Places like this are the last of a dying breed. I was asked what I wanted to drink as soon as I walked in! The food was nourishing, the greens- some of the best I’ve ever had. The ladies here do a top notch job.

For some great down home southern cooking Rooster’s is a must. The fried chicken was very very good. The fried catfish was excellent with large pieces. The serving proportions were plenty. We were here visiting for 4 days and ate here twice. The service and personnel were friendly and helpful. Peach cobbler was yummy as well as the pound cake.

Rooster's Southern Corner in Villa Rica, Georgia is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious soul food. From the moment you step inside, the cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. And the food...oh, the food! Every dish is made with love and care, and you can taste it in every bite.

The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and the mac and cheese is creamy and flavorful. The collard greens are some of the best I've ever had, and the sweet potato casserole is a perfect balance of sweet and savory. And don't even get me started on the cornbread...it's like a warm hug in your mouth.

Overall, Rooster's Southern Corner is a gem of a restaurant, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area or just those passing through (much better than throwing away your money at a fast food establishment). The commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients really shines through in every dish. So do yourself a favor and eat local - you won't be disappointed!

I had country fried steak with white gravy, macaroni and cheese( excellent) and black eyed peas. It also comes with your choice of cornbread muffin or a roll. Get the soft roll. Outstanding price! Hidden local Gem.
My son had the catfish, roll and black eyed peas.This visit was his 6th time. Great, friendly service. A+++ oh and Fried Chicken I had a couple of days ago! 9.99 out 10. Call to hear about specials. These ladies always have a line out the door! You simply must give Roosters a try! Villa Rica. Close to Evans bbq. Which is also outstanding! Both locally owned and run. What are you waiting for!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time here and it definitely will not be my last. The staff was friendly and very patient. I had to wait on the Mac n cheese being cooked and I'm so glad I did bc the cook stuck those toes in it. So flavorful and cheesy!! The red velvet cake was really good too Moist and rich. Overall a great experience! This is my new spot!!

I looked on Google to find a Good Soul Food Resturant.
This Place popped up.
It was 24 mins away from me.
It was Sooo Worth the drive.
1st when I went in I was a Little mad they Only had Certain Sides on Certain days.
I had my mouth set for some Corn.... lol
I Decided to Try the Greens and Sweet Potatoes as a side.
I Dont like Everybodys Greens But I said too myself let me Try them.
Sooo Glad I did.
They were Seasoned so good.
I Never had that Seasoning in Greens before.
It was so good.
The Sweet potatoes were real. They weren't Can like most places give you.
I am really not a cornbread person.
But when I say they hot water Corn Muffin was so on point!
Oh wait I forgot to tell you About the Chicken.
It was Seasoned so good. And the Chicken taste like High Quality Chicken not that fake chicken being served at Many Restaurants!
So Glad me and my Honey tried this place on Valentines day...lol
We usually always go to Very Expensive restaurants.
This Resturant is a Hidden Gem!
And The Customer Service was Excellent!
They Spoke to Everyone who Came in!
Oh and they Are Black Owned.

I'm a food snob. My wife has raved about this place for a while so I decided to give it a try. Don't let the "hole in the wall" placement of the business fool you. By far the Best Southern Fried chicken I have eaten since I was a kid. Crunchy, spiced well, and juicy on the inside. MMMM! MMMM! The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. The green beans were delicious. The breads were good. The SWEET tea is all Southern and yummy. The staff are very kind and thanked us multiple times for coming in. I really wanted to personally thank the chef but didn't want to interrupt the craft going on in that kitchen. If you are near, stop by. You will not regret it.

If you're looking for a restaurant that will make your taste buds do the cha-cha, then look no further than this little hole in the wall soul food joint! We drove by it three times before we finally found it, but let me tell you, it was worth every U-turn. The food is so good, I'm pretty sure I heard my arteries clogging just from smelling it.

Soo good! Seasoned and great.. I stay very close and just found out about this place. It was fast and the people nice! The fried chicken was crispy juicy white meat and the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy with flavor. I also had the collard greens and it didn’t need hot sauce it was very seasoned how I like it. I also got a banana pudding on the side very yummy. I got food on a Sunday and I believe they had a lunch price but it was very affordable! I recommend it.

We've heard great things about this place, so we finally tried it out. Their menu changes daily for their main meat options, but they do have regular daily choices too. I got the country fried steak, corn bread, Mac n cheese, & collard greens. The only part I didn't like was the cornbread since it was sweet, but that's a personal preference. I mixed it with the collards & it was yummy! The prices can't be beat for the portion you receive. They also had fresh dessert options available & drinks. It's located right on the corner of a red light so you may have to park behind the building especially if they're busy.

Absolutely the best, hands down, Southern food you will find within a hundred miles at least! Hubs & I always love to come see all the ladies at roosters. Very kind, friendly and you can't beat the prices!!! Food like momma & Grandma used to make, when you don't have time to do it yourself.

The food is delicious. The mac and cheese is on point ! I've eaten there twice now. The baked chicken so far is my favorite. I tried the chocolate cake and it was dry. I don't know if it was old or just not good . Definitely my new food spot. FYI I was able to go back in and had a delicious moist piece of red velvet cake. Thank you

I've never had soul food so good in my life! The macaroni and cheese was divine the chicken was exceptional 😋 I love this place it's my new spot. The customer service was warm and friendly God bless this restaurant 🙏🏼

Excellent food with friendly service! My whole family ate the fried catfish with 2 sides. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh! Collards were tender and not bitter at all. Mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. Mac and cheese was tasty as were the black eyed peas. Terrific hot sauce too! At first I was disappointed that it was only one piece of catfish but it was big and I was way too full to have eaten two pieces so it was just right. I WILL eat there again! The special people are referring to in other reviews that was cheap is for a lunch special, Monday through Thursday. Some complain that the price was different than advertised when they ordered. The price does go up at dinner but that is a standard practice at restaurants. Also, if you read the menu descriptions it tells you which things come with 2 sides and which are just the meat and rice. Nothing sneaky going on here.

I don’t know how long this Gem 💎 has been sitting on that corner in that shopping center but, I’m thankful I found out it exists! Let me start off by saying that the staff ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Is outstanding. Now let’s get to the food, it’s Friday so I got the catfish and it is perfect! I also can’t wait to dig into the red velvet cake 🍰
