Anacostia Park

Nice little park with many small picnics. There was one RV stopped here. Music from some picnics. Seemed to be a popular area for people to meet. The is a roller blade arena close by. There is lots of parking. The trails are good for both running, biking or biking walking.

Anacostia Park is a great place to go when you are in SE DC or DC in general. It offers a variety of view and scenery. You can have family events and other functions here. I love taking walks here. I really love it here. Night or day, you will enjoy it here.

Went there to view the solar eclispe on April 8th. The area we were viewing from was ideal. Nice not crowded.

I really enjoyed this park. The time of day that I went was very peaceful and quiet. There were a few people out walking, riding bikes, skateboarding, fishing, having picnics, and playing with their children at the park. If you're looking for a peaceful experience I highly recommend going early in the day before it gets too crowded.

Amazing atmosphere. By da water. Great place to ground and find self. Ana Park is 1 of DCs hidden gems. As residents work faithfully to keep it up I am grateful to be able to reap from their hard work. Hoping to 1 day assist in the Beautification process of Ana park.

Very pretty. Watched boats and rowers on the river.

My childhood park. Absolutely beautiful and getting better by the day. From family fun at the skating rink, to fishing by the water. Everything is there. A hop,skip, and a jump from Audi field. Dog Friendly. Must be leashed.

Let me count the ways I LOVE Anacostia Park:

1) It's one of the best running trails in all of DC. It stretches for miles along the Anacostia River and the path is well kept for runners.

2) There's a lot of green space to picnic and enjoy nature.

3) There are hidden gems throughout from murals under highways and even a famous skating ring.

4) It's great for kids. One of DC's best playgrounds complete with a pirate ship is in the park.

I could go on and on so instead how about you head on over to Anacostia Park and check it out for yourself. It's a GREAT spot!

Great trail to walk or bike. Has nice stopping points so one can overlook the river. We even saw a helicopter land nearby!

Anacostia Park is a serene riverside park with scenic trails perfect for walking and jogging. The roller-skating rink, playground, and picnic sites make it a fantastic family destination.

I went to check out the water 🌊 since clean water initiative support funding was pass to restore anacostia river in Northeast , Southeast , Northwest . The clean water Act is a federal congressional bill pass to restore water ways around military stations with access to rivers.. From my visit to the anacostia park southeast navy yard location , The river water 💦🌊 looks to be much more cleaner to me from my last visit & The river has no visible debris, plastics or dead fish floating around in the evening tide along the river base.

I gave the park a 5 🌟 star because it's a place were you can go to and really enjoyed the water on the water side, let you kids play, and meet up with the family for a great time....

I have Always loved being near the water. Its very peaceful .people walking,running,riding bikes,kids playing at the playground. so many things to do while looking at the river just a little bit of nature...

I love Anacostia Park because it's a walking distance from my neighborhood to walk for miles without interruptions. It's a great place to walk and to jog while watching beautiful sceneries...species of variety birds flying, boats cruising, Rowers rowing, athletics of basketball, football, soccer, fishing, rollerblading and families celebrating.

It's all about the river, the rest of the park could use a major renovation. The should be a venue for live outdoor entertainment,and a restaurant on the water.

This unassuming park along the Anacostia River is one of my favorites. I love the walk/run/bike trail, the outdoor skating, basketball court, open fields, lots of fun, recreation and relaxation.

I always love visiting this park for a quick walk or to just get away and relax. They have a skating park, playground for the kids and plenty of cookout shelters and open space to set up your tents and grills. Always a vibe!
