iL Porto on Lake Mohawk

We had the most incredible night last week at iL Porto where we hosted our rehearsal dinner. Tricia was extremely helpful and responsive in the weeks leading up to the event. Tricia and the entire staff were so friendly and attentive the whole night, even giving us special care and making sure our glass was never empty. The food was delicious and you can't beat the view/sunset. Tricia even got everyone outside for a group photo. We cannot thank her and the team enough!

Wonderful dinner ! With a w a beautiful view! We enjoyed my bachelorette dinner here with 12 ladies & they were able to accommodate no problem. BYOB. We sat inside enjoyed bread and drinks before the salads, calamari and meatballs came out! Everyone ordered an entree and wow so delicious. Not a complaint at the table. Looking forward to eating here again! Wonderful meal. Great service & lovely restaurant!

What an amazing meal and staff! We celebrated our anniversary with iL Porto. The view of the lake was spectacular and the menu had some amazing choices. Parking was easy and the town is really beautiful. Was about a 40 minute drive for us and was worth it! My Osso Bucco was UNREAL. When it was placed in front of me, I just touched the bone and all the meat fell off. Soooo Delicious! Absolutely heading back. It's a BYOB so make sure you bring a bottle with you! Had a wonderful rehearsal dinner with 50 people at IL porto. The food and service were fantastic and of course the atmosphere and scenery are amazing. Hats off to the manager Tricia! She made sure everything was perfect for our celebration. We will definitely see El Porto and hopefully Tricia again. Thank you so much

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Nick and Maria are the best! I went here with my friends and was promptly seated by a window (the view was amazing!), our waiter was very attentive and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We got the calamari and boneless wings as appetizers and they were TO DIE FOR. I had the capellini for dinner and it may have been the best I’ve ever had. If you need a place to go for dinner, iL Porto is the spot!!!

One of my favorite go to places, The view from the deck is just breath taking especially for sunsets, the colorful skies are just awestruck! but when paired with the some great food makes it even more special. I had taken quite many people with me, and never had anyone been disappointed. Few of my places where i make sure, I go with a good appetite. I love the Chicken Rollatini and salads there.

The food is delicious, the service is good too, obviously depends who you get the day of and how their day is going, but overall i always recommend this place to anyone in the area and all my clients ( to be wed couples)

Great experience on the boardwalk in Sparta. Waitstaff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Food is excellent. Fresh well prepared and very decent portions. Nice setting with views of the lake. Prices very reasonable. Can't ask for much more

Spectacular...!!! The food, the service, the view! We have been coming to Il Porto's for many years...but whatever they are doing now is just amazing! The staff is friendly...we were seated immediately...clean, outdoor seating and the FOOD!!! The Shrimp Scampi (HUGE SHRIMP...No joke like small lobster tails)...Veal Saltimbocca with a delicate sauce, angel hair pasta and tender baby spinach...They put a twist on chicken tenders with a wonderful dipping sauce and fresh endive that both kids and adults loved...the entire menu is well executed...the calamari was tender and flaky...very fresh and not to be overlooked as a starter...very generous portion as well...and I felt a bit hesitant to order the "Signature" Burger with so many nice entrees available but I am so glad I did! This is a gourmet burger...loaded up with bacon and crispy onions and cheese, their own three meat blend patty...delicious and exactly medium rare as ordered!!! Chef owner came out to chat which was nice...overall as good as it gets...a special place...!

Beautiful setting right off the boardwalk and next to the lake. Great atmosphere and great food

Just had a communion party here of 16, and can't say enough positive things. The food was delicious, and everyone had a great time. The manager was so very attentive and personable. She made time to have little conversations, although you know she was very busy. We really appreciated everything she did to help make this party flow.

one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. Pasta Burrata was fabulous! and the Tirimisu was superb!

The ambience and view of Lake takes the credit. We had cod, salmon, calamari, stacked mozzarella, linguini, cod was good. Salmon was average but less tasty. View is amazing

The food is excellent. Fried Calamari, Mussles and Bruschetta were delicious and the portions were generous. Rigatoni Quatro Formagi with Chicken was outstanding!

The staff was friendly and quick but were not rushing us at all.

Will absolutely go back and recommend that you give it a try!

My wife & I went there for New Year's eve with some friends and we had a great time. The restaurant isn't very big but comfortable with great friendly service. The dinner took a while to come out but it was well worth the wait, it was delicious. I would highly recommend it.

Awesome location! Great food! BYOB (easy to do, park in the Lake Mowhawk Country Club lot - for a small fee if you are not a member - and pick up a nice wine at White Deer Liquor store on your short stroll to the restaurant.) Really great in the warmer months when you can dine outside on the boardwalk overlooking the lake.
