If there was an option of giving more than 5 stars then I would definitely do that. WHAT A PLACE!!

Waiting time for 1 hour and I don’t regret at all now after eating here. A complete surprise of a restaurant.

It looks so small and tiny from outside but it’s massive inside. So much space at every nook and corner and even have an outdoor area at the back.

Now the food. Mind blowing food. Each and every dish, starting from chips and salsa to margarita was spot on.
The flavors of the dishes are to die for.

Carne Adovada Al Horno was so so delicious. The pork loaded in flavors. The side of spinach with pork so tasty, never had spinach taste so better.

Chicken quesadilla was amazing

Chicken enchiladas were so good.

The beef in taco salad was also so well cooked.

The margarita was spot on.
Sopaipilla was cooked perfect. Soft, lightly sweet and delicious.

Special mention to our set fee Julieta (I think that was her name). She was so attentive and very pleasant. She answered all our questions with so much patience. Thank you.

I would love to go again and highly recommend this place.

Delicious New Mexican food and generous portions! Staff is very friendly, and the restaurant has a great local ambiance. We had the chile relleno for dinner, and it was so good we came back for huevos rancheros for breakfast the next morning.

Located right in Albuquerque Old Town. This historic restaurant fits the Old Town atmosphere and beauty. Once you walk in, you will see an extraordinary atmosphere and ambience. I cannot describe how beautiful it is inside as well as they're outside patio. We had a party of 12 people there and not one of us was upset with our food. Everything was delicious. I will tell you they're green chile is delicious. The person who got the Carne Adovada was a little disappointed. It was too salty and there was some certain seasoning that didn't hit the palate so well. The waitress and other staff were friendly but the food did take quite a while to get to us. When you want to experience the Old Town vibe and eat at a wonderful restaurant within Old Town, this is the place to go.

Don't let the outside fool you, this place is awesome on the inside. Carry out or dine in, you won't be disappointed. Numerous inside and outside dining options. The outside patio is gorgeous. Highly recommend the pitcher of margaritas.

Wow! Genuine New Mexico experience with a cafe vibe! Come enjoy a monstrous Club Sandwich or flavorful New Mexican food. The chairs are comfortable and the restaurant is nice and intimate. When you walk up to the front door it seems small and maybe looks closed but it’s actually huge inside. Featuring indoor and outdoor dining and also bar seating. There is a little bit of everything. Fits right into the Old Town theme with lots of historical decorations. The chicken burrito with red chili was very good. The salsa has a sweet beginning with a sharp bite right at the end. Overall, highly recommended and we will return!

I am not from here. Was told to try the green chili sauce. Was hesitant so I got red and green on my burrito. It was good but I am fully team green chili sauce now. I wish I trusted my friends.

They also have local beers and a pretty good sangria/margarita.

I was surprised by sopapillasafter the meal. So good.

This place is awesome! Love the architecture and the outside dining in back. Food was great, haven't had good menudo in a while. First time I've eaten everything in the bowl and didn't have half of it be broth leftover.

Absolutely delicious. Amazing atmosphere. Wonderful service. And the kitchen staff was on point. I enjoyed walking around Old Town this evening and stumbled onto this wonderful resturant. Definately recommend anyone in the area, or those passing by, to make a point to experience this establishment.

Very good! Came in with a friend for dinner. We split the Carne adovado with spinach. Super good! The sopapillas as well are a great addition. They were pretty busy, so food was a but slow to the table, but not a huge deal! Definitely worth a try if you're in this cute little part of town!

The veggie tamales are to die for! I had them with spinach that is highly seasoned and a perfect match with the tamales. I may stay an extra day in Albuquerque just so I can eat here again.

My friend and I are visiting from Texas and wanted to go out for a nice dinner, and this was definitely the place!! They serve mainly Mexican food, but so also offer American food as well. We had a little bit of a wait but it was worth every second! The food was amazing. I've really come to like the signature green Chile on food. It gives the food a nice touch. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for good Mexican food/ alcoholic beverages.

Always stop here when I go thru Albuquerque, delicious Huevos Rancheros along with the best homemade hot chocolate. They also have specialty coffees and traditional Breakfast items.

Once again our niece chose an outstanding venue for lunch! The food was delicious, satisfying, and just the right amount. Our wait staff, Gene, was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Inside, the restaurant was huge. We also noticed the inviting, outside dining areas. Not all areas could be used, though, since Church Street Cafe is plagued with not enough staff. Thus seems to be a problem with many business throughout USA during CoVid.

We ordered drinks and lunch, and also complimentary chips & salsa (thank you, Yelp check in!). We had time to look around & enjoy the tasteful decor before and after the crisp chips & spicy salsa arrived. We also used the restrooms which were clean and well stocked.

When our entrees arrived, they looked delicious - and did not disappoint. My chef salad was fresh and plentiful - loaded with cold cuts and cheese as well as fresh greens and sliced hard boiled eggs. Husband’s beef enchiladas with beans and rice were as tasty and satisfying as they looked. Niece had the tamales, and enjoyed every bite. Niece and I loved the light & delectable sopaipillas with the supplied honey. Yummy!

When we return to this area, we will definitely return to this restaurant for the great food and great staff!

In my opinion this is one of the top 3 New Mexican restaurants in the city. The food is very flavorful, but not heavy-feeling as a lot of other New Mexican food can be. They also have a few unique dishes like "old fashioned chile rellenos" which have shredded pork and cheese. I considered myself a relleno connoisseur and these are some of the best I've had. The calabacitas, Pinto beans, and Spanish rice were all great, and the chicken enchiladas were very good as well.
Their hazelnut latte is perfectly done and not too sweet which I appreciate.
I have yet to try their breakfast or dessert, but I expect they're also exceptional.
The property is also very pretty! From the outside it looks small, but there's a lot of seating inside and a large "garden" in the back with a pond and about 10 or 12 tables. The garden is really beautiful. Lots of green plants and natural shade from a huge tree that makes the area feel separate from the rest of old Town. The pond has fish and a fountain system which adds a wonderful ambiance. If the weather is nice I highly recommend sitting outside.
The only criticisms I have are that the green chile was Very mild, and the sopapillas could have been a bit more crispy.
I'm an Albuquerque native, and ashamed to admit that I had never eaten at Church Street despite living 5 minutes away for years! I had been meaning to try it for a long time and after finally eating there, I wish I had tried it much sooner.

Looks like a tiny restaurant from the street, but the place is really big. They also have a beautiful patio. Fantastic, friendly service. Reasonable prices. The food was really good. We would absolutely eat here again!
