Lifespan Pharmacy at Rhode Island Hospital

I'm not a big fan of pharmacies, but this one does it right.

Even though they're in a busy hospital, their service is much more personal than at the big corporate pharmacies. They're quick but polite, and they take the time to go over the drugs with you. That should be the way it is at every pharmacy, but unfortunately, it's a rarity these days.

I wish I had the gentleman's name. He was very resourceful. I was shocked how kind and caring he was. He went above and beyond. Over all, my intentions were highly satisfied with this pharmacy.

I’ve always experienced helpful staff in person and on the phone. I really like the extended hours too (open early and late).

The staff at this pharmacy are terrific. Very helpful at making sure I get my prescribed medicine in a timely fashion.

Having to go to this pharmacy at Kent Hospital actually turned out to be a great experience. First of all, I had never been there before and had no idea where to park or where inside the hospital the pharmacy was located. I ended up driving around to the backside of the hospital and parked in one-hour patient parking. There were two doors I had to choose from... one said Ambulatory Care and the other didn't say anything but I could see a booth inside that said Information. I went in the Information door, walked up to the booth and asked where I could find the pharmacy. The woman smiled, pointed behind me and said "Right behind you." I thought 'Wow! What luck!' Anyway, inside the pharmacy, they were all very nice. I had to wait a few minutes for them to finish filling my prescription, but that didn't take long at all and before I knew it I was out of there! Very small waiting area, but very clean and sterile like. And about the waiting area, I don't think too many people should be hanging around a pharmacy anyway. And there's plenty of room in the lobby if there were a lot of people waiting.

Best Pharmacy in Rhode Island. Very Professional Staff and they spend the time to explain anything you need about your medications. If you are an inpatient they will deliver the meds to your room at RIH before you leave the bed. Great Job. No long wait time...

They need to realize if they fill scripts every 28 days, whatever day of the week you fill it , no matter how many days in the month, your scripts will always be due on the very same day of the week ..
