DoubleTree by Hilton Youngstown Downtown

I recently had the pleasure of staying here while attending the Game Changers Leadership Summit, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted with smiles and the staff ensured my comfort and satisfaction. They were incredibly professional, courteous, and attentive to all my needs. All staff members demonstrated a high level of hospitality and service.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing a great night's sleep after a long day of summit activities.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or pleasure. Thank you to the entire team and I look forward to returning in the future!

There are plenty of places to dine within walking distance of the hotel and even more options if you are willing to drive.
Overall, I'd have to say this is the best hotel in the Youngstown area.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast is not good but the brunch and dinner served in the restaurant is very delicious. The rooms are very clean. Although the walls near the elevators are icky, they just need someone to take the time to wipe them down. Little things go a long way. The staff is very nice. Overall the stay was good.

I recently attended the Game Changers Leadership Summit at Youngstown State University and had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Youngstown. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience!

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and provided all the comforts needed for a productive and restful weekend.

Additionally, the convenient location in downtown Youngstown made it easy to explore local attractions and restaurants, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit.

Wonderful Employees! It was a year ago that we stayed here for a week while waiting for our household belonging to arrive and it was amazing because of all of the Employees. The room was comfy, just wished at the time the small refrigerator was a bit larger, but it was still wonderful staying here.

I was a guest for the Game Changers Leadership Summit and I had a great experience there. The staff were super friendly, the rooms were very clean, and the hotel looks very nice! 10/10 Highly recommend!

The only non-spectacular features were the breakfast buffet and hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricier ($18/person) and just okay, but the bacon was awesome. And the hotel restaurant was average at best.

That being said, there are plenty of places to dine within walking distance of the hotel and even more options if you are willing to drive.

Overall, I'd have to say this is the best hotel in the Youngstown area.

We are in Youngstown for the state wrestling tournament where it was hard to book any rooms even 2 months in advance! Unfortunately we had to book at a days inn Wyndham but upon check in we ended up stranded at 11pm after driving almost 5 hrs. It took 1 phone to double tree and they had the absolute sweetest women at the desk who accommodated us and just went so above and beyond to make sure we had CLEAN and safe place to sleep. Even helped us move rooms since it was so last minutes for 2 night stay! The service and experience were wonderful!

While Youngstown, Ohio seems to be a surprisingly dead area, this hotel is amazing. We had a room with a king bed and everything was clean (minus a cup that had water and something else in it), it's spacious, and overall a wonderful deal.

We had a wonderful stay at the Youngstown DoubleTree. We were upgraded to a corner suite on the 11th floor and the room was wonderful. It was very clean and comfortable. We really liked the art deco vibe of the building. Everyone in the hotel is friendly and helpful. The parking was right around the corner either in an outdoor or covered lot - very convenient for a downtown hotel. I had a billing issue and one call to the front desk and the staff person I spoke with was on it. We would have liked to stay longer!

My wife and I have stayed here a couple times. For being the only hotel in the immediate area, the prices you pay for what you get are very good. The hotel itself is in a renovated historic building right in the heart of downtown Youngstown. The rooms are clean and spacious, some of them offer great views of downtown, and you can walk to the Covelli Centre, OH WOW!, YSU, and anything else downtown you want to see or do.

The restaurant in the hotel is a little pricey, but you're right near The Federal, Avalon Downtown pizzeria, Penguin City brewery, and Cassese's MVR (an Italian joint), all of which are good options. And if you want to drive a little bit, you can just cross the bridge and get on 680 to go to either Boardman or Austintown to the restaurants in those places.

For being what I believe is the only hotel downtown, they do a really good job. Looking forward to staying here again!

This is our third year being hosted by Doubletree by Hilton Youngstown, and I couldn't be more impressed. Each year, Mr. Steve Mitchell, the General Manager, ensures that all our arrangements are perfect. When my team and I arrived, the staff was AMAZING as always. As a former Cast Member of Disney, I deeply appreciate the exceptional hospitality we receive during each stay. From the seamless check-in process, personable assistance of Mary, to Audrey— the night auditor, accommodating our unexpected needs or graciously giving me another chocolate chip cookie, the experience is consistently top-notch. Thank you, Steve and the team at Doubletree Youngstown, for your outstanding service!

Check-in staff was friendly and efficient! Our large room was comfortable and well-appointed. Bistro 1907 is a gem! Great decor and excellent food. The manager, Steven was friendly and courteous. Hailey, our server was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. Parking was convenient to the front entrance. Highly recommend!

Great hotel in a near literal ghost town. For an extra $50, we got a nice upgrade to the two room suite. The room was huge! It had wrap-around windows giving us a view of downtown. All the staff were super friendly and helpful with the front desk clerk running to the elevator twice and using her access key to help me out when my hands were full. This is an older historic building and not your cookie-cutter Doubletree. The renovations look great. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning, Bistro 1907, which was excellent. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and those brownies were to die for. The only issue, which is not with the hotel itself, is downtown is a literal ghost town. We walked down the street and found about a half a dozen places to eat, all of them near empty.

The entire experience was excellent. The room was well-furnished and immaculately clean. The front desk was pleasant. I would recommend the restaurant downstairs. The food was good quality and the staff was very good. Overall great experience.

I was lucky enough to stay at this Hilton property during a recent trip through Youngstown and was very pleased. The parking lot was close, the room was large, clean and had all the amenities that you'd expect. I ate at the restaurant downstairs for dinner and had a great vegan meal (best one on the trip). Good stuff and my company card didn't feel a thing!

An absolutely amazing venue. Rooms in this converted office tower are very modern, and the bathrooms rival those found in exclusive hotels. The lobby is very cozy and inviting. The lounge area has a nice view of downtown, which itself is a combination of classic office towers and new structures. Incredibly courteous staff, both front desk and catering manager. Honestly this hotel and its view of downtown Youngstown, promote the city quite well.

This hotel has a cool historic vibe while still being sleek and modern. Lots of great security aspects from the gated parking lot to secure building entry. The view of downtown Youngstown at night was awesome! The staff was very professional and friendly. The morning lobby coffee tasted great too! Let's get more folks to stay here and help revive the downtown area,😃

Staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect! Our room could have been bigger but it was very comfortable! The restaurant on the property needs a new manager! Food on Wednesday night was the worst meal I’ve ever had. Steak was bad. Smelled horrible and not just to me. It had to pass thru 4 employees hands before getting to the table! On Sunday the manager very rudely told us at 11:15 that we had to be gone by noon. We spent over 7,000.00 in food over 4 days. If they keep that person on staff they will most assuredly loose sales! But the hotel was fantastic!
