We love Dr. Schmidt! He sees my infant son and he is extremely kind and gentle and attentive.

Lissette Kinsella is the NP you've dreamed of since you first started going for physicals and check ups. Her bedside manner is that of your own healthcare cheerleader, which is only surpassed by her excellent healthcare knowledge. I heistate to give her such glowing reviews since I selfishly wish to keep her all to myself, but I have to share this gem of a NP with all of the google review readers. Thank Lissette for making a dismal experience so much brighter and for my birthday song. Your awesome!!!

The staff was friendly and communicated information clearly (multiple verifications of information occurred, which is good—in my opinion—when it comes to medical information).

The doctor I saw was personable and had a listening ear. The information they shared concerning my medications and physical state was easily understood and made me feel like I had involvement in the process.

The amount of time the appointment required seemed unreasonable. Sentara asks patients to be 15 minutes early for their appointments: I was not early for this appointment, so I do not know how much that factors into my being seen by the doctor 45 minutes after checking in. The time with the doctor may have been 5-10 minutes, and altogether, I was at the facility for an hour. I would think that my entire appointment would require half-an-hour, especially with the brief amount of time I had with the doctor.

Overall, my experience was good, but very average concerning the amount of time required. I will be returning, but I feel I have little choice in terms of convenience of location.

I’ve been going there for a few years. Had a wonderful NP until she left. They gave me Dr. Mix.... already the problem. He has terrible bedside manners, he talks to his patients like they don’t mean anything to me. Told me he didn’t believe I had depression and anxiety after I told him all I have been through. HES THE WORST DOCTOR EVER!!! Don’t go there to see him!!! Getting another doctor there.

Needs to have walk in clinic. No one plans on being sick and its very disheartening to know i have to drive an hour away to be seen. In addition, i have to be seen by a complete stranger opposed to someone who is familiar with myself and my medical history.

Lots of slip ups and confusion. I saw two doctors here and none of them knew anything about my condition.

Receptionist and the medical assistant were sweet. That's the only reason for any stars. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a physician or NP. I came in to establish care with NP Martina. I will never step one foot in that office again. I was talked down to and argued with about my medical history. I was told she didn't trust me about having a wellbutrin rx and that I would have to bring an empty bottle to prove it. I would understand if I was saying I has a previous rx for an addictive substance like Xanax or a narcotic.
I asked about unexplained weight gain and was told to stop eating chips. I was told that a thyroid medicine I didn't want to take because it wasn't effective for me was effective for everyone and she has never heard of it not working perfectly and that it works for her and she takes it. Although there are loads of people that it isn't effective for and there is evidence that the the symptoms I have had are clearly side effects the drug company says can happen.
I expressed concern about being perimenopausal and was completely ignored.
This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had in a doctors office in my life. I would encourage everyone to avoid NP Martina and this office if it is the common practice to mistreat clients this way.

I have been going here for years, even prior to it being Sentara. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Sentara took over and commercialized it. Now the same people who were friends, family, neighbors, etc. are nothing more than a number. The last 3 times I have called I have received the automated answering service that states you will be contacted before the end of the NEXT business day. Why bother? To say I'm upset is an understatement.

Couldn't even get past the rude receptionist. Told me my medical records were not there and she definitly didn't even look me up. Probably should think about firing that one, maybe even just clean house get some people in there that actually care.

Automated phone system is awful. Every option tries its best to get you to leave a message so a live person doesn't have to speak with you.
