I had a full knee replacement and it wasn't typical so I'm glad I checked reviews before deciding on Desert Palms, so I'm returning the favor with my review. The staff are all welcoming. Olin and Brittney were always upbeat and ready to help cheer me on. I also saw Dan for therapy a few times and he was very good as well. Brandon was my therapist and he created a plan and helped me learn to balance, walk and function again. Therapy was trailered to my needs. He shared knowledge and gave me exercises I could do at home that I'm still using today. I can't say PT is fun, but he made the time more enjoyable with his caring personality and he always had a smile. It's hard going through a difficult time and a trusting a therapist is important part of recovery. When my therapy was complete I actually missed going in. I highly recommend Brandon and the team at Desert Palms.
Last note occasionally there were puppies to distract me from the difficult sessions which helped a lot! More places should do this because a distraction to help push through is definitely needed at times. Everyone had a smile when the puppies showed up!

I had a hip replacement and a total of 16 PT visits after the surgery. Michael , Olin, and Brittany guided me through my recovery. The front desk staff was detail-oriented and scheduled my visits with ease. They kindly handled all necessary administrative requirements for my insurance approvals.

During my physical therapy, I never felt pushed to do any exercise. I wanted to get better. They are professionals, and know which exercises and stretches will give you back your mobility. The overall vibe throughout the studio is positive and encouraging. I trusted the process, and worked my home-assigned exercises (and will continue). I think that the Physical Therapist I was assigned to, Michael, is truly a good listener, and creates and adjusts a plan for your recovery. He is a true healer who has a lot of experience which translates to an innate knowledge about what each individual needs!

Desert Palms is amazing! I have been a patient here three separate times for different physical issues - all of which resolved thanks to the exercises and support given to me by this team of professional physical therapists. The front desk staff also provides friendly, top-notch service. Thank you Desert Palms!

This review is a little late in coming, but I can't thank Desert Palms enough for helping me out. At the end of April, I was faced with hip and leg pain so bad that I could hardy walk and barely slept. Had seen urgent care and was on heavy anti-inflammatories and was not making much progress. Faced with having to drive to Colorado in a couple of weeks, I sought out physical therapy. Desert Palms was recommended by several neighbors. When I called they were booked out for two weeks. I told the receptionist, Marion, my plight, and told her I was willing to be on a cancelation list. Marion called back the next day and managed to find me 4 appointments with Brandon. When I started, I was still in a lot of pain, could not stand very long, and was having my wife drive me there. By my 3rd appointment, pain was dissipating, I was walking and sleeping better, and was driving again. Brandon diagnosed nerve issues related to L5/S1 spinal joints and treated me accordingly. Turns out he was correct, as my Colorado doctor confirmed when I saw him. I am continuing PT in Colorado as Brandon and my doctor recommended, and am close to 100% healed. I'm so grateful for Marion getting me in and for Brandon working to get me better.

I wasn't sure if physical therapy would help my arthritic shoulder. But when an orthopedic surgeon suggested a scope or a shoulder replacement I suggested I try PT first. Tried Desert Palms on the recommendation of a friend, Glad I did. The strengthening and mobility exercises seem to be working, much less pain and I can lift my arm without supporting it. Patient therapist (Daniel) who understood my need to learn the what and why of each exercise. About 6 weeks into the therapy and will continue as we are seeing good results.

I had my Achilles tendon repaired in Jan and have been working with Marcus to get my strength back to become fully operational. I've been very pleased with the exercises he has me doing. They have been challenging and tailored to my specific situation. The surgeon said at my last check up I was about 4 weeks ahead of the normal progression at this time. Thank you Marcus.

I am having a great experience at Desert Palms PT. Right from the first call people are competent and friendly. I could not be happier with my Physical Therapist. He is a great diagnostician and has provided me with just the right exercises to help alleviate the pinched nerve and other maladies of my back. Progress is slow, of course, nothing is a magic bullet for the ravages of old age, but it is good to be on the right track.

Dan and his staff are very welcoming and helpful. Dan takes personal interest in making sure my therapy is effective and healing spinal, neck and arm pains. The exercises are fairly easy to follow yet very effective. Most of the pain and stiffness were gone in 4 weeks. Looking forward to working with Dan and the staff at Desert Palms Rancho Vistoso. Great experience.

I am 81. I am pretty healthy. I swim 1/3 mile every morning. But I was inactive for 6 weeks and got several painful illnesses. So off to Desert Palms to loosen up those old joints. The new staff is wonderful (I was there 3 years ago). Brandon is superb. Love my exercises and the rest of the staff that has helped me.

I have had therapy for a rotator cuff surgery last year and recently therapy for tendonitis in my left ankle. In both cases I have been very pleased with the outcomes I have enjoyed. I would recommend Desert Palms to anyone in need of physical therapy.

I had two injuries. A broken hip and a broken elbow. The therapists at Desert Palm Physical Therapy at Rancho Vistoso are rehabilitating me better than I expected. Even my surgeon was elated to see the progress I have made with the expert help and guidance from my therapist Dan Norkiewicz. I am not done yet but I know that by the end of my therapy sessions I will walk without a cane. I am thankful to have found the right place and the right people to get me there.

My husband, Mike Branigan, has been having PT treatments twice a week since September, and always speaks so highly of Dr. Daniel, Pam, A. and everyone else with whom he's been working. Within the first two weeks we both noticed a marked improvement in his posture and limberness, and he expressed that he was generally in less pain. Since then, he continues to improve and feel better. Mike performs the home exercises they've given him most days, and we both have developed a high level of trust and respect, and gratitude, for Desert Palms PT and it's talented, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The equipment and facilities are also noteworthy. We're happy to recommend anyone to this PT organization in Oro Valley, AZ.

I had a great experience at Desert Palms PT. Lots of one on one attention from the actual physical therapist as compared to the chains. I highly recommend!

Desert Palms Physical Therapy is a wonderful place to get well. They are all so great to work with, very patient and helpful and really helped me with multiple problems and showed me the proper way to deal with them. They are also always cleaning and disinfecting between each person to keep it safe for all of us.
They are a 5 * business!

Everybody I have interacted with at Desert Palms Physical Therapy has been professional, kind and helpful. After an initial assessment, a treatment plan was drafted and over the past several weeks I have seen improvement. Dan always includes the 'why' behind movements & exercises which helps me do them correctly.

I've gone to many other physical therapists who've made me worse. Mike spent a whole session evaluating what was wrong with me and diagnosed it in that first session. He spent two months with me fixing the issues with brilliant methods. I am doing so much better and have so much less pain.
