El Amigo

El Amigo is an absolute gem. Delicious food and kind, efficient staff. We visit 3-4 times per month, but I could eat here every day. Love it.

Just biked from Banks and found this place and it was awesome. The tacos were fantastic as was the habanero spicy sauce provided on the side. I had the marinated pork, al pastor, taco and a chorizo taco. Really nice snack stop for the turn around point for our ride.

Oh, they also had a really nice open area with picnic table seating to the side of the main restaurant, which is where the food cart was. Again, just a terrific place!

LOVE the food truck! the bakery leaves a lot to be desired but i dont like sweets much anyway. at the truck i always get fast service and great food. literally the only good place to eat in town

Delicious street tacos with all the good meats (if you're a shrimp taco fan like I am, you won't be disappointed), burritos are big enough to fill my belly, don't forget the grilled jalapeños... a hot salsa that's actually hot.

Make your way over to El Amigo, your taste buds will thank you.

Came across this place on the way from Portland exploring the forest area outside Pittsburgh. Stopped in for a warm snack. Everything was made fresh and delicious. Customer service was great and the food was made fresh. Put a smile on our faces.

Shrimp tacos were awesome as always though the pork was a little dry tonight but too there credit I was there right at the end of the night so no stars deducted 5 stars across the board and I love the small town atmosphere

Had the Boss Burrito....Oh my goodness! My new favorite! Carne Asada, pork, avacodo chunks, onions, a little cheese, (I'm probably missing something) in a flour tortilla wrapped in bacon and fried. Not overly greasy, done to perfection!

Great Mexican food, stopped off as my usual go-to Mediterranean restaurant was closed till February 🫤 Decided to try another Vernonia eatery. Pleasantly surprised with the quality torta I got here. Will be stopping by on future motorcycle rides.

Can’t beat the fish tacos! Great price and so delicious! We’ve also tried the burrito and quesadilla and enjoyed those as well.

Excellent fresh food plus open air seating so we should share with our dog.

Can I rate this place 10 stars? We tried the turnovers they were very good. Taste like fresh fruit and not too sweet. We also tried the crepe which was good and some more traditional mexican snacks. Everything taste great and the owner is very friendly.

Al pastor tacos were great but go inside the tienda on the main street for beautiful and tasty turnovers (savory and sweet). The spinach turnover was perfection and the cookies were absolutely fabulous as well.

Not expecting to be blown away, absolutely was. Seriously, I haven't had better Mexican food in years.

Our favorite place to go on Sundays. Homemade Mexican pastries with an American twist. Everything she makes is delicious (just ask my love handles). She custom makes cakes too.

Some of the crispiest carnitas I have ever had. My bf really liked the asada and chicken as well.

Came in for ice cream left with delicious homemade pastries. Both were delicious!

Love the shrimp and fish tacos here! Everything is fresh and delicious! Also highly recommend the sweet corn tamales!
