Periwinkle Inn

I wanted to write a review because my experience here was wonderful. A great place to stay and one of the most affordable places in winter. So peaceful and quaint. Perfectly clean and up to date as well. It can be a little tight, but that is part of the island charm in my opinion! Thank you for the great stay.

I've stayed here multiple times for work in the off season (so far. I can't speak for the busy seasons) and it's a great experience. Gail, the innkeeper, is lovely and the accommodations are lovely with a great selection of amenities and included breakfast. The one thing to be aware of is that because this is an old building, the rooms can be very small (especially 11, where I stayed). For some this might be a deal breaker but I enjoyed it and found it cozy and I'm 6'5". So your mileage may vary. Overall, I would absolutely recommend.

Had an amazing stay at the freshly renovated Periwinkle inn on Memorial Day weekend with a group of friends. Gayle the innkeeper was lovely and very friendly. The new decor is beautiful. They did an amazing job with every little detail. We stayed in room 3/4 (the family suite with private bathroom) and it was small but very comfortable and had everything we needed, including robes! The backyard was so cute to hang out and eat dinner and breakfast in. And the location is 10/10. Very short walk to the ferry and town. I highly recommend this place! And if you have any special requests or questions I recommend calling Gayle in advance to see if she can help out. She is lovely and the place is lovely. I highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Edited: some older reviews had negative feedback about the breakfast but this must have been resolved with the recent reopening. We had a lovely experience with the breakfast. It was basic, with a good amount of options and everything was fresh.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Periwinkle Inn. Clean rooms, perfect for families since they offer two rooms that are connected. Very close to town which was super convenient. Enjoyed the breakfast and snacks that were available. Will definitely stay again!

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 20th Anniversary in Nantucket, so my sister recommended the Periwinkle Inn. The staff was fantastic!
On our Anniversary, we found a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room and a note congratulating us on 20 years.
Muffins and coffee in the morning, everywhere is walking distance from the Inn.

Nice room with a view of the harbor, very helpful and friendly staff. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. A nice yard with sitting area. 4 minute walk to town and close to everything. You can't go wrong.

Amazing stuff! Couldn't be more happier!

All the charm I had hoped for and a gracious and welcoming innkeeper. Just in for an overnight but can't wait to get back for a longer stay!

Third week in Sept: Small room; hit my head on the beams because the room is in the eaves: could not sit it in the bed without shifting towards the middle of the bed because my head would hit a beam: AC was small; should have been turned on hours before getting here: No valance curtains, just shades showing::The bed was comfortable but should have been put the bed where the AC was where there were no beams: New bathroom we were told and it appears new: Clean: The staff was very nice; fresh strawberries and blueberries in the kitchen: yogurt and juice in the fridge: quaint; sweet place but not for $250/night in off season: there are many others also near by: big plus is that it is very close to downtown/wharf:
