B&C Seafood Riverside & Cajun Restaurant

This was my first time ever in Louisiana. I was recommended to visit this place. I LOVED IT! I had the Shrimp Po' Boy and fried gator. I loved this place so much I went back before my trip ended. This place is a must, do bare in mind your order has to be placed at the register. See for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

Oh man.. this is what you call local flavor! Amazing food, excellent service, excellently priced fresh seafood to take home, and the atmosphere is awesome!

This is the real deal! If you’re looking for good food and atmosphere in a little Louisiana town, this is your spot! I had the Poboy and the bread was melt in your mouth, finally found out that they make it fresh there. Fried catfish and red beans were wonderful Everything fresh in the house.

A gem of a roadside restaurant next to the market. We stopped for lunch after spending hours at the Whitney Plantation nearby. This Cajun restaurant had a great menu, great service. Grilled catfish was delicious! Highly recommend for other visitors looking for a low key, local meal.

This small town gem has some delicious offerings! We came to the area for the day and stopped here for lunch. We had the crawfish boil, fried shrimp, the lunch special which was fried catfish with jambalaya and white beans. We also had the pecan pie and a mint julep, it was ALL delicious! If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by for some authentic local and delicious home style cooking!

Hands down the BEST restaurant we visited on our getaway. Food was simply AMAZING (IMHO, best gumbo in NOLA) and Kathleen was not only friendly but helpful. Also cannot understate the incredible take home seafood store attached, we bought some delicious boiled softshell crab to bring home. Definitely coming back on the next trip.💯

We went to a market/dine-in place today off the beaten path. The food was SO good and authentic. We polished off a bottle of their hot sauce with our boudin balls, gator burger, Okra and stuffed crab. We also had a house made andouille sausage sandwich. We finally heard more of a french/cajun local accent. The people we so friendly and helpful. You can buy pretty much everything they cook there. So yummy! We bought some of their brand of homemade sauces too!

On our way to Oak Alley we stopped for lunch. This wasn't our original pick, but we saw the sign on a corner and I just said oh let's go there, we weren't disappointed. It is definitely a "hole in the wall" but those tend to be the best spots. Kathleen was our server and even though she was super busy and alone she never made us feel rushed. She was super sweet and gave great recommends. We started off with the Breaux sampler (catfish, shrimp, gator, bodain balls, hushpuppies, and seafood gumbo), every time I tried something different I said "oh that's good". 🤣 my boyfriend had the Tommy Breaux special with frog legs and they were so tender. I had the seafood gumbo with potato salad. The potato salad was homemade and delicious. The gumbo was awesome also. We plan on going back to the Whitney Plantation, we may have to stop back in.

Stopped for lunch and had a shrimp PoBoy and some seafood gumbo. Wasn't sure as we arrived with no others there. It was great and fun staff, quick service. Shortly after we arrived, the place filled up. We would stop here again.

Great food - love the seafood spice.

We ate here back in May after a glowing recommendation from the staff at Laura Plantation. We tried the alligator bites as a table (delicious) and I ordered the grilled frog legs and they were absolutely one of the best meals I've had in five regular years of visiting Louisiana. I ended up eating the leftovers for breakfast the next morning (my birthday) and they were just as good cold out of the fridge.

Would visit again, every time.

It is a very authentic Cajun restaurant where I enjoyed a gator burger and a pecan pie.

OMG! So good. We stopped after a plantation tour on a recommendation from a friend and we were pleasantly surprised.

Everything we had, the jambalaya, the gumbo, crawfish, catfish po-boy. Everything was amazing.

The staff was very friendly and understanding that we were just some folks driving through and needed help with the menu. And don’t forget to take a photo with the gator.

Delicious Gumbos (we ate 1 chicken&andouille G and 1 seafood G) and sweet potatoes fries! Fast and smily service. And live music even for lunch! We recommend

What a surprise to have found this restaurant, which sported the best gumbo soup I've ever had in my life, as well as other local specialties. The service was direct, unpretentious yet friendly. Highly recommend this hole-in-the-wall type of place!

Very good food. Even though their building got damaged by the hurricane, I’m impressed they got back up and running with a limited menu. Nice server too!

Amazing fried catfish and hush puppies. Solid seafood gumbo, too. The decor isn't impressive, but their food is and good service, too.

Everything we ate was amazing! Their gumbo and sweet potato fries were both my all-time favorites!!!
