Washington Plaza Hotel

Friendly, helpful, safe, and clean. For the price, it should be. But it really was excellent. The parking is so convenient to be able to access your car anytime you want something from it, and the security is on top of establishing access but in a friendly helpful way. The pool looks amazing. Carlos made sure our breakfast was amazing, and what a cheerful clean restaurant. The people at the front desk went out of their way to ensure we would be in the perfect room for us. The room was spacious and comfortable and gave us privacy even had 2 restrooms. The view of the pool and circle was bright and fun to watch the traffic. Scrupulously clean room. Comfortable couch. Nice lighting. Convenient location too, 10 minute walk or so to sightseeing around the white house or up to dupont circle. We walked at night and lots of people out walking their dogs, going to dinner, riding bikes, very fun area.

We stayed at the Washington Plaza Hotel for about 1 week for our vacation in DC and really enjoyed it! The hotel is in the perfect location for a tourist that wants to hit all of the sights of the city. A quick walk to several nearby bus stops or the McPherson Square Metro Station gets you anywhere you need to go quickly and affordably. The beds and finishes are comfortable and VERY clean! While the decor may feel dated, I have not been in a cleaner hotel in a long time. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful and worked to ensure you had a good stay. Housekeeping was on top of it with regular cleaning and stocking of your room. I felt the rates were fair for our experience and would definitely stay here again. If you're there in the summer, make sure to pack for the pool area! We didn't think to bring swimsuits and definitely felt like we were missing out.

I had a pleasant short stay here recently and I was very satisfied with the friendly staff and directions provided, my view was amazing on the 9th floor. There is a nice pool area, bar and there is underground parking garage for about 40-50 bucks a night that's easy to access as well.

They gave us a nice quiet, clean room with a view to Thomas Circle. Being able to open a window was positive. Staff was friendly and helpful but did give me a sideways look when I asked about taking the stairs. Otherwise, hotel restaurant was good, as was sitting by the pool. Good experience for us.

Very friendly staff, very clean it is not a brand new hotel but very well kept. The only thing is there are two fish bowl that didn't seen to have been cleaned in a while and I feel bad for the fish.
Overall the hotel is quiet, clean and excellent location.

I have to say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at!! The friendliness off the staff I got to witness was at the top of class. The hotel dining and bar was phenomenal! They made our joint birthday stay absolutely unforgettable. Balcony views in the beautiful room we were in was wonderful! I just hated it had to come to an end!

Very lovely hotel! We booked last minute due to being tired from driving more than 10 hours, and the staff was nothing short than kind, respectful and professional. From the moment I called to ask questions to leaving, Treasure and the team were amazing. Treasure made sure that we were taken care of the entire stay, especially since we were there to attend a funeral. Kellisha, the amazing Jamaican queen who worked in the International Lounge was amazing as well. She was knowledgeable, caring and the food was impeccable. I
now understand why this hotel has received amazing reviews. It is charming, quiet, comfortable, clean and upscale vintage. The overall quality was beyond extraordinary! I would highly recommend this hotel to any and everyone looking for a phenomenal place to stay in the D.C area. Thank you to everyone who assisted us while we were staying at your amazing hotel. All the reviews are definitely true, everything was exceptional.

First off, the service here is outstanding. Nehema, who checked me in and greeted me with the warmest smile every time I saw her, really made me feel at home.

If I was paying out of pocket for this hotel I'd probably rate it a little lower but it's fine. The rooms could use a refresh but I was comfortable. I would suggest microwaves in the room for sure. Plenty of outlets available for charging stuff.

What a WONDERFUL place!!! I felt like the staff were so kind and caring!!! Especially the staff Alemshet and David were so kind!!! Always greeting me with a smile!!! I don’t know where David gets his energy, but I LOVE it!!!! He speaks with all the guests personally, and is very involved in making sure everyone is happy from the minute you meet up with him!!! He is definitely an asset here!!! I highly recommend staying here if you come to Washington DC as well it is close to everything and a very safe environment!

Imagine a team, with that old player, not the best runner, not in the best of shape, but very hardworking, teamplayes, the first to arrive and the last to go. Do you have imagined?

Is this hotel, it's an old building, old rooms, but have big space, everything working and a extremely responsive and gentle staff.

The restaurant is that comfy home cooking, simply delicious.

Definitely it's a good value for your money whenever in DC

My boyfriend and I had a perfect stay here. The room was clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. The customer service was a 10/10 from the doorman to the ladies up front. Treasure, especially, made our stay great. I would absolutely stay again!

When we got here, we had a bit of an issue since we booked through a third party website; however, Treasure who worked upfront immediately helped us. She was kind, knowledgeable, and helped a girl out! Also, I initially booked a room with one bed (me and my daughter had to share), but it was too small. When we brought up the issue to the front desk, Treasure came to our rescue and managed to find us a room with a bigger bed. Thanks to Treasure’s help, we got a great nights sleep.

I went with my club in the summer around June of 2023. This review is a little late but I must say my stay there was amazing. The pool and pool area was clean, and so were the rooms. The hotel by itself was beautiful, but it was the staff that made it even better. One in particular stood out. He was a kind, short black man. He truly made our stay. He gave us advice to go home with and was a warm face to see. I wish I knew his name but I wanted to say thank you for your kind words of inspiration and your help throughout the stay.

Great historic hotel in good location along 14th St. Easy access off Thomas Circle for checking in. On-site parking is $50/night. Once parked, there is no need for a car. Attractions are within walking distance. I'd stay at Washington Plaza Hotel again.

Love the location. Poolside is amazing. Ribeye with potatoes au gratin is wonderful. Service was always quick and friendly. The poolside bar never disappointed.

Pricey but well worth it. Amazing bed and service.

Our tv didnt work, no idea why at the time, but Operations Manager Michael came up personally and quickly to troubleshoot and quickly fix it.

This place takes pride in itself and service and it shows. I will book back here again- no doubt.

Stayed a couple days for several event on the Hill and the hotel staff was both kind and professional. The location was very walkable to Chinatown, the American Art Museum and so many restaurants. Enjoyed the area and hotel.

Great people Great Service Delicious dining with very good prices. The Club Sandwich was incredible etc. Good location so very easy to walk to a lot of great places from here.

Exceptional service and staff members there. I didn't get the names but we were welcomed by a staff at the front desk name starts with A and the manager at the breakfast restaurant he was really nice and welcoming. Also gave me many tips on the zoo since we were going there. all the other staffs were really kind and helpful. I know it's not a 5 stars hotel but the service was 5 stars for sure. Highly recommend this hotel!
