We just had brunch here today and it was delicious! The waffle board for two was easily shareable by 3 of us, and the clotted cream butter was the star of the show. The ambience is very unique and the attention to detail is amazing. The seating was very quaint and comfortable and makes you feel like you’re about to have tea service at tea time. For dessert, don’t miss the cold brew chocolate cake. It is rich and delightful. Or as the English would say, “It’s quite lovely”! Make sure you pay attention to the classic book that your check is presented in. That’s one of those details that you won’t want to miss! Can’t wait to come back for dinner on date night!

Wow! Portions were good, prices were decent for 5-star food and service; which is a big deal right now in 2022…. LONG LIVE THE ENGLISH MERCHANT’S PARLOUR!!😁

Best burger I’ve had in a while—Better than The Pub’s!

The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned; while adding a really nice balance with guac, Caramelized red onions, bacon and Gouda. It gave a great 1-2 punch of sweet and savory! Went down nicely with a crackberry cider.

My wife had the 3 cheese Tortellini with a homemade light pesto cream sauce; topped with real Parmesan and pine nuts. It did not disappoint.
It went well with their sweeter Rosé.

Our server Jean, was extremely professional, attentive to everything we needed, and made very good suggestions for us!

The live music performed by one of the servers was a nice touch that brought a lot more value and uniqueness to the dinner experience, especially because the music choices were flawlessly executed British artist(mostly) covers in a ‘mellow coffee shop’ style that made a normal date something very special for my wife and I!

This dinner was great, and we will definitely be back for their famous weekend brunches as well!

We visited Waxahachie for Scarborough Faire but are very thankful we stayed for dinner at The English Merchant’s Parlour.

Eddy and Gianna took excellent care of us the entire evening. It all started with their drink menu, which is not the usual fare but rather is a curated selection that seemed perfect for the menu.

For dinner we all enjoyed renditions of chicken pot pie, beef stout pie, and braised short ribs. All were excellent.

We capped off the meal with the cold brew chocolate cake which had just enough coffee to provide additional depth, but certainly not enough to trouble the non-coffee drinker. The cake was simply superb paired with the fresh strawberries and covered in a light buttercream.

If we were locals, we’d be regulars. But for now, dropping by The Parlour will have to remain a very occasional treat when we’re next in the area.

Per my husband, "This was the best mistake we've made in a long time!" We were headed for the restaurant next door but I want paying enough attention & we ended up in the English Merchant's Parlour.

Everything we had was delicious! It was a great date night in a restaurant with a retro vibe.

A nice dining experience with the calmness of a coffee shop, but the decor of class and comfort. It is a spot unlike most. The staff and the owner show authenticity and are welcoming. The food is plated very nicely and tastes very good. One of the waitresses also sings live music and has an amazing voice. Y’all keep it up! I’ll be back!

We went in to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised. The earl grey was rich and hot. We ordered a cheese board that came with berries and fruits. I want to eat like this every meal. I enjoyed the eccentricness and pallette of everything I could see. The details of Europe touching everything in the decor. From the delicate embroidery on the table linens with sweet tea cups and hanging herbs just over head, there's much to be seen here.
I can't wait to go back and have a true brunch. The hour long journey will be worth it.
Thank you!

My wife loved the visit for her birthday dinner. Mary was a wonderful host and Beka was a friendly and attentive server. The live music by the guitar/violin duet added great atmosphere to the kitschy British decor. Make reservations!

Yesterday we got brunch at this restaurant, and I was totally blown away by their fallen soldier table! This was absolutely the best fallen soldier table I have ever seen done in a civilian establishment! The ONLY thing that could have been added is chairs leaned against the table so nobody could sit at it, but it fresh roses, an actual candle, the glass was turned over, and a page explaining the table! Really amazed and appreciative of the effort made by this restaurant and come to find out the owner is a veteran and our server is married to a veteran! On top of that, great food and great service! Go check it out if you haven't tried it!

Lovely to be greeted at the door. Wonderful cozy atmosphere. Comfortable seating. The Bloody Mary was spicy and good. Salad fresh. Pastry on the beef pie flakey, full of beef and rich flavorful gravy. You only need a fork to cut the short ribs. Real mashed potatoes, and a decadent dark chocolate cake that made my husband’s eyes glaze over. Can’t wait to try the Sunday Brunch. Thanks, Anthony & Deborah

Awesome little place! Post was British vibe. Very friendly staff. The beer on hand was an excellent choice of selection as well as the wine.
The only slight drawback if you would consider, is no liquor at the time. Would make an excellent location to have an old fashioned!

Ate there for the first time over the weekend, we really like the staff, the atmosphere, and the food was very good. It was expensive and the portion size was a little small. Specifically the fact that the Avocado toast only came with one slice. But over a good place and we will most likely go again.

This place is a wonder — the theme is London in the 60s — & wonderful. The drinks, the wine, the Brit-based menu, the hospitality and service, the elegant decor and the atmosphere are all stratospherically good! And Jazz Night with Roger Williams on the Sax is about as close to Coltrane as you’re ever going to get. And, he was joined later in the evening by a sequined singer that made me think of Diana Krall in Paris. I can’t recommend this place too highly. It has class, charisma — the definition of cool and chic. We’ll certainly be going back — often.

This place is outstanding!! Such a fun and unique experience. It’s like an adult tea party with the velvet couches and china. They have the best wine selection in town and their food is always amazing. Never mind the staff - probably the best part as they are so welcoming every time. A MUST VISIT in Hachie!

We held a great bridal shower here today. Plenty of space for our party of 20, probably holds twice as many comfortably, even during then pandemic. The decorations are so extensive we save loads of cash on deco, we really didn’t even have to do flowers (but did one large arrangement just because). They had all the dishes and equipment we needed for our afternoon tea themed event. We provided our own food and drinks, but didn’t have to bring anything more. Would recommend!
