The Lawrence Wharf Pavilion is a recreational structure created by the Cohasset Harbor Improvement Commission in 1909.
The commission had plans to acquire the plots of land around the inner neck of Cohasset Harbor and connect them as recreational landscapes for public use as a harbor-side promenade. Although they did acquire much of the land, eventually commercial interest won out and private development emerged. The Lawrence Wharf Pavilion is the sole remaining land of this effort.
