We stopped thinking this was still only a country cooking place, but I was thrilled to see Jamaican food on the menu and to find the gentleman taking our order was Jamaican. My wife and I had the Oxtails, Curry Goat, and Jerk chicken. The oxtail was maybe the best I’ve had, the jerk chicken stunning, and my wife loved the curry goat, but it was a definite third place for me. My parents had a burger and pulled pork sandwich, and they loved them. Definitely coming back soon.

What an awesome surprise find. I rarely do food reviews as I'm very picky. Top notch home cooked southern... but here's the icing on the cake... authentic jerked chicken and caribbean. Literally the most authentic within 3hr radius of RTP... and the best ive had outside jamaica and nyc. Worth a detour to get fed they these nice folks.

Lovely diner and a true endangered piece of Southern dining. Unfortunately the last of the meatloaf was being consumed when I walked in. So I opted for a vegetable plate. Nice discussion on greens, I’ve always preferred collards to mustard greens. As my plate was being readied we discussed the different greens. I had a bit of mustard added last minute. I must admit they were better! But collards were also fine. Mac and cheese most excellent and pintos perfect. The world will mourn the last of the diners someday soon.

Great food and literally the nicest human beings you will ever meet. I’m so glad we accidentally found this place! I’ll definitely be back.

Welcoming and friendly, relaxed and inviting atmosphere, incredibly delicious menu items (*quality ingredients, authentic home-cooked taste), unbelievably tasty bbq (*vinegar-based sauce that tantalizes tastebuds, pleases palates, and thoroughly satisfies the appetite). Clean and well maintained facilities. Courteous staff, quick service.

We stopped in at the tail end of lunch. Good old southern food, home cooked with love. Jeanette was a doll, just take her recommendations.

This place is truly a hidden gem. It's what a real down home restaurant should be. We had the chopped BBQ with Mac and cheese and collards for me, Mac and cheese and fried okra for my wife. Everything was so homemade and delicious. Don't like fried okra you say? You'll leave here with a different opinion. We will definitely be back.

Home style cooking, so hard to find now. Hamburger steak with gravy n onions. Fried chicken liver the best I have had!

We are a family traveling to West Virginia, and we stopped here for a quick bite before getting back on the road. The lady taking our orders was as sweet as she could be, as was her daughter. The food was hot and seasoned perfectly and was very reasonably priced. This is a little gem of a restaurant off the beaten path, but I'd much rather support local businesses than franchise fast food joints.

Had an opportunity to stop in on a ride back from Danville. This was my 1st visit. I am absolutely glad that I made the decision to stop. Wonderful people. Great atmospere. Great food. Great deserts! I left with a big smile. I look forward to dining here again the next time I pass through Yanceyville.

This place is AMAZING. My only complaint is that it’s not closer to us so we can visit every week! From the moment you walk in, your warmly greeted and welcomed, atmosphere is family oriented, and the place is super clean. The food was hot, full of flavor, and portions were awesome. We stopped in as strangers on our way through NC, and left as friends waving goodbye.

This little country BBQ, doesn't get enough credit! It's great. If you want real food, this is the place to go! Everything I've had is very good.

Great place, I had great Jerk Chicken! My wife went with my father to Sunday brunch. They were very impressed. She said it was the best pork chop she had ever had.

I recently moved to the area, and wanted to try this place out. Highly recommend, good people run it.
