Star's at Quincy

I'm town for work (month-long extended assigment). So far, this is the best grocery store I found. Neat, clean, and well-organized! Thank you for doors on the refrigeration units! I find all my essentials for preparing gourmet-level meals even in a hotel kitchenette!

The worst thing I can say is that they have expensive blueberries that are organic. But the store is really clean, has a great organic and traditional selection, it's pretty easy to find things, and the checkout is often very quick.

I ordinarily wouldn't review a supermarket. I mean c'mon what's really special about chain supermarkets right? They're after all typically carbon copies of one another. But this particular Star Market (sister store and owned by Shaws) has been around forever and a day. I really like this place for it's wide aisles, it's pretty good selection overall, and it has an excellent produce section. But the back of the house where the deli and meat sections are is special. It has a great staff and the prepared meals, hot foods, and sandwiches are always beautifully displayed. There's pride put into that area and it shows. Now let's go up front to pay for our goodies and discover just how busy this place can be! Doesn't seem that way with all the elbow room around the store but this is the bottle neck. You'd expect this is where the typical supermarket aggravation begins. But that's not been my experience. They staff the front end well and the staff has always been really friendly and courteous to me. The only thing I don't like is the parking lot which is often filled with discourteous drivers. But there are also other businesses there and you can't blame bad drivers on a business anyway. Go there on off hours and enjoy supermarket bliss!

Well organized. Their fruits and vegetables are extremely fresh. They are definitely better than Stop & Shop because they don't charge you extra for buying their goods, they don't charge your extra for bags, I used to do most of my shopping at Stop & Shop but now I do most of my Shopping at Star market.

Wonderful staff. Clean fresh produce. Unfortunately it is a bit expensive but that is thanks to the Dems and lovely Biden.

Never had a bad experience here and I can always find what I need. Also sometimes I can get some good deals using their app which is always a big help.

Best supermarket in Quincy. The Starbucks right at the entrance can make for a good start to your shopping experience. It is also open early for us early birds. Very kind and attentive staff, which makes this feel like part of the community.

Excellent store with great deals and prices

My go to local supermarket. Having a Walgreens next store is convenient, but Star Market has great variety for a reasonable price on most items.

Great shopping strip. Starbucks in the Star Market and a drive through dunkins across the street.

We stopped here to purchase some fresh cut fruit in containers. The fruit was very fresh and delicious!

Could be cleaner, better staffed, and they could do a better job handling the busy shifts, they are always understaffed on weekends and busy shopping days. Otherwise I like this supermarket, it has everything I like, and It is smaller than stop n shop making it easier to find things and get from one end to the other if you forget something in frozen foods.... I like the environment here, especially when it's not busy. Its comfortable, organized, and convenient.

So happy to have rediscovered this store, after a few months of slumming at Stop and Shop. Great selection of items, including lots of easy to find organics. Good produce department, with avocados you can eat the same day. Quick check out, too, which is something I haven't seen in awhile. And, the employees don't seem as miserable/oppressed LOL

I always compare prices between Star Market and Stop & Shop and Star comes out on top most of the time. They have everything you can imagine a grocery should have at good prices. Store is clean and has a deli, Starbucks, bakery etc. It is usually busy here but they do have self checkout so you can get in and out fairly quickly!

This store is full of it. I brought something that rang up wrong and the cashier and service desk clerk treated me like I'm a criminal but yet I work at 538 for almost 15 years doing the same job and I know for a fact your not supposed to treat a customer that way. Very distasteful. I have a great career working real estate and I have never been treated so low and disrespectful
