What a buzz we got at this sweet store full of honey! We loved the variety of honey and mead and the live bee hive on display! It was fun tasting the different honeys and meads that are available fir sale. Very unique experience and very educational as well.

Unexpectedly luxurious. They had tastings of amazing mead and honeys. Surely you'd find a gift for someone here.

The guys running the place were also intelligent in their craft.

This places was pretty cool. They have lots of honey related items including a hive in the shop. No worries it is safe! You can do a mead or beer flight along with a honey flight. Lots of treats and gifts.

Stopped in for lunch today. Reuben and BBQ sandwiches were nicely portioned and very tasty! Excellent assortment of homemade honeys and beeswax candles. An assortment of bulk vinegars and olive oils were also available. I look forward to visiting again when we are in the area. There is also a live beehive on display and they sell beekeeping gear next door.

I stop there to have taste Meade for the first and It was quite different. The guy who was working was a great host and educator. Very chill atmosphere and a great place to learn about the various fine products that they offer

Passed this place so many times on the way to 151 and finally stopped for some food and beer. Glad we did. Handmade gifts, olive oil & vinegar (fill your own), honey, candles, soap, beer, mead, wine, and food! Bring your family. Live bee hive in the wall!! Beers on tap, get a sampler, order food, and enjoy.

Our favorite place of the day! The beer and mead were delicious and the service was amazing! I highly recommend stopping here.

Must stop! Great products that are local or carefully curated. The guys that work there are so knowledgeable. We stopped in on a weekday and had the chance to learn all about bees, their habitats and how they make their products. We enjoyed sampling the meads and honeys and left with great things to try at home.

A really great place to visit on your way to or from Wintergreen. The products range from Mead (and wow, do they have good mead! Be sure to try them out!) to an eating and yummy array of honeys to cheeses and homemade soaps and snacks, including fudge. Be sure to ask them about the bee-making process. This place rocks!!! (It's also caddy corner from a terrific apple orchard). Overall, a good location and a terrific stopover while in that area!!! I give this one a full 5 stars!!!

Great meadery! We tried their flights of liquid honey, cream honey, and meads. Everything tasted amazing especially the cinnamon and hibiscus creamed honey. Very reasonably priced also.

Rethink mead, this place makes some amazing stuff. Really delicious. Got some tastings and ended up getting a few bottles to go. Nice and knowledgeable staff. They have a lot of bee products as well. They have food but I haven't tried that.

Have been wanting to stop at Mt. House Trading Company for months! We started with a Signature Mead Flight with six different flavors: Eden, Cerise, Chronos, Revelations, Legends and Ginger. All delicious, with the Ginger being a true standout!
The Pesto Turkey Panini was crisp and very tasty. A must try! Purchased some Rosemary Olive oil to take home. Great visit, will for sure be back!!

Absolutely love this place!! There are so many different flavors of natural honey, in addition to natural soaps and essential oils. The owner was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions about the products. Highly recommend!!!

Stopped by on a whim. We saw it on the way to our destination and saw they had mead, which we had never tried before. On our way back, we stopped by. We weren't sure if they were open yet since it was a little bit before the listed hours, but we figured we would try and we were glad we did! So many different types of honeys (liquid and spreadable; local and Hawaiian), different flavors of maple syrup and olive oils too! There were also some candles and soaps, I believe. And of course some local beers and mead! My husband got a flight of mead to taste ($8 for four) and I tried some as well. Really good! I'm not always a huge fan of alcoholic drinks, but I liked the mead! We also left with some local honey (raspberry) and a small honey comb, which we just tried and enjoyed! People there were very nice and knowledgeable. And I thought the live bee hive (behind glass) was really cool! Will definitely come back!

Really glad we came across this place! It’s definitely a gem and was a highlight of our weekend. We had a great time sampling their products, including mead and creamed honey. Both are absolutely delicious! I’ve tried a fair number of meads in the past but these were the best I’ve tried, especially the raspberry chocolate one, delicious. The gentlemen in the shop helping us were very friendly and helpful.

We visited on a recent trip and it was amazing. The products make great gifts and the mead was so good. Strawberry mead was delicious. Staff were super nice. Make sure to try the PBJ mead when it's ready. Can't wait to visit again in the spring.

Who knew honey could be so complex, and yet so wonderful! The dudes here are extremely knowledgeable and the selection of honey mead is phenomenal. If you don't drink, or need to keep the consumption down, they have honey products galore. Honey butters, pure honey, different types of honey, and everything in-between that involves honey.

By the way, honey is extremely healthy for you with powerful health benefits. Local honey is great for combatting seasonal allergies and the sugar is as natural as you can get. It's really hard to go wrong with honey and this place excels at providing honey. I don't know what else to say other than check it out, you'll be amazed at what you can walk away with and any children that show a fascination with bees will also be thrilled.

My wife and I stopped by on our way home from the Wintergreen resort and I am so happy that I made that U-turn to stop by. I was skeptical because I had no clue what to expect and I honestly just though honey was honey. The guys working there were extremely helpful and gave some very solid recommendations to try. We ended up going with I believe it was a 6 pepper honey, and it's spicy but it is so good. I also tried the smaller mead flight that they had. I went to a winery on the top of a hill and tried their mead and was not impressed. I had always wanted to try mead, and I was disappointed with my first experience. My wife convinced me to try again and the mead here was fantastic. Much to my surprise the raspberry mead was so incredibly good that I bought the biggest growler they had, and I will absolutely be back for more. The guys working there deserve a raise!
