During my recent visit, I couldn't resist indulging in their sushi, and it was nothing short of amazing. Each piece was fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. Some of the best breakfast you can get around the capitol! Their breakfast eggs are extremely good and definitely worth the price. The breakfast egg cheese and meat sandwich ranges around $7 and with a drink is just slightly above $10 however it is all worth it. The building itself is very clean and well maintained. It seems like it gets packed in waves, but the team is great at managing and getting everyone their orders. Everything is made in front of you and you can genuinely see the care that gets put into the food. If you are staying near the capitol this a must breakfast location!

Mannnnnn I tell you I'm glad I had a delivery here. I seen someone else request the breakfast burrito. I said y'all trying make people go back to slp with that burrito. I had to get 1 and I tell you AMAAAAZING AND FRESH. I'm going to slp after this burrito.

Hustle and bustle of DC Federal Government Employees at lunch time. First time, that line was long and very intimidating. Sushi was phenomenal!!! Even the grab and go. I enjoyed how the staff paid attention to 1 customer at a time. Makes for perfect orders. They have a system, it works! I'd enjoy a more speedy checkout option, as well as a proper que for checking out. 2 days in a row, cut in like by at least 2 or 3 people. No consideration for others. That's not the restaurants fault, bit, it definitely made for a less that perfect experience.

We ate here twice on recent visit to DC. We had the chicken burritos and quesadillas. They were quite delicious. The chicken was moist and tasty and all the ingredients fresh and flavorful. It felt healthy too. This is a good spot.

Tasty, quick, and affordable, what more could you want from a sandwich in DC! I got the chicken & pesto on sourdough and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch!

Love eating at this establishment whenever I visit Washington DC.

Sushi is fresh, prices are fair

Yes Yes Yes, this was surprise find. We had some time to kill and wanted to grab lunch some where close to the Library of Congress while we waited for our tour. This place check every box. Great Food, Service and Clean. I had a grinder sandwich, my son had Chicken Pesto, and daughter had turkey we all agreed the food was GREAT!

The concierge at our hotel recommended Sandwiches by Phillip for a place to grab lunch, and we are glad he did! Their food is delicious and reasonably-priced, and the fact it’s all made fresh to order means there is something for everyone! We only wish Sandwiches by Phillip was also open on the weekends so we could get one more meal in before we left DC!

The turkey breast sandwich was great. Tender, well cooked, and the bread was phenomenal. Cookies and brownies 10/10.

I do agree with the other posts that the service does come across as “rushed” (not rude) but probably because they get busy quick.

You’re not going to get a better bang for your buck than Sandwiches by Phillip. Quality ingredients, great prices, quick and friendly service, and a wide variety of choices. This is my go-to lunch spot!
