I recently stayed at the Thompson and don't have one bad thing to say.The hotel is located in the Navy Yard right near the riverfront and the Baseball stadium. The The staff (Jennifer, Blue and Zeke) were incredible. They answered all our questions, gave great recommendations and were overall amazing! The rooms were spacious and very clean. I didn't hear people going and coming from their rooms, which was nice. The food and drinks were really great. Get the Thompson burger, you won't regret it.

The Thompson was the perfect place to stay during our wedding weekend. We were able to use the Eight Bells Boardroom for hair and makeup, and the sales team was super accommodating to our needs. We were also unexpectedly treated to champagne and desserts in our room the night of our wedding, which was such a lovely touch that we really appreciated. Our families also enjoyed their stay, the excellent cocktails at the rooftop bar, and the convenient location. Overall, we're so glad we chose to stay here for a very special weekend.

Hotel looks incredible both inside and out. Exceptional service and friendly employees. The views from the rooftop bar are worth the visit! It’s an easy walk from the ballpark and all the nightlife around Navy Yard. The only drawback I can think of is that they seem to be utilizing “negative pressure” in the rooms so you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway, but I didn’t hear anything from the surrounding rooms. The gym is adequate, it’s nothing special but enough for a quick workout. This is definitely geared for solo travelers or couples, but if you’re in the area for a Nats game, I’m sure kids would like being outside on the rooftop while parents have a quick drink!

We really enjoyed our stay here and would book another night here when we’re back in town. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to help us locate a lost item. Our room was very clean. The check-in and check out process was a breeze.

This hotel is clean, stylish, and well-maintained. I stayed in a corner room with nice city views, but it didn’t have a desk, which was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast downstairs is pretty good. There’s a nice boardwalk trail nearby, but the location isn’t very convenient if you want to visit the National Mall.

WOW describes my 24-hour experience at this gorgeous, divine smelling, CLEAN and cozy boutique hotel!!! From the moment I walked in, the people, customer service, ambience, cleanliness—everyone and everything was top-notch! The warm greetings and smiles immediately made me feel welcomed and my room was perfectly decorated and situated with stunning views of the river and most importantly, it was comfortable and immaculate!!! Lionel, Efram and Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of and my expectations were exceeded!!! The Thompson Washington D.C. is now my preferred hotel when visiting the area and I’ll search for them wherever I travel. I highly recommend adding it to your list if you haven’t already!!!

We stayed at The Thompson for our wedding last month. This hotel is one of a kind. The rooms are beautiful, cleaning is remarkable. We loved staying here. The one fatal flaw of The Thompson is their concierge staff and booking department. One day before we were supposed to check in, they called me to notify we no longer would have the Thompson Suite I booked with them more than a year ago. It took hours to get the situation fixed and almost left a massive hole in our wedding weekend. Be cautious when booking Thompson as you’ll never quite have certainty for where you’re staying until you actually arrive.

The hotel dinner is so good, staff is nice, there was live music, the rooms were amazing and so clean. Always having fresh towels and sheets. The hotel is dog friendly for no extra charge. There is a dog park right behind the hotel and a nice boardwalk. It is right next to the metro and is walking distance from lots of things like grocery store and restaurants. I love it

Best complimentary chocolate chip cookies ever! One of my favorite parts of staying here.

Staff is always on point to make you feel like your stay is uniquely important. Safe secure location. Quick to help and assist. Makes you feel like the only individual at the hotel! Very quick moving luggage and valet.

Excellent customer service. Quiet area and facility is clean. Every worker I encountered was extremely pleasant and courteous. Loved the modern rooms. It was a little bit pricey than I expected but it opened me up to looking into their other locations.

I stayed at the Thompson this time last year and again this year. This hotel does not disappoint! The staff are super accommodating and helpful (especially with my late checkout - Thank you Michael!) as well as the location being ideal for exploring the city.

I will be returning the next time I visit to Washington DC.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Thompson Hotel on Tingey Street, Washington D.C. From the time we drove up until the time we left three days later, we had an absolutely wondrrful experience. Every single staff member we met was incredibly kind and professional. Del, Caleb, and Stephanie were especially accommodating. I know I'm forgetting someone and I apologize. Every single person we met was awesome. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely book again. Thank you!

This was my first time staying at a Hyatt owned property (I prefer Marriott) and I have to say I was impressed. The hotel has a very modern feel/look, the location is conveniently located in the heart of the Navy Yard... walkable to the Nats stadium, many restaurants, District Winery, museums, Capitol Hill and many other attractions. Check in was painless, my room was ready by noon and I even got upgraded to a balcony suite! I found the room to be very comfortable, spacious and the in room amenities were standard. I wasn't a fan of the toiletries because of the strong masculine scent, so I was glad that I brought my own. They have a gym in the basement with a variety of cardio machines (treadmill, peloton bike, elliptical), free weights and a pulley weight system. The Surveyor is attached to the hotel, which is a classic american restaurant, but they are only open for breakfast. I found it to be odd that they don't open for lunch or dinner, but you can order from their menu at the lobby bar starting at 3pm and at the rooftop bar starting at 5pm, which was very good. The entire hotel staff (from the bartender to the receptionist) was friendly, helpful and just very welcoming the entire stay. It's hard to find good customer service anywhere these days, and I found it everyday here at the Thompson. Excellent stay and would recommend staying here if you find yourself in DC!

We stayed at the Thompson Navy Yard for three nights, had a courtesy room block for our guests and held a cocktail party in the Private Bar on the rooftop with access to the outside deck. We worked closely with Joel Woods & Obaida Mohammed who were very attentive and responsive to my many questions and requests. Hotel rooms were very nice and staff during our staff and event were all very nice and helpful. The rooftop space was perfect for the cocktail party we held complete with lovely couches both indoor and outdoor as well as round banquet tables and bar top tables. Our guests enjoyed in particular the slider bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, carrot cake bites, open bar and the late night pizza Ezekiel provided. The hotel is within walking distance to great restaurants & Nationals Park. Having valet and restaurant & bar within the hotel was a real plus for our guests.

The service and amenities are excellent at the Thompson. Had the best time during my stay, was treated like royalty. The management must be commended for grooming the Hyatt staff, congratulations.

We had a great experience here. The rooms are clean and quiet. It is located right by the subway. The front staff --especially Jennifer, were friendly and very helpful.
