Chinatown Express

A moment of true nostalgia. As a Boston native, one thing I will forever love is the food, especially the Chinese Food! Chinatown Express is one of my favorite on the go restaurants. I’ve been coming here since 2002 and though I moved out of Boston in 2005, I make sure to come get an order everytime I’m in town.

Good food, good portions, and most of all, GREAT Combination plates. My go combo is the D11. Chicken Fingers, Boneless Spareribs, Beef Teriyaki, and Pork Fried Rice. This combination is a perfect balance of pork, beef, and chicken. The ribs are meaty and have a perfect sweet to salt balance. The beef teriyaki is well done and pairs well with the pork fried rice. The highlight for me is the moist, meaty chicken fingers. The meat is seasoned as well as the batter is too. The pork fried rice brings everything together as I take a scoop of rice with every bite of meat. LoL!!!!

Now, if you know what’s good for you, make sure to get the Duck Sauce. One thing about the Chinese food in Boston is the Duck Sauce. It’s sweet and provides an added flavor profile to everything on the plate. Also, regardless of what you order, the duck sauce will always make it taste even better. LoL!!!

If you're in the area you’ve gotta stop in and get some food from Chinatown Express. The menu has a variety of options. The lunch and dinner specials are awesome. The service is good. And the food is fresh.

20 years later and they still haven’t lost the quality goodness that I enjoy!

Spicy food here hit or miss but days when it's hitting its still got flavor (kon boa pork) one few places that makes Egg fui yong and often they will add more food to your order but in a guud way

This place has been around for 30 plus years. When my mother and father were here once a month my family would order from there. This was our idea of a fancy poor man's dinner. The food was always good. 30 years ago there was a Asian woman who worked there that took the orders. The best lady in the world and her voice was popular. " welcome to Chinatown Express, may I take your order", so nostalgic ...
The food is still good and the restaurant has not changed much. The only difference is that the people that run it now are a little rude and pretend not to speak English which I find rude.
I thanked one of the cooks in the back and he so rudely told me "yeah yeah bye."
Food is the best still!

The quantity of food given by this establishment is well within the price you pay. I love certain items that I buy from here , as I eat here at least once a week.

Been continuously amazing for well over a decade! Incredibly clean, a few seats to sit and eat but I just take it home. Very friendly staff, never over/undercooked food, no better place to get Chinese food in the area!

Catherine i really disagree with you i am sorry but everybody doesn't have a problem. They have have their entire pan of rice done and you want it to be cooked for just for you without the onions. So that means they have to cook another pan of it. Of course they wouldn't do it for you. And the person who answered the phone was probably busy so he/she didn't talk to you clearly or fast enough. I love this restaurant a lot their food is the best and my favorite Chinese restaurant ever! Love it. I will always come back!

I look forward to stopping at Chinatown Express for takeout food! My order is prepared fresh by the hardworking cadre of chefs, and I have always enjoyed the food they make! I'm usually shy about asking for recommendations, but at Chinatown Express I now ask for suggestions, and that gives me that feeling of special neighborhood quality! Please expect to take out - there are only 2 booths - but your food will be hot when you bring it home to your family!

This place has GREAT food reasonably priced, however they're closed on Monday it started in 2018 until further notice but it's been 2 years, not complaining. Ive been eating here since I was a kid. In my 50's now. 😊

This restaurant has been around for a very long time the food is fresh and very very good.. Great service and the prices are good too.

Best Chinese Food in Town. I just wished they stayed open longer, but not if that would compromise their quality. The food is consistent. This is my favorite Friday night take out date night.

Best Chinese food in the Mattapan/Hyde Park area. Been going there for over 20 years. Love the employees. Never had a problem.
