Char-Hut | Davie, FL

First time here. Staff was very friendly! My medium rare cheese burger was DELICIOUS! The only downside is that they have pepsi products and not coke products.

Char-Hut is a small chain of fast service restaurants owned by the Cammisa family who founded Char Hut in 1976. The family started the business over 40 years ago when they opened their first restaurant in Miami after moving to Florida from Buffalo. The family closed the Miami restaurant in favor of moving to southwest Broward. They specialize in hamburgers and chicken. Unlike other fast food places you can tell them how well you want your burger meat cooked and you can customize it with different toppings. The food is cooked to order.

This place is an institution and you can't hang around this long in the South Florida restaurant scene unless you offer quality food. I have eaten at Char-Hut many times through the years and if you go inside you come out smelling like the grill. It is a breeze to order from the drive though and that is what I usually do.

This was my first time visiting the Davie location which opened way back in 2003. You can find the restaurant along the side of State Rd. 84. I ordered the Char-Burger with cheese, which is the original 1/3 lb steak burger and I added a side of fries and a soda. The service was super friendly here and the food was great which I always expect from Char-Hut. It definitely satisfied my cheeseburger craving. I love that this is the kind of place where you don't have to beg for ketchup. They cheerfully offer it without you even having to ask. Count me among the Char-Hut fans.

Char Hut has been a regular for me for 30 years since I was a baby. This location is great. Sure the a place could use some updates but honestly that’s part of the experience and vibe. I go there for great food- not a high end dining experience. You want the best burger or chicken sandwich in South Florida? Go to char hut.

I liked dining at the Char-Hut! Outside, as pictured below has a neat clean look to it! Inside is just like a normal fast food joint but very clean, spacious and easy to move around in! Service was good, quick and not only took my order quickly but made it quickly to! The food, as pictured below was very good! The chicken tenders were nice and crispy, the fries were nice and plentiful and the burger was grade A good and well done to my liking, toppings and all! Give the Char Hut a try, it's a really good fast food joint worth the expense!

Char-Hut is always a great choice for grilled chicken or a great burger.
I’ve been gone there for years the service and food are great and the is always fresh.

Char-Hut has been a favorite burger spot since I was a kid. The burgers are always grilled fresh to order and the toppings are delicious. My favorite part of the meal is the super crisp and thin onion rings. This is not a quick stop burger place. Make sure you can have a seat and enjoy your meal. The prices for a burger and side combo is about the same as a sit down restaurant, and you get a fully customized and fresh burger and side. I recommend visiting to see if it becomes a go to burger spot for you.

I eat here all the time but wanted to leave a review for this time specifically. The lovely young lady by the name of Damara (not sure if I’m spelling it correct) not only did she get a treat for my dog at the window but she was so pleasant and just went above and beyond what I expected. Keep it up char hut !!!

The original location is gone but the food is still the same awesome taste I remember

Best burgers in South Florida. Grilled in front of you with fresh toppings. Try the onion rings or sweet potato fries with marshmallow dip.

Visited this place with no expectation and they were not disappointing. Prices were reasonable and food was delicious. Char Grilled chicken along with sweet potatoes were amazing.

Before you enter the smell hits you!! Amazing smell very quite but also very nice place, second visit and everything was great this time very happy everything came out way better then before very good burger 🍔.

I had the cowboy burger. I was very happy. It was cooked exactly how I like it. You choose your bun, condiments and fixings. I had one good burger here

My friend took me here for dinner. Nice place to grab some burgers. The burgers were delicious. A little bit dry though. Other than that, I enjoyed them and would definitely eat here again.

This is my go to when I want the best Chicken on the Grill.
I have it with Pita and yeah add cheese.
It is so fresh and tastes soooo good. My buddy I go with all the time swears by the hamburger they call the BIG BITE ..

Excellent everything! Better than the one in Pembroke pines. Love everything about it. Everything cooked in front of you the way you like it.
