Natural Falls State Park was a huge hit for our family. My boys (ages 8 & 6) loved the hiking trails and they weren’t too difficult for us to navigate. The waterfall is breathtaking and only a short hike from the parking lot. There are some paved paths that lead to a view of the waterfall, but most of the trails are rock. I do recommend you have some good hiking shoes to help navigate if you plan to walk down the trails. It’s a short drive from Northwest Arkansas or even the surrounding Tulsa area. I highly recommend you put Natural Falls State Park on your list to visit and enjoy some family time outdoors.

Natural Falls State Park is a gem nestled in the heart of Oklahoma, boasting one of the largest waterfalls in the state. Its majestic beauty, showcased in the film "Where the Red Fern Grows," adds a touch of cinematic magic to the experience. The park's well-maintained hiking trails offer adventurers the chance to explore its lush forests and stunning vistas. Despite its smaller size, the park provides ample opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, thanks in part to its knowledgeable and friendly staff. Whether you're chasing waterfalls or seeking solace in nature, Natural Falls State Park delivers an unforgettable experience.

It’s FREEE you only pay for parking 10 dollars but you can be there all day. We’re from Florida so I was not use to the hiking I recommend good shoes. But I absolutely loved the scenery we visited early October so the weather was perfect. Not hot nor cold.

Beautiful place with very scenic views from the trails. Makes you feel like you’re not in Oklahoma anymore! I would recommend visiting to anyone who asks. Only bad part is the tourists who think rules don’t apply to them, and go past the boardwalk onto the plunge pool shore. It’s happened both times I’ve gone.

Beautiful scenic trail with waterfall, nice gift shop/info center with friendly, informative attendant. I didn't know there were yurts you could rent, they look really fun.

I’ve captured a couple of surprise proposals in the park and it is the perfect setting for a photo shoot! The only thing is that it gets darker down there earlier than up by the highway or parking lot so plan accordingly. Sunset photos down by the waterfall should be scheduled 30-60 minutes earlier than what you would think is the best time. Other than that, just an amazing park and I feel lucky to live close to such an amazing spot!

Nice park. The lady in the welcome center was super friendly. The falls itself are easy to get to with a cement path and stairs leading the way. It also had a nice trail to get different angles and see more of the park. Beautiful pond just past the falls as well. The campgrounds looked nice, and they have yurts if that's your style. I did not stay the night so don't know the price but parking is ten dollars. I will probably come back here for the night on a future road trip.

The falls were amazing! Kids had a blast and we explored all over. Can definitely spend the weekend and not see ever area. We will be back!

We chose the right day to go because we had the whole place to ourselves. The upper waterfall did not have any water but it was still a beautiful place to visit. The park was a great place for our kids to stretch their legs and have some extra fun.

My only regret about this place is that I have lived in Oklahoma most of my life and never visited this park until now. The hiking trails are easy in some areas and moderate in others. Maybe it’s just me but the trail map could use some tweaking. The RV park and the Yurts available for use look really nice. The park is maintained well. I also noticed that they had security on duty which provides some level of comfort in leaving your vehicle parked ($10 BTW)while you go for a hike. The water falls were cool to see and there were different places to choose from in which to view them which is a nice touch. I can definitely recommend this area to relax and spend some quality time with nature.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Not an all day adventure but definitely at least half a day. But they do have yurts that you can rent and stay the night, which is pretty cool. The waterfalls are not massive but definitely beautiful. You can also do some hiking around the area. Highly recommend.

This park is easily accessible with an RV in tow. The camping area is nicely kept and the yurt camping is so close to the waterfall you can hear it from the door.
I also highly recommend The Drippings Springs walking trail! It is not handicap accessible, but you can access a waterfall view.

Great park with fantastic trails. They could be marked a little bit better, but we had a great time exploring when we got lost. The falls are pretty and near the beginning of the trail so can be seen without a full hike. RV and camper parking was good.

Love this state park! Beautiful place in nice weather (when it's not too hot). Easy hikes, the falls is a short walk and really easy other than being rather steep. The trails aren't marked very well and we've gotten lost a couple times but always find our way out. We've tent camped twice and brought our camper once. Lovely campground, lovely state park; one of my favorites!

This place is absolutely amazing! And such a short drive from NWA. If you haven’t been, it is a must see! Easy hikes, and just stunning.

Sitting on a bench by the waterfall was very therapeutic. It is a short distance to see the waterfall if you don't want to hike the entire park. Hiking was long, and great. It took us around two hours to see majority of the park, caves, and smoke house (located by children's playground). Parking was only $10 and it was worth it for sure. We went on Monday and there were not many people which was great. We stayed in a Million Dreams Cabins ( loved it) that we rented on Vrbo, and it only took us 10 minutes to get to the park.

The RV spots have great water pressure and the best views! The park is well kept, and the trails are perfect for exploring. The falls are beautiful!

What a wonderful campground. The state of Oklahoma sure knows how to run a campground. Full hook ups vertical clean park, The trails are awsome for me and my dogs. I just loved it.

This little park was an unexpected delight. It’s well hidden off the main highway, there is one large sign telling you it’s the next left but that is it for markings but still easy to figure out. Park is beautiful and well staffed. Worth the time and the Yurts looked neat as well. For kids: The playground equipment is newer looking and clean. Great area for adventurous kiddos!

Beautiful place to hike, dogs are welcome. The Falls are spectacular. Some paths are easier than others, benches for resting if needed, bring your pole to fish. Has a nice campground-RVs or tents.
