Star Supply is a best kept local secret. If your eccentric tinkering Dad could imagine a store to spend a couple of hours in... this is that daydream. Today, I saw butcher block countertop pieces there, wallets made from recycled rubber, anti-fatigue mats, and big bags of marbles... I bought 3/8" cotton cord for making a coiled rag rug (100 feet for 8$), and heavy washers for use as fabric weights in my sewing studio. I also found a heavy duty set of casters for my cutting table. But what makes this place 100% fantastic are the hilarious little signs over each unusual little pile of items... Dad will love it, so will Mom, Uncle Fester, Pugsly and Wednesday. Classic Youngstown!

If you are looking for some things to use for remodeling definitely check them out before going to the local chain!! Great stuff at a portion of the price!!

I get bolt & nuts several different screws sizes, washers lock and flat for 3$ and some change per lb

Very friendly staff, good prices, good selection for home improvement supplies. Bought a beautiful countertop there and will be installing that this week. Very happy!

Awesome place to browse for practical stuff we all need at home and in the garage, but also some super awesome random finds. Like giant steel fire pits (left over propane storage tank ends), steel, building materials, foam, tools. Always an entertaining hour when I get to stop in.

Cool place! Difficult hours for me to get there but we are in a pandemic.
I am going back and loading up. My family thought the bowling pins were the coolest thing. I'm getting a few of those.

Love shopping here! They always have a good selection of whatever nuts and bolts you need. Plus they are always getting different stuff in. Need vinyl lattice? How about a window or door for your house? Trim board? Expanded metal? Aluminum or steel angle, tube, plate? Tires for your mower? Pillows for your outdoor patio? Counter tops for your kitchen? They've got all that and much, much more! Even if you don't need anything (you'll find something!) Stop and look around as you never know what you'll find!

We always find something useful at a great price when we take a trip up to Star Supply! Sometimes it's completely random nothing you planned on grabbing and of course they're always good for supplies you do need for a better price! The store is dusty and full of stuff and perfect for what it is!

The place to go for all building or craft needs. Great place. Worth a visit just to check out the inventory and prices. We bought our countertops there 10 years ago and we do a lot of cooking in our kitchen, and they still look brand new. They have almost everything here at great deals.

OMG! I'm in LOVE! THIS is an AWESOME store! I've driven by many times, wanting to stop but never having the time to actually do it. I had time to kill so I stopped by, and I'm sooooo glad I did! I was greeted at the door by several energetic employees... When I told them it was my first time there, they were all kinds of excited to give me good info. A plethora of items to behold... I SWEAR I got *whiplash* just looking around (astonished) at all they had to offer! The prices? FANTASTICAL!

Seriously, though, visit this store. The employees are awesome, great selection of items, and VERY affordable prices! Give yourself at LEAST a half-hour to peruse the aisles and endcaps. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed!!!!

They have so much stuff here. The person who makes signs has a sense of humor and can think of oddball things to do with the assortment of stuff they have. Before we begin any home-improvement projects we stop there to see if they have items in stock that will be able to be used for an incredibly reduced price. When I taught middle school and our children were building vehicles for a creativity competition, we would stop there because they had so many things that could be adapted. They had table tops and paneling and doors and hardware and cabinets and you name it.

Large selection of unique & every day construction items such as baseboards, trim & oak butcher blocks. All at great prices. My new craft room is grateful! Staff is extremely helpful!

I love Star Supply. my husband and I and our adult children enjoy shopping here. we are like kids in a candy store. They always have odds and ends, you never know what you might find and you always leave with something no matter what.

This Place Is The Absolute best! I'll drive from Columbus to get stuff from them because the prices are so good and they have such unique selection. It's a really clean store and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a hint of army surplus in a good way not in a "do you want to by a black market MIG 15" kind of way. I always look down every aisle because have so many little hidden gems that you didn't know you need. I can't say enough nice things about this place. The world needs more stores like this.

Got keys made great price and fast. Reasonable prices on supplies for repairs or upgrades for your home. Got good deal on pillows for my couch. Bought a rake also for 10 bucks.

What an experience and a treasure this place is. I took my wife and kids in here because our old gas furnace needed a replacement blower, the belt-driven one had about died and I thought I'd seen them here before. I snapped a pic of the electric motor placard and matched up the best I could on a newer-style direct drive blower, used for only $40. I was hesitant but I sorted out the wiring and wired it up and to my pleasant surprise it works even better than the old belt-drive unit and is so much quieter.

My kids, of course, were interested in the toys that looked like surplus from something or other and lady, who appeared to be maybe an owner or manager, was over-the-top kind enough to give each of my kids a nice toy dump truck. They were excited for days afterward and it means a lot to me as a parent that someone would be kind enough to make a little gesture such as that for my kids instead of being upset that there are little kids touching all over the merchandise.

I'll continue to go back here because more often than not I find things that I didn't even realize I needed!

We're redoing the laundry room. If this countertop works ( size) I will have saved over $100! Going home to measure. Also spied some cabinet doors that might work. Worth while to check them out if you like to D.I.Y. I bought two little toys for $2.00. I understand inventory changes, so we will be going back on and off to see what they have.

Great price for painting, wood stain windows and doors. No bath room items but kitchen cabinets. I gave them 5 star but be aware of no bathroom supply.

There is not a better hard wear store in a 100 miles. I dont travel to youngstown as often as i used to but i always try and stop when I'm in the area just to see whats new. This is hands down one of the best places to buy windows if your looking for a replacement.
