After you cross the railroad tracks and take a right, entering Burch Station, you will see the old railroad trestle. As you reach the parking area, Yadkin River, in all its glory appears.

Park your car because there is a lot of beauty to take in at Burch Station. If you're daring enough, you can walk across the trestle to the other side and fish from the riverbank.

If trestle crossing is not for you, don't let that stop you. You can take a short walk, passing beneath the trestle, to the creek that divides the land. Jump the creek and you'll be in just the right spot to fish.

If fishing is not for you, cross that creek anyway. A short walk down the river will lead you to a semi-private sandbar for a quite riverside picnic.

Beautiful way to see the Mitchell River. Lived in Elkin for most of my life and this is the first time I've ever been here. Please continue to keep clean for those who want to enjoy God's glory.
