Located inside the Providence Train station, you can pick up a quick to go coffee, soda, or pastry. They also make fresh sandwiches and smoothies.

Very affordable, quick, convenient breakfast

While waiting for the train for work we decided to grab a quick breakfast. I have to say, these folks work fast! The sandwiches here are freshly made with local ingredients. Which I was not expecting from a small cafe.

Delicious food. Highly recommend. Chill and kind staff. Fresh ingredients at a fair price.

Really good stuff! Not your typical captive audience station food fare. Everything here is fresh, the atmosphere is bustling, the staff on the counter are friendly and the food comes out fast. My favorite part? They have bread and pastry from Iggy's Bread Of The World, which is my favorite bakery in the world. If you're heading for the train, it's a no brainer, but even if you're just hanging out in the neighborhood, Care La France is an excellent choice for breakfast and lunch.

Local-owned business that has stood the test of time. They're terrific, a dedicated group of individuals who take pride in serving delicious food. They're not slow by any means; if you're looking for "ready in 15 seconds" b/v you have to catch your train, you won't have time. But if you can wait, the food here is worth waiting for.

I've been here a few times, mostly for breakfast, and have never been disappointed. Tons of options for breakfast and lunch. The food always seems fresh and definitely delicious. Fresh piping hot self serve coffee. Prices are very reasonable too. Depending on what you order you might wait a little bit for it. So keep this in mind if your train is arriving soon.

Very fast efficient service - staff know that customers could be dashing for a train. Really satisfying bacon egg and cheese sandwich - bacon was uber crisp, sandwich was hearty sized. Great coffee.

Ok, I'm very picky. I travel A LOT and I could not believe my luck at this place being so fantastic. Been twice so far, sandwich, soup and coffee was delicious and fresh. I'll come next time I'm in the area even if I'm not taking the train. ( Great music playing and fresh flowers on the tables?! Yep. )

Dropped by today for a quick lunch around noon. Amazing sandwiches, to say the least. I would eat here every day if I could. Fresh ingredients, delicious grilled bread, and ample portions - this place is absolutely worth your time and money.

Funny enough, this is actually one of my favorite cafes in PVD. It's a super convenient location downtown, right inside the Amtrak/commuter rail station. The sandwich options are plenty! The drinks are smooth and well-mixed. Great place to sit and work and chat. Or wait for your train, of course.

So glad this place is in the Amtrak station. $5 excellent breakfast sandwiches where you can get focaccia for no extra charge. Really great priced vegetarian salads and to-go sandwiches. Such a lovely surprise to have such an awesome and cute cafe.

I am always impressed by this little gem of a place! I travel on Amtrak every couple of months on business and stop here for a quick bite. For a casual little spot, their attention to detail is impressive. First, I am always struck & so pleased at the great music they choose to play. Additionally, they have a rotating display of quality artwork, fresh flowers on the tables & of course the food.. It is comfort food but good quality & with healthy options. A place of refuge & relaxation before a busy business trip. Thank you!

In 2020, I found out my father had died while standing waiting for a coffee at Cafe La France. I nearly passed out. The staff were amazing, I will never forget their kindness.
Also the mozzarella basil and tomato sandwich is always fresh and fantastic.
