Vivace Italian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

Vivace was fantastic. The food was wonderful, atmosphere was superb - there was a saxophone player - on a weeknight no less, and the service was spot on! I had the pork shank special - braised pork shank on risotto - I died and went to food heaven. Everyone else in our party was extremely pleased with their dinner as well. My partner in crime had fennel sausage, mushrooms, in a sherry cream sauce over a large tube pasta - excellent. The bolognese and the Scottish Salmon were really well done. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays so our server had the saxophone player come play happy birthday while he served crème brûlée to the birthday boy and girl - how nice. We met the chef - Vito - who is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America - so he knows his way around the kitchen and is of Italian descent and worked in Italy (I think he still has family in Italy) so he knows good Italian food as well. OMG, because why are they SOOO GOOD. Literally, everything on the menu is amazing. Let's start with the ambiance. Before you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with a flood of greenery in an herb garden. Once inside, you have clean, comfortable seating and ambient light at each table. Now to the menu. Some of my favs are the Lobster Crab cakes. They have a unique arrangement of spices with a very unique coconut sauce. The bang bang shrimp and calamari are some of the best you will ever have. I'm conflicted between the bread and the garlic rolls as they are both amazing. All of the pasta dishes are perfectly cooked , not soggy, not hard, with an array of different , very flavorable sauces. The seafood is ridiculous. The fish has a nice crust on the outside but is super flaky and soft on the inside. And don't let me even start on the pizza. The dough on the regular pizza is amazing, but if you really want to treat, try their cauliflower pizza. They have a large assortment of amazing cocktails and martinis , along with perfectly baked desserts. From the service to the pricing to the clean environment, 5 stars all around. Hats off to the 👨‍🍳 he really has made a stellar menu. Highly recommend for Italian and Seafood dishes!!

This is my go to spot every week. For a bite, for a meal and for a date night. The vibe is simply great, everyone is very attentive. The new decor is wonderful and the food is so delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem!

Very nice Italian restaurant in Plantation, FL. I visited for the first time to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday night. Nice setting with a live Saxophonist. Everything we tried was delicious and our waitress was very attentive. Recommendations: Fried Mozzarella, Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio, Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Alfredo (Superb). Drinks: Antigal Uno Malbec (my personal fav) & Lychee Martini. Kids menu available with many pages of activities for kids. Ended the night with a Happy Birthday song and THE BEST tiramisu I ever had. It was off the charts good. I will definitely revisit.

Well, there’s no options for me to leave 6 stars so I’ll start here, this is what you’re in for: a warm welcome when you get there, a friendly atmosphere, and delicious, authentic Italian food at your table. The owners will likely visit to check and make sure everything is to your liking. They visited us and I saw them visit all tables surrounding us. They genuinely care which is rare to see in today’s restaurant industry. I’ve been here several times and whether at the bar or at a table, whether NY style pizza or homemade pasta dish; there’s really no going wrong. If you have the time and have never been, I highly recommend!

Adding to this review: So glad to see this place being renovated in such an elegant way. We definitely enjoyed the bar. Live piano music, nice lights and sound. And the food of course was delicious. Adding some new pictures.

First review: Delicious food! The waitress was super nice and on point with everything we needed. From the appetizers, to the main dishes and dessert! That tiramisu was not only yummy it was cute! A little pot, I really liked that touch!

My husband took me to this place for my birthday dinner. This has to to be one of the BEST Italian restaurants I have been to in south Florida and the BEST in Broward county! We had the mozzarella triangles which was fresh and delicious in a bed of tomato sauce which was the winner of the whole meal for me. Best tomato sauce I’ve ever tasted! I ordered rigatoni bolognese for my entree and again the tomato sauce with the ground beef for me was another hit! This will now be my go to for Italian! 🔥🔥🔥

We experienced our first dining interlude at Vivace this past Saturday evening, and based on such positive first impression, we definitely plan to return soon. We had a party of 4 adults and 1 child. We had two appetizers, a bottle of fine Merlot and 4 adult servings and 1 child serving, and the overall cost pleasantly exceeded our expectations. My veal marsala was fabulous, and the meatball appetizer was incredible. My entire family all expressed a positive dining experience. The dining atmosphere and ambiance were so pleasant. Following the completion of our dinner, we transitioned over the restaurant bar lounge area and enjoyed a few adult libations while listening to the live entertainment, a saxophonist. Tommy, the bartender, provided superb service and, as a result, provided a very positive final impression as the night concluded. Tommy represented the Vivace brand exceptionally well. Tommy interfaced with the customers as if HE WAS THE OWNER! THANK YOU, Tommy!

I received the best surprise birthday dinner EVER! Thanks to my husband, my daughters and in my in-laws. The food was fulfilling and absolutely delicious!

We were looking for a potato pizza with rosemary and olive oil and owner kindly offered to make it for us, even it’s not on his menu. Talking about exceptional customer service … Wooowww … Potato pizza was absolute hit and disappeared in a minutes. 😄 👍

Hidden Italian gem. Party of 9, Saturday night. Good service, great music, amplified speakers a little too loud.

Started with Arancini, Caesar salad - very good.

NY strip was very good and perfect temp at medium rare, served with arugula salad and potato quarters. Potatoes were dry and powdery.

Sauteed mushrooms and the brussel sprout sides were very good.

Branzino was good, comes broiled, grilled would be better.

Veal was very good.

Seafood linguini was excellent.

Salmon was moist and perfectly cooked.

Strip steak was dry and chimichurri sauce was overpowering so could not taste steak at all.

Home made tiramisu is excellent.

Martinis were made right with blue cheese olives.

Service was efficient, quick and personable.

Very family oriented with the owner walking around checking on tables with her baby. Love that!

Great live jazz saxophonist lent a great ambiance.

Thank you, Vivace! Our experience from start to finish was molto bene!! Tommy was extremely kind and warm. Our server, Yaniv (apologies if that is incorrect), was accommodating and sweet as can be. He gave us some rolls to take home because we were OBSESSED. The picture below is eggplant parm and the presentation was beautiful, but the taste was even better. So much so, that I was unable to capture a picture before digging in. There was a saxophonist that serenaded us during our meal. I can’t speak highly enough about Vivace. We will be back. Hands down the best place for pizza in Plantation/ Sunrise. Awesome service, great bar, and awesome staff. The owners are super nice and very involved. If you go request Marrissa as your server. She’ll take care of you! I only wish they would wait to play the music later in the night or not have it so load during happy hour so I can hear my conversation at the table.

Love this place. Service was excellant and the food not only was presented lovely, but also delicious. Looking forward to having my daughter's graduation dinner here.

New to me, this 8 year old restaurant tucked away on Broward Blvd not too far from JAlexanders (opposite side of the road) is a gem. They just opened the new bar area. Very Miami Beach vibe with dark blue and green velvet decor. Cool romantic lighting. They have TRUFFLE pizza and polenta fries. Chef owner I’m told. Can’t go wrong there. Food excellent. They also offer angel hair (capellini) pasta which most Italian restaurants have gotten away from lately- I don’t know why. Bartender Tommy and the hostess staff were super friendly. Can’t wait to come back. I took food to go.

This is a hidden gem. I cannot believe I lived in Planation for 25 years and have never been here. The atmosphere is fantastic and they just expanded their lounge area. The food was really good and they have Gluten Free pasta and pizza options!

By far the best Italian restaurant in Broward county. I have been to many Italian food establishments and there is not one that compares to this place. Great staff, best chicken parm dinner, garlic knots taste like dessert and the music is always great. The bill at the end of a full dinner here is also incredible, I have paid much more at places that claim to be authentic Italian. Actually I think this is in my top 3, the other 2 are in North NJ. Nothing on this menu will disappoint. The desserts are great as well, but I never have enough room to order.

I dine here often. Most recently, I had the calamari appetizer (excellent, very fresh and light and came with some fried zucchini as well which was a nice touch) and the branzino entree (also delicious and very fresh) and a perfectly made martini. Our server was also very friendly and accommodating. Great experience all around.

Amazing experience for my wife and Is first time dining in. Ty and his team have set up an incredible atmosphere and ambiance for a fine dining experience. We went with the veggie pizza and shrimp pesto, both of which were delicious. Bella provided outstanding service throughout our time there. Must stop if in the Plantation area!

I’m a guy that grew up eating homemade sauce and meatballs every single Sunday and this place is great! Feels like a larger version of home with truly great food. The atmosphere is very enjoyable as well. Highly recommend.
