Very happy with the staff and care they gave my dog. The exam and meds were higher than usual but it's after hours on the Weekend . My Sasha is much better now. Thanks

I have had to use PEC on a few occasions with my fur babies and I always knew they would be in good hands. Dr. Keiser and his team are very responsive in such emergency situations. I am beyond thankful this place was available when my normal vet was not.

Great job saving my puppy that was so sick with Parvo. Caring staff and prices were reasonable.

When you own a lab mix, it's bound to happen: She ate a toy. Completely gone in seconds. My vet and tech were very friendly over the phone as well as in person. They were as concerned about my dog as I am. They were able to induce her to vomit out the toy. The price was very reasonable for after hours care. I had called a closer, different ER vet clinic before finding this one. They wanted unnecessary X-rays before inducing my dog to vomit even though I know when and what she ate. That would a waste of time and money. This clinic was quick on their feet and efficient on what they do. That is how all emergency (animal and human) should operate. Will use again for future emergencies.

Decent pricing depending on what you're for.

My dog had been ill for a while when my mother and I began to tumble options. We wanted a place to euthanize her dog with us in the room with him. It sounds simple enough, right?

Well, I called nearly every place around me locally it until I gave up. They all either offered a $50-$200 dollar rate where you just drop your dog and wave goodbye. I wasn't down for an experience like that, but no matter how much I looked, I caved into the fact that I'll have to settle with my worst option.

My dog took a turn for the sudden worse at night time suddenly at around 7 pm (oh great, all the places closed!). Started to spasm, pant, the whole shebang.

I freaked out, went on google and thought I was going to have to search high and low for a 24 hour clinic, but it was right by my house. Awesome. Then I called to ask about he pricing and if I could be present for the procedure. They said yes and she quickly explained how he needed to have certain procedures and whatnot. I agreed to them all simple so I could have him within my eyesight.

The place was clean, the billing was decent (would have been $200 flat rate for a dog under 30, but I got the rate of $179 due to the fact that I wanted to do a more private send off) and the team was efficient. The doctor and his assistant were totally a loving team towards my pet and the assistant was understanding of my situation.

They made a very sorrowful moment much easier to deal with... although my wallet cried just as hard as I did.

We just got back from a visit to Pet Emergency Center after a small scare with our dog, Duke. Dr. Kiser and Nicole were both phenomenal. They both had a very calming presence and were sure to communicate with us about everything they were doing for our pup. Nicole listened to our concerns patiently as we panicked and gave more information than they probably needed. Dr. Kiser was efficient and kind as he explained his assessments and processes with us. Also, the adorable decor of very artsy pet paintings helped distract us from our panic. If we ever have another scare for our pet's health after our vet's hours we will definitely come back here. Thanks so much to the staff at Pet Emergency Center for the amazing service!

The woman who answered the phone was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! She spent time researching and doing the math on our three dogs weights to decide if the amount of chocolate they got into was harmful and determined that they'd be fine. The two emergency vets I called before that told me to come in immediately and it would be $100/dog for the office visits only and then more to induce vommitting, get fluids etc. Thank you so much for not causing us to spend all of our Christmas money on unnecessary things! You have no idea how much you've helped us with a simple phone call. You were wonderful and, even though we live in Pompano Beach, this will be our vet of choice if we ever need anything!

This was my second time needing this service. Once on Thanksgiving my gerbil was very ill and the staff was very understanding and treated her like her life mattered. Today I rushed my dog in because she got hit in the eye hard with a tennis ball. The vet ran appropriate tests and her assistant was courteous and knowledgeable. No complaints. I’m happy this after hours service exists.

Last night my dog Bella went into labor. What should have been exciting quickly turned into a nightmare when the first puppy got stuck in Bella's pelvis and required a csection. I talked to Dr Keiser first over the phone who was very calming and kind. To make a long story short my Bella's csection went well and one puppy made it out of two. I called several places for quotes and Pet Emergency was the most adorable by far. The office is small but very clean and efficient plus it smells phenomenonal. I don't like spending money and I know I was a pain in the butt but I would recommend this facility to anyone who has a pet emergency. After my experience last night I can tell being a vetrinarian is much more of a business then love for animals but if you have to pay someone I would go here and know your pet will be well taken care of for the best price

Last Saturday, my worst fear came true when I woke up to find my dog on the floor having serious issues and unable to stand up. Quickly, I looked up an Emergency Vet online and found the Pet Emergency Center in Tamarac. As luck would have it, we came to the right place. Dr. Kiser, Paige, and Stephanie greeted us at the door to help us carry our 60 pound dog inside. This was our first taste of how wonderful they were.

Dr. Kiser, Paige, and Stephanie were so caring and patient with us that night. They went above and beyond to help us with everything. They are amazing! I highly recommend!

They are the best in what they do truly caring and helpful. This is my first kitten and they walked me through it. When I brought Kingston in they made it easy to trust and to work with each other at getting my baby kitten back to good health. Paige is an amazing angel and she is very passionate and helpful at what she does truly an asset to the company. I recommend everyone to come here....

Called there around 11 pm. My 17 lb pup had ingested enough chocolate to kill her. The team here did everything possible to save her that night and I am forever grateful! They were extremely good at keeping us in the loop about what was going on as well as, we felt that we weren't being taken advantage of. Can't thank them enough!

I took my puppy to the pet emergency center last week due to the sudden onset of illness. He is a one-year-old border collie mix and was vomiting and had diarrhea with lots of blood in it. Although the hospital was busy, they were prompt, kind, and professional. They did his bloodwork onsite. They quickly, and seemingly accurately, determined that he had gastritis. He received shots, subcutaneous fluids, and I was provided with two prescription medications.

His symptoms went away quickly and, now that he is done with his medication, he is back to 100%. I'm very happy with the service we received. Emergency veterinary treatment was expensive, as expected, but I did not find it to be unreasonable and would definitely use this facility again.

I have used the Pet Emergency Center in Tamarac a few times in the past couple years. I've always had great service at a reasonable price (compared to other animal emergency centers I've visited). Not a super fancy place, but equipped to do everything I've ever needed from an after hours animal clinic (from cleaning up wounds from a cat fight to administering antibiotics and other first aid meds). I've been to this location on various nights and been helped by several different staff members. Everyone has been very pleasant, professional, and attentive to my pets needs. This is my first choice in emergency care.

By far the greatest, most loving, Doctor I've ever encountered!!! Dr. Seth is all about the care of the animal. My Dutchess was in labor and we discovered she couldn't push one of the puppies due to it being too big. Of course it had to be during Hurricane Irma. Even though we were unsuccessful in saving the pup, he saved my Dutchess!!! I am forever in his debt!!! I would recommend Dr. Seth to any one!!!

On March 9th at 8:40 p.m. I went into the pet emergency with my dog that had cancer and had a major seizure it was a hard day for me knowing that my dog was dying I couldn't let her suffer anymore they did such an outstanding job they were very understanding and took their time with me as I had to let my dog go. I was going to send a card but I figured writing this review to show the public what a great place this is thank you from Pamela Graham

With what happened to my cat and other Animals it is genuinely clear with the care provided, they are considerate and loving wanting the best for the patient no matter what species. The staff was understanding and very knowledgeable. I would recomend to anyone, just be prepared to pay upfront. No billing department. But if its an emergency its worth it.

Dr. Sheila Boughton DVM
Paige Obrig Practice Manager

In our community we had an orange tabby that visited often from a neighboring community. We named him Tom. Since he was a stray he was everyone’s cat. He was a welcome sight and was fed by the woman in the neighboring community She noticed he was starting to slow down and he eventually ended up in the doorway of one of our neighbors house a few days later during a rain storm. He was taken in and it was apparent he was extremely sick or hurt. Action needed to be taken and that meant finding a compassionate, yet affordable solution for him.
Another neighbor, Teresa, set out looking for an animal hospital that evening that could help and was disappointed in the manner some answers were given to our situation from a nearby hospital. She left there and a short way down the road she found the PET EMERGENCY CENTER. She was given the information she needed from Dr. Sheila Boughton with care and compassion for our predicament and concern for Tom’s suffering. At that moment, she knew the few hours Tom may have left would be in the best possible care.
Teresa came back to get Tom and another neighbor, Janet, went with her to the hospital. Once we got there we are greeted by Paige Obrig, the hospital manager. She was very professional and caring as well.
Once settled into the examination room Paige confirmed our fears. Tom was indeed in bad shape. He was panting and was having a very hard time breathing. We believe he may have been hit by a car . She was also so kind as to talk by phone to the neighbor who had taken Tom in during the storm as she was very upset . She was hoping Tom could be treated and brought home to her so he could live with her and have a home. Unfortunately that was not the case. Paige was so comforting and helped to calm her down.
Dr. Boughton came in and examined Tom and confirmed it was indeed time for Tom to be let go. As it turned out Tom was drowning in his own fluid and let us know we made the right decision by bringing him in. She was extremely compassionate and answered all of our questions and concerns. It was very sad when we had to say good by There were a lot of tears, hugs and an unspoken compassion for a little stray we named Tom.
The service was priceless and the fee was reasonable and we highly recommend the PET EMERGENCY CENTER for all after hours care for our pets. We give them an A+ in all aspects of care and compassion. And we thank them whole heartily.

My mere words are incompetent to describe my overall experiences with the PEC.
Everybody, from Paige, Lindsay, Drs. Kiser, Monk,Grant, Gardiner were just absolutely the most gentle, kind and patient with all my Rabbits. I have Eight.

In, fact, one of our Lagomorph family, Harvey, was in a very sensitive stasis situation and it appeared that Surgery was about the only option remaining, after having waited about as long as the Dr. wanted to wait; when suddenly, one more massage and "Critical Care" Feeding, and, "oila' " all went well, without Surgery! Yes! And since then, I won't permit ANYONE to look after our Rabbits but the staff at PEC.

They're truly like family-
