Jacaranda Lakes Park

Beautiful path along the water and place for kids

This park is fenced in with multiple areas of play that overlap. There’s a great view of a waterway and a walking path. The grounds are well maintained and there’s clean restrooms.

When our children visit this is the preferred park for our grandchildren. They don't mind walking over a mile to get there. It has fenced-in toddler-appropriate climbing toys and swings. Mounded terrain (which toddlers see as mountains) and gravel walking/running path alongside the canal. Restrooms. Off-street parking for cars. Half-court basketball. One tennis court. One pickleball court. Painted hopscotch and four-square areas. In spite of the name there aren't a lot of Jacaranda trees but there are lots of beautiful shade trees. On most days I ride my bike past this park several times and I've never seen it overcrowded, although it is well subscribed. Jacaranda Lakes is well maintained by the City of Plantation. Even though it is a neighborhood park I'm sure that there are people from outside the immediate neighborhood, like my grandchildren, who see it as a desired destination.

Great place to take small & big kids, teens and adults. Walking/jogging trail, swings, playground, tennis and basketball with restrooms. You can even take your canoe or kayak to the park. Everyone is usually friendly.

Really great park with playground for kids. Has a walking trail a pond, and a few picnic tables. Park and restrooms were also nice clean.

Love it! New courts and playground ( which is currently closed due to covid). Great little gravel walking trail

We've gone every day since lockdown. It was an absolute lifesaver for us to have a place to stretch our legs and play ball in the grass.

I'm sad the crappy old basketball hoop and court are nothing but parking spaces now, but this is a nice place to meander.
