I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cafe and restaurant located in downtown, conveniently situated across from the theater. The coffee and drinks were top-notch, and the macarons and pastries were exceptionally well-made, providing a delightful treat for the taste buds. The food menu featured simple yet delicious options, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The interior design had a lovely aesthetic, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're stopping by for a coffee, a snack, or a meal, this place offers a wonderful ambiance and tasty offerings that are sure to satisfy.

The best breakfast sandwich I ever had! Good cappuccino and good french croissant! Pastries look so good, but unfortunately we couldn't try it all 🤭. Workers here are really kind and friendly.
Update: 4 months later still as good as I remember! Breakfast Sandwich with sausage is so good that it remains our first choice. I loved this time tumeric tonic as well!

I had a great experience with Ellie's and would recommend their treats and services! Stephanie was wonderful to work with. She was very attentive, answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I ended up changing my order a few different times and she was so accommodating. We ordered macarons to be delivered to our church and they were absolutely delicious! These sweet treats added to our Mother's Day breakfast and I can't wait to order from Ellie's again.

I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower yesterday. It was perfect! It was exactly what I envisioned. The ambiance was intimate and peaceful. The food was delicious and so flavorful. The cake and cookies were yummy. The service was right on point including the bartender. And I cannot forget the event coordinator, Stephanie. She didn’t miss one thing and made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely evening filled with love.

This is a great spot! The staff is extremely friendly and passionate about what they do. I have never done a French press and Helen who was taking my order took the time to completely explain the process to me and what makes it different. She later asked how I liked it and really seemed to be interested in what I thought. I also had the avocado toast and yogurt parfait. It’s a really great interior with plenty of room to do work or hang out with a friend. The pastries and baked goods looked great as well. Excellent spot in PVD!!

From start to finish, our catered bridal shower experience was nothing short of exceptional! The team behind the scenes not only delivered delicious food but also were a joy to work with.

This was my first catered event and the folks at Ellie's were so helpful. They were professional and genuinely invested in making our bridal shower unforgettable. The staff accommodated gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy free requests and the entire process was seamless and stress-free.

I cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone looking to cater an event. Thanks to Stephanie, Maria, Ellen and the rest of the crew.

had a lovely afternoon matcha here. monkey bread was also delectable. and not too pricey given the feeling of casual luxury here, with beautiful yet homey interior and fancy cakes. the staff were absolutely lovely and even though it closes at 3pm, there was no rush to leave. highly recommend for a coffee, pastry or brunch

The staff at Ellie’s is what makes this place. Every single employee was super nice, friendly, and professional. Order the spicy Bloody Mary. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped here on a weekend trip, it was exactly what we were looking for! We love coffee shops that not only make good coffee but have the atmosphere that welcomes and makes you comfortable. It was busy, so we got ours to go! The hot vanilla latte, and hazelnut cold brew were amazing. The only thing we would change is the size, they didn't last long!

Ellie’s Bakery did an amazing job with our wedding cake and was wonderful to work with. We went to a cake tasting and knew from the start that we were in the right place. Stephanie was professional, detailed, and thoughtful with the planning process- she made everything easy on our end. Our coffee and mini cake tasting was an amazing experience. We had a tough time picking a flavor because they we all so delicious! Our wedding was on Block Island and the Ellie's team went the extra mile to have someone deliver the cake on the boat (in not so great weather) and make sure we were taken care of on our wedding day. We can't recommend Ellie's Bakery enough to anyone planning a wedding in the Providence area.

Came upon this wonderful bakery while attending a conference from out of town. What a wonderful surprise! Their house made gluten free bread is divine and the avocado toast is the best I have ever had.

Not only was Stephanie from Ellie's a joy to work with, but her level of professionalism, kindness and the generosity of her staff surpassed our expectations!! What a wonderful experience!!! Their finishing touches made our event that much more special!

They have plenty of tables and seats and a Restroom. I love it here but the chicken sandwich wasn’t my style. My boyfriend loved it so that’s my own fault but it was like very difficult to eat. Pretty tho.

What a fantastic gem of a place. We wandered in on a snowy Sunday afternoon for some tea, and staying for a delicious brunch/lunch. We tried the famous roasted pork belly sandwich with pepper jelly, spicy mayo, broccoli rabe and crispy provolone cheese! We also tried a wonderful French toast special.

Ellie’s is a Providence must. They have an incredible selection of pastries, teas, coffees and breakfast sandwiches. The space is well ventilated and feels like a spacious Parisienne bakery! The staff are warm and friendly, and they took my food allergies super seriously.

Excellent work!! I had them design my cake for my baby shower, and had monogramed macaroon favors from them as well. They looked so elegant. They have so many flavors to choose from and they delivered right to my venue. Stephanie was great to work with and was able to work out some last minute changes which was greatly appreciated. Will be ordering from them for future events. Highly recommend!

Late night dessert is always fantastic. A very "coffee forward" espresso martini. They make these macaroon ice cream sandwiches that were heavenly; never had something like it. @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)

Absolutely lovely place to have a breakfast, take a little break and enjoy your coffee. Staff is extremely nice and polite. Everything is delicious, non dairy options available, fresh hot pastries etc. We ordered lots of stuff, turned out one thing was out of stock and we were offered a free replacement. Extremely happy with the experience.

Ellie's is a beautiful cafe with food to match. I regularly get to go pastries and they are always top notch and incredible. Not only is it beautiful is delicious. The staff knows me by name and is always lovely, kind and takes their time with each customer no matter the line. I love it here!

Great food and service! Homemade tomato jam on signature egg sandwich was a great touch! Cinnamon buns are incredible. Owner and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Went back again for takeout coffee and pastries. Looking forward to when they open for dinners.

Must stop bakery in Providence. Delicious baked goods and drinks. They also offer baking classes which I’ve been to and love.
