I stayed in Cottage #8. The grounds are well kept. The cottages are clean and comfortable with a full kitchen, screened porch and satellite TV. Central heat and AC, but it wasn't needed on my mid-April visit. Charcoal grills are available near the cottages. I had OK phone/data service at the Eco-Lodge. I would definitely stay here again.

Best place to stay if you want to explore the swamp with your family. Lovely cottages with comfy beds, screened porches, air conditioning and full kitchens with pots and utensils so you can cook "at home."

The two bedroom cottages are huge, with separate beds and bathrooms and a very large living room space and full kitchen.

It is about 20 minutes to drive over to Stephen C. Foster park from the Eco-lodge.

Be aware that Fargo is a teeny tiny town with one restaurant, one gas station and now, an awesome Dollar General! Everything is closed by 10:00 at night so be prepared if you are getting to town late.

Facilities are great! One exception is the lavatory faucet, it has heavy lime deposits and sprays water everywhere. It is also an automatic faucet like those in restrooms.
A REAL PAIN!
But it is sure quiet here! 😊😁👍

Very nice area quite and secluded. Better bring your bread, milk, and eggs because closest grocery store in about 30 miles out. Very clean cottages. Good ac and heat. Huge bathroom and tree frogs everywhere.

The cabins in the park were full. We were able to stay just one night by calling the park directly. The cottage was very clean. We would like to come back & stay longer. We did not have time to take advantage of the screened porch. Great place to stay for visiting the Okefenokee. Tip: bring everything you may need to eat, the nearest restaurant & groceries are far & in the opposite direction of the park.

Nice, but it's 18 miles from the park, yet run by the park?

The isolated, sort of weird vibe here makes it kind of neat. The place is almost entirely empty of guests (yet newer), a single unit has a group/public style restroom with 2 stall toilets and 2 showers? Why!? So weird.

Staff here is awesome, helpful, and friendly, but how does this place sustain itself with next to zero customers? State tax dollars I guess.

The cabin was great. We had the two bedroom on the end. Nearly 2000 sq ft. Lots of room. Everything worked, even the ice machine in the fridge. Very quiet and dark so the telescope viewing was as good as it can get in a humid environment.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The cabins are cozy, yet the vaulted ceilings make them feel quite spacious. Along with the large screened in porch and ample amount of windows. Very clean cabin and private location. As comfortable as it gets especially while visiting a place like Okefenokee. My only complaint was the door to screened in porch was very hard to open which was a minor inconvenience at best. Such a great place to stay and I hope to return in the future.

Edited to add: There is now a Dollar General right in Fargo. Maybe two minutes away from the Eco-Lodge.

This is truly a hidden gem. The cabins are lovely, spacious and well-maintained. The main building/conference center is spacious and well appointed. There is a good selection of tables to use. The commercial kitchen is great. Everything is neat and clean. This is a great location for a retreat.

It was a very beautiful, peaceful and comforting Lodge! Kids have large amount of room to run and play. The rooms were beautiful and comforting and unique. Your room came with it full kitchen living area with flat screen TV satellite and Wi-Fi. The bathrooms were very spacious depending on what room you chose. They were rooms that would sleep up to 8 and they were rooms that were accommodated to sleep only two to three people. With one bed and let out couch in all rooms you had a screened-in back porch very spacious. Rooms that slept up to eight people have a larger kitchen area living area a spacious bathroom and back porch screened-in as well. Very well accommodated for anyone that may be handicapped. Large doorways spacious area for a person in a wheelchair to get around with inside the room. It's a very beautiful layout the entire structure outside and in was absolutely stunning. I would recommend staying there to anyone who was traveling to visit the Okefenokee Swamp or two fish the Suwannee River. It is a great place for weddings plenty of room for the guests to stay or for any type of occasion where multiple groups need room to gather and stay overnight if needed. My children and I loved every inch of the place so spacious and say feeling and most of all more than enough room for your kids to run and just enjoy themselves Outdoors or in. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Fargo Georgia for sightseeing to stay at the Suwannee River Lodge. Loved it.

Great place for families! Very spacious lodge with padded dining chairs. Industrial kitchen is incredible! Has 2 nice hook-ups for campers. Elevated covered board walk connects all the cabins to the lodge. Has everything needed for family get-togethers.

My husband and I stayed there early February 2016. We were greeted by very friendly camp hosts who shared their campfire and hospitality with us. Our cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. .
We will be returning. Definitely worth the hour or so off of I 75. A wonderful gem.

Three different cabin layouts all with full dishes, linen, kitchen...all you need. Amazing screened porches with rocking chairs! Only 18 miles from the beautiful Stephen C. Foster Park.

The shower pressure was so hard it was painful, but other than that it was fantastic. It would be nice if they offered discounts to extend your stay when they have no one else booked. We stayed longer than planned, but I would have stayed 2x as longer with a discount. We were the only 5 guest there.

Fun little play ground, clean facilities, and friendly staff. We took the boat tour, and saw plentiful wildlife. We had a great time.
