Liquor Zone #1

I’ve really gotten into bourbon the last few months so I’ve been going to non big box liquor stores looking at their selection and prices. I stopped in here yesterday while running errands and I was impressed. There is a great selection and really good prices, which is a combination I haven’t seen much of. I’m not sure if it was the owner but the guy that helped me was really nice and even checked the back for a bottle I asked about. I was just going to check out the store and ended up buying a bottle and almost got 2. I will definitely go back.

This is one of my new favorite stores! Stopped in yesterday for the first time, and immediately felt welcomed. Pete and I talked bourbon for a good 20-30 minutes while I shopped. His selection is outstanding, and his pricing is very fair (sometimes even better than the big stores). I was on a bourbon hunt across Pearland and this place was 30+ minutes away from where I live... and i will happily do the drive over and over again in the future.

Liquor Zone, like its sister store Liquor Pot are really my go to places for Pearland liquor purchases. Why would I go to Total Wine or Specs when Pete and his crew usually have the same item for the same price or even cheaper? Do yourself and your town a favor and support the local businesses and choose Liquor Zone or Liquor Pot over the huge franchise stores.

I stopped by this morning and was shown a new Whistle Pig 10year single barrel store pick and offered a sample. The price was about 100 bucks which is really a steal for a WPSB, the small batch version is going for 80-90 dollars at some other stores. I also just happened to find an Elijah Craig A122 on the shelf for about MSRP. Pete also had some Russel single barrel picks. If you are a bourbon fan then these stores should be some of your weekly stops.

Pete is great; super knowledgable and very friendly in sharing what his store has to offer. As someone who regularly hunts for items, I will definitely make Liquor Zone a regular stop for me. They have a phenomenal collection and great prices.

1/26/24 Update: Stopped in today to see what Pete had acquired since my last visit; he had a new expression of his store pick WhistlePig 10 Year and a store pick Heaven's Door. Both are great scores! To quote my wife, "Pete must have really good taste because his store picks are awesome." I was also able to find a few other bourbons I have been searching for. Liquor Zone is a must visit!

Great liquor store! Would highly recommend. Especially their barrel picks. Selection is better than stores three times larger. Will stop here every time I’m in the area!

Pete is such a nice guy and down to earth. Went into the store and ended up talking to him for about 20min or longer. He even help me out and even gave a couple of recommendation which I tried out and it was delicious. He has a new location not far from this one and I will certainly be coming back to this location and his other one.

Liquor Zone is a gem in Pearland. I would say that bourbon is their specialty and their selection is surprising for the size of the store. They even occasionally have their private barrel selections for several labels. The guys are very helpful too. Their tequila selection is also worth mentioning. To be honest, I was at a major liquor superstore downtown and I found myself wishing I was back at Liquor Zone because I didn't see some labels that I had seen at the Zone. Their prices are fair too. No need to drive downtown or go to big stores!

This is the best liquor store in the Houston area. They have a selection that is second to none in a store this size and their prices are great. Pete picks some great private barrel bourbons and will go out of his way to help with anything and he really knows his stuff. If only every small business was run like this

This is a great little store! I've only been there twice, but I bought liquors that I'd never purchased before on both occasions. I wasn't even familiar with one of them. (I purchased it as a gift for a friend of a friend.) I love it when I can get what I want at a store that, theoretically, should have it. Kudos to them!

Yes, they have a good selection, and the store is clean and laid out thoughtfully. But the main reason I like this place is because it is in an awesome location. Specs is too far away, and it is too hard to get out of the parking lot at Pearland Liquor.

This store has a bit of a mark up, but its a new store and you're supporting local pearland family business; worth it.
Will go back, especially when I need brandy referrals.

I only go in this place in the evening and the gentleman that works at that time is always really great. His customer service is excellent and the bourbon selection is always great. Prices are Fair as well. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

You know what I like this place. I like the guys who are there also. They have Uncle Nearest priced the same as Total wine which is up the street! Small and quick stop place in the shopping center with Food Town.

Large selection but packed tight so get ready to look around. They have chasers and coolers with wine and other beers.

Great store friendly staff good price's go been going hear for a couple year's I go here quite a lot and have all ways had a good experience will be coming back and also would recommend this Liquor store to anyone.
