, leaving us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. The only hiccup, albeit minor, was the absence of Captain Morgan rum from their spirits selection—a surprising find given the otherwise impeccable offerings.

The ambiance of The Laundry added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. It's clear that this establishment values not just the quality of their food but also the overall dining experience of their guests. This attention to detail didn't go unnoticed and greatly appreciated.

What a wonderful staple restaurant for our community. Always good, always fresh. I’ve never had a bad sandwich here, my favorites are the BLT or classic Ruben and ALWAYS paired with the French onion soup…and a coffee! ☕

This place is a very nice place for brunch. Little fancy if you're looking for a plain old breakfast. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. The menu has lots of options. Me and my daughter stopped in after a walk around downtown. They do have a full bar. I ordered a 🥥cocomo latte. We had the pull a part bread and Otis toast. Highly recommend if you're looking for a different taste from the ordinary 💚💯💯

Love this quaint restaurant in the heart of downtown Fenton! Always make it a point to stop there for some delicious food, and all of it is delicious; in the years I’ve been going I have yet to have a bad meal or bad experience. Already planning my next visit!

I ate here for the first time with some friends. Super cute inside. Loved the decor. We could tell that the portion sizes were generous by watching orders arriving at the tables around us. I ended up splitting a sandwich with a friend and it was more than enough!!!! We had the gluten free bread on the sandwich which was the best I had ever had. Can’t wait go go back

I took my boys here for lunch and it was very yummy. When we walked in, the entire place had fun lit up areas where the colored glass reflected on the walls. It was very cutely decorated, with vintage chairs and tables. Our server was super nice, and was able to answer all of our questions. We ordered the savory French toast for an appetizer, which has Muenster and bacon in the middle and comes with syrup and this interesting spicy sauce. Very good. I also got the club sandwich, with chips and a house made pickle. The pickle had a great flavor, and I wish I had more. Huge sandwich! The honey mustard it came with was very yummy, and had a kick to it. My boys got the chocolate chip pancakes and mini waffles. The pancakes were huge! And they loved them. They also ordered cherry lemonade and thought that was a fun addition to their meals. It was pretty pricy though, costing over $100 for 3 kids meals, my meal, 4 non-alcoholic beverages and an appetizer + tip. Expect a hefty check.

This place is amazing!
Consistently the best restaurant in the area. Jay the owner is incredible and he will always make sure you’re taken care of. The bartenders have an awesome knowledge on the drinks, constantly creating their own cocktails to try. Katie is great, Em, Mads, the whole team.
The food is its own conversation, an ever changing menu that combines unique flavors that pair perfectly. I will recommend this place always!

I don't give 5 star reviews very often, but the food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. Crystal our server was amazing. I asked her to pick me something off the menu and she nailed it with pork shoulder hash! She even split my wife and I food so we could try each other's after hear us talk about trying each other's food. We can't wait to go back.

We came in on a Saturday aroud brunch time, and we were immediately seated.
Pros: I really love the view and atmosphere and our food and drinks were great. The little cafe just off the side of the restaurant is unique and artisinal and reminds me of old Ann Arbor. The vibe check is for sure on point here.

Cons: Service was slow. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry, but I'm really hoping next time we can get our food a bit faster. The bathrooms need work, better ventilation possibly? 🫢

First time coming here was a good experience. The atmosphere is lovely, I enjoy all the decorations and history of the place. The service was rough starting as it seemed the server didn't know we were there. Once they saw us however, service was great.
Food was delightful, from the meal to dessert. (Try the lemonade pie!) I would come again next time I was near. You should check it out!

The Laundry Room was the perfect venue for a baby shower we threw this weekend. The event coordinator, Paige, was so helpful every step of the way-she is professional, communicative, and went above and beyond to make our event day seamless and enjoyable!

First time at The Laundry and it did not disappoint. Friendly and knowledgeable server. Tried something different, Kimchi Za', and it was delicious. My sister and niece also enjoyed their Eggs Benedict and Portobello Mushroom sandwich!

Fun space, staff is great, very kind and helpful. Enjoyed a jolly pumpkin beer on tap. Food was good but enjoyed some more than others. The sticky Asian cauliflower bites app was so so good. Great flavor, really delicious - highly recommend. As my “main” I got the harvest crudo and a petit michigan salad. Much bigger portions than I expected so I only ate one of the dishes and took the other one home. But the crudo was disappointing. It sounded really good, loved all the things in it but it was heavily sauced and dressed so it just ate kind of dense and mushy and wet. It has potential to be a great dish just needs some tweaking. The other person with me got the Caesar salad with salmon which was also a good size, the salmon was really good as was the dressing, the croutons were a little hard though. Overall we enjoyed, it felt like it took a while for the food to come out (it was 4:30 on a Monday) but we enjoyed our experience and will be back, just some hit or miss options on the menu sometimes.

Overall, a wonderful place for brunch. All forms of coffee and other drinks on the menu make this a good place to visit for coffee. It's the kind of place where you can rest assured there's no bad item on the menu. Overall, the service was good. The food took some time (about 30 minutes), which wasn't bad for a full restaurant. Our server was wonderful, responsive, prompt, and kept our water glasses full (thank you, Nicolette!).

The atmosphere is open and cozy, with sufficient space between tables to not worry too much about overhearing your neighbors.

Finally, they're more environmentally friendly than most, using compostable kids cups, straws, locally grown produce and herbs (seasonal), and heavy use of compost from food scraps (Thank you!).

Awesome ambience, great food, wonderful customer service earns The Laundry a perfect 5. There was a wait time of about 30 mins so keep that in mind and plan accordingly. There is a small park in Fenton downtown with a tiny waterfall, that's a good option to spend the time while waiting. The coffee bar looks too good and baked items are awesome as well.

A really nice lunch / Brunch joint in downtown Fenton.

I've been hearing about The Laundry for a few years, and finally decided to come for lunch. So glad we did.

Front the hostess to the house staff to our waitress. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The menu only has a few 'sections' but each section has a great variety.

We each ordered a sandwich and all of them were phenomenal, some of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

The drink selection was great as well.

It's super nice inside and they have a nice bar.

Highly Highly recommended.

We drive to Fenton just to eat at The Laundry sometimes. The food is so fresh and amazing.
