Very lovely bookstore!

Great little place to hang out at a quaint book store, super coffee!! We did a coffee art class there, Roxanne and the staff are so friendly and hospitable. It doesn't get more local than this!! To bad I can't give them 10 stars.

One of those bookstores where you feel like you need to buy a book you don't need, just because it's so pleasant to walk in and browse books, stop for an espresso in the next-door cafe, and go back to browsing books on local interest, fiction, nonfiction, you name it.

Such a lovely, small town, classic bookstore. Always warm and welcoming! The staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help with special requests. The bonus is the sweet coffee shop in the back. Its a must see when visiting the beautiful, picturesque town of Telluride! Tell all your friends to shop local!

My favorite store in Telluride is hands down Between the Covers Bookstore! It is an experience not to be missed ! When I walk in the bookstore, I feel immediately at ease. Just entering the bookstore is magic to my soul! It calms my mind, body and spirit! The incredibly knowledgeable staff is kind and helpful. They give personalized attention to assist you in selecting books, cards and gifts. The selection of books is amazing given the size of the store. I have been going to this store for literally decades! Bobbi and Daiva, the owners, know their books and create awesome selections to go with the various festivals we have during the year. Oh! and they have a great magazine selection and there is coffee and delightful treats with tables and a counter to talk and or peruse books available in the rear of the store! Really!!!! You must go into the store and experience the more than century old squeaky wood floors, glorious books up the sides of the walls and everywhere in the middle!. Between the Covers Bookstore is simply and wonderfully unique as is the amazing staff awaiting you there to guide you!

Loved visiting "Between the Covers". Came in with the family for a coffee and a look around. The Staff selections caught my eye and I got into a great conversation with Brad who was minding the store. We ended up buying a few recommendations and look forward to going there again. If you're in Telluride make sure to stop by and get yourself a great book ... and coffee.

Great way to enjoy coffee away from the main drag and long lines. Excellent coffee with a nice selection of baked goods and breakfast burritos, given the small size of the shop.

Coffee shop! The employees all have great knowledge of many of the new
books and general literary info. Bobbi gives special attention
to detail and a wealth of knowledge on books. Love this Local Bookstore!

Between the Covers Bookstore is a Telluride treasure and the staff has always been most kind and helpful on every occasion I have had the pleasure to shop there. The selection of books, greeting cards and delicious coffee is outstanding. I am sincerely impressed with the diligence of the staff in ensuring a safe, clean space by insisting on all visitors sanitizing their hands and wearing masks during the pandemic.

Excellent coffee, snacks, and selection.

I love this bookstore! Besides a great book and magazine selection, they have fun and interesting gifts, there are some cool gals working there as well. Check out the cozy coffeeshop in the back where are you can chill with a nice latte.

It is fun to have an independent bookstore available in the town of Telluride, that is exactly one of the many gems that makes this town so special. I wander in occasionally on a mission but my family members and guests never miss going in the shop when visiting, usually multiple times. Everyone always has positive things to say and a purchase in hand when they come home!

Visited this book store a on our Great American West Road trip. The owner was exceptional. Gave us a great book recommendation and I bought a “Don’t be Dick” piece of art.

Totally made our day going here. I recommend you visit here too!

Great bookstore, with a wide variety of books and a super friendly helpful staff! Rad climbing books including the very rare Charlie Fowlers wild wild west book, It's no longer in print. You can browse through it at this shop and take a pictures of the pages. If you're a climber around this area you know how much of a gem that is. The coffee shop in the back is the best little cozy spot to treat yourself with the best breakfast burrito you can find, a hot cup of joe and delicious baked goods. in my opinion serves the best coffee in town. The baristas are awesome too!

Between the Covers is an iconic Telluride shop. The owners and employees love books, are knowledgeable and can get you any book you need. I really appreciate that they are staying open during the pandemic and doing everything necessary to make it possible to safely go to a real book store in these difficult times.

Support your local, independent bookstores! Between the Covers has been a Telluride gem for decades. They have managed to succeed at making shoppers feel safe during a long, tumultuous, and seemingly never-ending global pandemic. I always find great, meaningful gifts here (with help from the friendly and knowledgeable staff!), and enjoy the creaky wooden floors beneath my feet while browsing the shelves. Great books, quirky gifts, longtime local staff, and even local Telluride publications make this shop a necessary stop on any Main St venture.

For a town the size of Telluride this is just an amazing bookstore. We stopped in this morning for a visit and I was impressed with the selection of books they have. Whether you are looking for fiction, hiking guides, history or cookbooks you will definitely find some real gems here.

I looked extensively at the local book selection and found some great books about the history or Telluride. The hiking and outdoor section was right next to the local section and I had a great time looking at all the options and dreaming about my next trip and some possible hiking in the area.

The cookbook section was great. They had multiple copies of all the most popular cookbooks on the market and then some clever unique choices that I had not see before.

If I had a local store like this, I would be blessed as I honestly think that this local bookstore would give the large box booksellers a run for their money if they were located in the same area.
