I had an issue with booking my room where I was totally at fault, but the hotel staff were so kind and accommodating the whole time. The hotel was so lovely and they brought my bags up to my room. The bath and the room itself were all clean and better than expected. They even came around before bed and gave us more Evian water and chocolates. The only thing that would've made it the best hotel ever were comfier pillows! 😂

We had a fantastic stay at the Waldorf Astoria DC. The service was excellent across the board. We had a nice meal, the restaurants had great food and atmosphere but were busy so I recommend making reservations in advance of your stay. We received a one category room upgrade, a late check-out, and our food and beverage credit was automatically applied to our dinner. We also each received a glass of champagne while we waited for our room to be ready, which was a great way to enjoy the lobby and start our stay.

Amazing hotel with world class service. Breakfast was amazing and I was upgraded to a deluxe room as a diamond member. I was able to check in early and late as well.

Location is great too as it's walking distance to the Smithsonian museums as well as the Lincoln Memorial and Washington monument.

Only minor complaint would be that the carpet in the room had stains and some of the caps for the toiletries were broken.

Overall an amazing stay and experience

Came for Afternoon Tea. The service was very nice. The hotel is very beautiful. We came for Afternoon Tea and was not disappointed. The savory flavors were delicious. However, they were bite-sized, unlike a few places I have been, the sandwiches were full portions. The sweets were very good, and the Whisky Punch was the best I have ever had.

I spent the past President's Day weekend here at the Waldorf Astoria and I must say it was one of best and most beautiful hotels that I had ever stayed in! The service was top notch, the staff was very courteous and helpful! A wonderful way to visit Washington D.C. for the first time! I will be back!

Came in to the lobby bar to meet some friends for a going away party. Juscarl our bartender was great! Also, hats off to Zack the manager who checked in on us a few times to offer his congratulations and make sure we were having a fantastic experience.

Valentines Day dinner! It was amazing. We decided to try something different. I ordered: cheese steak, Mediterranean waygu steak, and the boneless wings he ordered oxtails, also the Mediterranean waygu steak and Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. Small portions, enough for two, but it's filling. The cheese steak came as a small pastry filled with creamy cheese with three medallion size steaks on top. You break the small boat size pastry, and it fills your plate with the cheese and steak. The oxtail is served in six and looks like small mozzarella sticks. We tried this with an open mind and, to our surprise, AMAZING! The Brussel sprouts were different. They were ok. The wings came in five and are boneless. Blue cheese is just a hint on top of the wings. It's not too heavy..just right. Lovely to the taste. Now, the Mediterranean waygu steak wasn't for us. If you like medium rare, this would be for you. They replaced this with another steak that was, I'm sure, just as great as the waygu. I would definitely come back here again. It's a bit pricey but worth the experience. Thanks hubby.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the DC Waldorf Astoria (formerly a Trump property). The hotel is beautiful and from the moment you step in the lobby it feels like luxury with the cherry blossom trees and high ceilings. The rooms are gorgeous with every small touch you’d expect from a high end luxury hotel. High quality toiletries, in case you’ve forgotten anything, . The service is excellent from check in, room service and just anything could need. The room service menu was great, we had two of their burgers before leaving for our event that evening and it was top tier with bacon jam and just delicious.
The next biggest takeaway was that bed! Soft sheets and the fluffiest dreamlike bed, literally the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in!

The Old Post Office has never looked so good! The lobby bar is spectacular. Be sure to eat in Jose Andreas's Bazaar!

We stayed at the Waldorf for our anniversary. While we were here we enjoyed a prenatal massage at the incredible spa, afternoon tea in peacock alley, and a late night snack from room service.

The location is perfect for exploring the national mall, and enjoying the many gourmet restaurants of Penn Quarter.

The staff was extremely attentive! When our room wasn't ready at check in Roman went above and beyond to find us a new room (a grand king) and make us comfortable while we waited. When we enjoyed breakfast and afternoon tea in peacock alley Ken checked in on us often, bringing us champagne, and just saying hello when we passed through. Even the bell hops were efficient, friendly, and attentive.

Our room was very comfortable and in perfect condition. There was plenty of storage in the oversized dresser, nightstands, and writing desk, and the room was spacious—much more space than my last room at the Riggs.

You also have a museum right in the building with incredible views from the old clocktower!

We chose to stay at this location while visiting family in Washington DC. We used our free room reward. What a treat! The staff was welcoming and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The shower was big enough for two people. Rooms were quiet. We enjoyed breakfast, using our credit, and dinner at The Bazaar by Jose Andres. Everything was wonderful and delicious.

The property is gorgeous. It is the Old Post Office, a historical building. You can still see the mail cutes in some areas of the building.
The location is excellent, it is across the street from the Federal Triangle metro stop, so you could metro from DCA or IAD airports. Also it is "walking" distance from many of the "main" places in DC for sight seeing, It is near the mall. For those that doesn't walk much, some place might be a bit of a "long" walk, but still many attractions are still nearby. The Old Post Office Tower is literally part of the building, but the entrance in outside, on the back of the building. It has great view of DC.
The service is impeccable, professional, helpful and friendly. During check in bottle of water was offered (it was a hot day), friendly smile, asked how was my day, etc... Arrived before my check in time, so the room was ready. They suggested I wait in the peacock alley (which is beautiful), but me an my wife had plans to go sight seeing. So I asked them to hold on to our luggage and took off.
The rooms are very, clean, nice and opulent. I really enjoyed the Aesop products in the bathroom. Also, the bathtub was bigger type, so I enjoyed a nice bath after sightseeing.
Although I was upgrade due to status initially, I don't think I was upgraded. After the upgrade I was initially on a room on 8th floor, and then I got re-assigned to a room 2 or 3rd floor. But honestly I don't know what room is what, and the room we has was comfortable and nice, so no complaints even if we weren't upgraded.
It was a very nice stay. I would recommend this place.

Hotel was top notch. One of the best Hiltons you can stay at. Staff was amazing plus attentive. Bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed to date. Location was walking distance to all DC attractions. Any issues you have will be addressed quickly.

Excellent stay. Waldorf Astoria DC is perfect and a great location- 2min walk to Federal Triangle metro and 10min from Smithsonian museums and the Washington Monument. There's a small kiss and ride tucked around the building, and upon walking in, the metal beams overhead and open foyer give it a historical and grand look. Apparently used to have a glass floor for postal managers to look down on employees below. Per staff this used to be the Trump International one year ago, and a Hilton property since last June. Lucky for us, so we could use our free Hilton Amex night here! Free upgrade from King to a Premium King. They are generous with the Evian waters at check in and check out and in your room. There's turn down service in PM where they close your blinds and pull back the sheets and set out slippers- something I'd not experienced apart from cruise ships. We used our $25 food credit for pastries to go from Peacock Alley in the lobby, they were very good, 6 mini croissants (2 plain, 2 chocolate, and 2 apple).

The room was excellent and extremely clean- kudos to their diligent cleaning staff! Bed was comfortable and all check in staff very kind and welcoming. We ate at Sushi Nakazawa and The Bazaar and The Bazaar has the best atmosphere for evening dining but we enjoyed the Omakase menu best at Sushi Nakazawa.

No complaints at all and highly recommend! A few pictures including a lovely view of the Monument from our room in the evening.

My wife and I stayed at this WA over a weekend in June. I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond member and we have stayed at almost all of the Hilton brands except a Waldorf. From the moment we stepped out of the Uber at the steps of the front door, it was clear the service was going to be top notch here. Over the course of our stay, I can say there was not a single WA staff member that didn’t make us feel like we were their only customer. At check in, they thanked me for being a Diamond member and upgraded our room. Everything about this WA felt grand from the lobby to the room to the bathroom in the room, it was all what someone would expect from the top end of the Hilton.

We met some staff members that stood out from the rest as well. Wossen served us breakfast at Peacock Alley and he was great, nice guy. We used our daily food credit that Diamond members receive towards the breakfast. We also met Auggie and Tek at the lobby bar which I think is also part of Peacock Alley. Had some great conversations with those two and when we were about to get up and leave Tek offered to pick up another round of drinks for us. That has never happened anywhere, we did not take him up on it only because we were about to fly, what a hospitable guy! We also had a great light dinner at The Bazaar in the lobby, it was excellent and I reviewed that separately.

I only have one complaint about this WA and it’s not a big deal but I’m going to mention it. There is no face soap in the bathroom which I found strange. Almost all the lower end Hilton properties like The Hampton and Homewood Suites have face soap in the bathrooms. When coming to a Waldorf, I expected even a higher end face soap would be available but no face soap was available.

We had a really nice and memorable experience at this Waldorf Astoria and it ranks as one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. I’m hoping we can visit some different Waldorf Astoria’s in the future.

I forgot to mention, the lady who was playing the harp in the lobby on Saturday morning had my full attention, it was so relaxing. Then all of a sudden, she played Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and it sounded so awesome, I couldn’t believe it.

very spacious room, high ceiling.
even the infant crib was the largest i've ever seen from a hotel.
they were the only hotel or offer a diaper pail (without request)

exceptional service.

one unfortunate inconvenience:
got unrecognized charge posted to my credit card after checkout, called to remove, but should not had to waste the time
