Great experience! A group of us were in town and wanted lunch! We came in hungry and were pleasantly surprised! Queso was best I have ever had! (Notice the pic of the half eaten bowl!!!) This salad was so fresh and the cilantro lime dressing was the perfect touch! Chips and hot sauce were yummy!!!! Husband had tacos and friends had quesadillas! This is a can’t go wrong! (And we are from Texas and know Mexican food!!)

My family and I have been coming here for 20+ years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always courteous and the food is always good.

This is one of the more reasonably priced options in town and you get good bang for your buck.

The chips & salsa are 10/10.

If you want a filling, flavorful breakfast, this has been our go to spot, and we highly recommend.

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday. Service was fast. Food was excellent! I had the egg and chorizo burrito. My wife had the blue berry pancakes with homemade whipped cream. The had free self-serve chips and salsa. Good coffee choices too (iced latte, Americano).

We ordered a platter and tried the jackfruit tamales! Both were really yum and their smoothies are a must try too!!
We tried the attitude adjustment and ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!

Stopped here on my way passing through town. Quick and friendly service at the counter and the chillie rellenos were very tasty. Portion size was filling without being excessive. Complementary chips and salsa with salsa options, both that I tried were bright and fresh. Varying spice levels, but nothing too crazy.

First time here and we loved this place. The food was very authentic, service was quick, and the people working were very nice. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quicker yet still delicious meal downtown.

There aren't too many vegan options in the area but this little place offers a fantastic vegan plate loaded with deliciousness! The salad is so yummy with a sweet flavorful dressing. Vegan posole is top notch. It comes with warm corn tortillas💗 The whole plate always great!

Best Mexican food in Telluride! Vegan options, a vegan plate, Borge green and red are vegan, free chips and salsa. The list goes on. Lunch or dinner and the service is fast! A rare feature in this town.

We enjoyed our meal here. Authentic green and red chile. Migas and Huevos Rancheros were fantastic!! Indoor and outside seating available. We will definitely go back! Yum!

The gentleman who served us today gave us some of the best service we have ever had! Excellent food, so friendly and accommodating with suggestions and so kind. The food was incredible. We knew as soon as the chips and salsa came we were in for a treat. Fresh made juices were amazing and chicken and carne very fresh and quality. Thank you so much!

I've been to this place many times, always great. The last visit I got the Mole Chicken Enchiladas Special with mixed vegetables & beans and it was excellent 😋. I love the chips & salsa bar.

FESTIVARIANS: Do the tarp run and then come here for breakfast. It’s local, organic and delicious! Outdoor patio out back is serene with waterfall and edible garden. The detoxify drink will wipe out your NightGrass shenanigans and propel to dance the afternoon away.

La Cocina De Luz is so so good! They have multiple listed vegan options and vegan ice cream! Additionally, they seem to be one of the best bang for your buck places in Telluride without compromising quality. The portions are very large and absolutely delicious. Everything seemed to be very fresh and they have a free salsa and chips bar with a variety of tasty salsas! You order at the counter and bus yourself, but they bring the food out to you. They also had paper straws and take out boxes!! Yay!

Our favorite part was the taco bar. With a purchase greater than $14 it is included. Chips,onions, cilantro, pico, a variety of salsa, veggies, and sour cream. We split the two tacos with two side. The pork and chicken taco seemed to be similarly seasoned. The side veggies with garlic were on point and the side salad was topped with perfectly seasoned jicama. Front and back patio seating. Order at the counter. They also have ice cream...we got one come with split flavors. It was perfect!

La Covina Del Luz is a casual Mexican restaurant right in the heart of Telluride. There is no table service you walk up to the counter and select and pay for your selections.

The place seemed to be pretty busy all the time. I got the organic Guacamole and it was pretty good not exceptional.

I’ve lived in El Paso and Santa Fe and the food here is as good as any. I love the unpretentious, down home atmosphere and the salsa bar as well.

Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Top notch margarita. Nacho chips with salsa bar. The shredded chicken tostada was fantastic. Husband had tacos, beef machaca and Yucatán pork. Son had tostadas, beef machaca and Yucatán pork. Everything was so flavorful. Great people, too! When in Telluride, it’s a must.

La Cocina de Luz is not to be missed! They make everything in house, fresh salsas, tortilla chips, tamales, etc., using local, and organic ingredients.

I go nearly everyday for their freshly pressed juice. It is the only place in town where you can get organic, fresh juice. They have several combinations from which to choose, or you can make your own. My go to is: celery, cucumber, lemon, turmeric, and pineapple. It’s beyond delicious, and so incredibly healthy!

Fernanda, Marciella, and David make the absolute best, and are always so friendly, kind, and considerate, All of the staff at La Cocina are. Definitely go, and enjoy a meal there! They also serve breakfast that is also fantastic!
