The River Bistro

We decided to brave the cold and give the River Bistro a visit for dinner. We were pleasantly greeted into their warm,cozy restaurant. Our dinner did not disappoint. I had the chicken Parmesan which was cooked just the way I like it. Nice and crispy on the edges and tender in the center. It was delicious. The portion was huge. Two breasts and plenty of pasta which gave me a nice take home dinner for today too. My husband seafood special which was a large piece of pan seared salmon, shrimp, and scallops on a bed of saffron rice. He loved it. The portion was large also. What was especially nice was that the chef came out to our table to make sure that we were pleased with our entrees. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Good food, large portions, nice atmosphere. We certainly will be back!

The food and atmosphere was excellent!! The quality of food was extremely fresh. Our only issue was there was soooo much we wanted to eat, we will have to make several trips to try them all!! It’s worth the trip portions were great!! We will ABSOLUTELY be back! And you will NOT be disappointed.

Delicious tapas, great location and the sweetest staff! Everything we got was SO good! The empanadas are an absolute must, garlic shrimp has so much flavor and the easy like Sunday morning burger will not let you down! Definitely worth a visit!

Every time we come here it’s never a disappointment food is always amazing staff is fantastic the owner is the sweetest human! We will travel from Massachusetts any day to visit here again 🤍

**Bottomless mimosas are a must**

Everything was great from start to finish. The location is right along the river and walking distance from anything downtown.
The food was fresh, delicious and expertly presented. The service was fabulous as well. My water was refilled, I was checked on just enough and my food was served hot.
I highly recommend the River Social to enjoy fabulous cocktails, delicious food and great service steps from the waterfront.
The espresso martinis and bread pudding are heavenly!

We went on a Thursday night. We made a reservation and it was definitely not needed as we were the only people there. The service was great! Our waiter gave us a lot of recommendations of things to do and places to eat while we are in Providence. We started off with the garlic shrimp - 10/10. The craft cocktails were delicious and had great presentation.

First timer to this Providence riverwalk gem. We're a party of 3 that included a child, made reservations on Thurs for 6:00pm. No problem being sat inside, although, we could've sat outside as well. It's a small but, trendy restaurant with a long bar and inspirational quotes adorning the walls. Enjoyed their Hummus and pita appetizer. We were asked if we'd like more pita bread but, weren't told we would be charged for it. We also tried the Lamb burger, Falafel sandwich, and cheese burger, all paired with fries. Both service and food were fantastic. Although, double check your bill. We were accidentally charged for a BYOBurger. The manager was kind enough to refund the difference to our CC. All in all, we had a great dining experience and we'll return to try the brunch menu in the near future.

Service . Drinks & food were exceptional. Staff was very accommodating. I asked to modify martini & it was done with a smile & checked to make sure i liked it . Highly recommend , definitely will be back !!

Food is pretty good. The waffle bites with all the toppings were awesome! Fun brunch drinks. Great views right on the water. This place is fun. Don’t let the poor reviews discourage you!

Don’t believe the poor reviews. Idk what these people are saying “great food, great staff, took a few minutes too long to get the food I really enjoyed, 2 stars”?? What??

Food was great and location was nice with outdoor dining right on the river. I had the chicken and waffles, they were delicious! I’m not a fan of spicy food, so the sriracha sauce on them was just enough to add flavor without being too hot. Good selection of drinks, too. Loved getting to watch people walk by and gondolas float down the river while we ate. Would recommend!

I participated in the first event of cooking with Chef Stefan. Very nice and friendly environment. Great location with a view of the water. Can't wait till summer when you can dine outside over by the water. Looking forward to trying the rest of menu. Chef Stefan is fun, exciting, enthusiastic and great teacher.

Beautiful restaurant on the river that heralds Waterfire in Providence. You HAVE to try the egg rolls from the apps menu. And the Seared scallops were mouth-watering! The steak frite with Papa fritas and arugula salad rounded out our perfect dinner date. But what made everything above and beyond was our waitress Rachel. We thought we lost our keys and she was interrogating the kitchen staff 😕 but we found them and we'll use them to come back soon to this gem of a date spot.

Amazing food and atmosphere! Staff was phenomenal and I can not wait to go back! The Oreo French toast was so good and probably the best French toast I’ve had to date, very soft and delicious. The views of the river and the sun rays through the windows was very nice.

I visited The River Bistro and was truly impressed with its prime location, delightful food offerings, and an impressive variety of drinks. The combination of a great setting and exceptional culinary and beverage choices makes it a standout destination. Highly recommended!

I don’t really understand the negative reviews for this place. I came here a while ago and I had a great experience; the food was nice, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and has modern deco. The water view was awesome. Please give it a try!

The river bistros restaurant and bar providence Rhode Island It’s the best place to be. Have a drink near the water dinner delicious restaurant customer service perfect. You walk in . Everybody’s smiling manager good personality I highly recommended.

My husband and I came here for dinner. I got a spicy margarita, and I've been dying to go back for another. I had a Ceasar Salad, which was yummy too. Such a cute little place tucked away!

Perfect brunch today! Met very great people, and definitely will be going back soon for their cooking classes.

Beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view of the river, especially on a nice day. We ordered a couple of drinks. The service was quick and the one cocktail was served beautifully. Had we been able to, the menu offered a great selection; however, we didn't have time to taste test. The area was quiet which allowed for a moment of relaxation.
