Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie

Nurses were super kind and efficient on a very busy Friday. Never got a room, wasn’t the most comfortable sitting in a hallway chair in the lab for several hours. However, I was impressed w all the nurses and other staff and Dr. Chinoy is excellent. I received wonderful care and answers. Yes, it was slammed and an unpleasant situation in the waiting room, lots of vomiting and people in obvious pain, but everyone was very kind, and working extremely hard to keep everyone taken care of efficiently. I was home in five ish hours. Thank you for taking kind care of me to all the wonderful nurses and Dr Chinoy!

I had a wonderful birth experience 2 weeks ago at this location and I'm a first time mom. I arrived at the ER at around 6AM and was promptly admitted into L&D. All the nurses and Dr. there were wonderful and friendly during my 2 day stay there, especially Diana, Dr. Davis and the entire team whom I don't remember the names ( sry pregnancy brain!). They made what supposed to be a difficult time so much easier and manageable. I'd highly recommend this hospital to all the expected mom in the area.

My mom is currently at the hospital for Diverticulitis, out of all the nurses we have had. Maria, our current night nurse (02.08.2024) whom is currently helping us in room 212. Has literally gone above and beyond! If there is anything I can do to make sure she gets recognized, please let me know!

5 Stars from me. My father had been in excruciating pain and previously attended to in Medical City Arlington, which he was released and advised to schedule his gallbladder surgery as an outpatient. Sure enough, when he attempted to do so, he was informed they were not able to perform the surgery since he was uninsured and referred him to Parkland. Parkland would not attend to my father because they did not seem the surgery an emergency despite being insured through their plan. Thankfully, Baylor Scott & White of Waxahachie were able to perform the gallbladder surgery on my dad and it went over smoothly! It has been two weeks now and my dad has been recovering wonderfully.

Also, the hospital is new and kept in pristine conditions. Love it!

They were very thorough in trying to find the root of my mother’s illness. Every employee I came across was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is homey and not sickly. The cafeteria food is delicious and I would stop by and eat any day. Even the janitor in ER brought my dad a cup of coffee just the way he likes it. I recommend this hospital.

Welcoming Experience

Checked in this morning for abdominal pain that has persisted for some time and received a warn welcome. The staff was super friendly, positive and through. As for the facility, it was a bit cold inside, but clean and relaxed. Dr. Chinoy was very proactive in his assessment and brought some joy to the visit.

Nurse Brittney - Keep being superb. Lol, remember my blanket if I ever have to return.

Oh, by the way I use to work for this hospital and loved every moment of it under nurse Amber leadership.

Overall on a positive/negative scale of 1-10, I give it an 8.

I’m not going to lie. I usually hate hospitals, but the staff did an amazing job today. They were a lot faster than I expected. I got a covid/flu test, chest X-ray. They got in out of there in 2 and half hours even though they were super busy. I also got a breathing treatment.. I wouldn’t recommend any other hospital especially Ennis!! Thank y’all for treating me like a human and not rushing through talking to me and explaining it the way I could understand it and answering all my questions. Y’all be safe out there and stay well. The flu is among us lol!

Oh my God from walking in to the reception desk n getting smiles til registering on down to the nurses to leaving I got all smiles n immediate assistance I've never been at a hospital like this. Im not the one to butter anyone are anything up but this is worth my time n effort. CLEAN, looks very nice on the inside and out, great view n waiting areas for ur families n loved ones while u have surgery. cool workers I left happy n taken care of. All my nurses that took care of me today left me a card in my go home bag I blown away.

My family has had the BEST experience, Victoria and Prisca have been so kind and attentive with my Dad’s care around the clock. Victoria & Britney Jones in nutrition have been phenomenal in helping us adjust during his time here. The nurses are wonderful here and we've received the best care by far! Prisca is very passionate and caring, I'm so glad they're taking care of my family.

Linda, Annie,and Kristi, were awsome and very attentive.My mother had a gallbladder removal and the baylor team was awsome!

My sister just had a total knee replacement this morning. From the time we walked in the door until we were assisted to the car to take her home, we encountered nothing but professional, kind, compassionate, competent, friendly people. This was as good as a medical experience can get. All the pre-op team, post op and step down, OT/PT staff was fantastic. Annie (PACU) and Kathy B (step down) were above and beyond. I was a nurse for 43 years. I know a great team. The hospital is beautiful. Cafe was nice. Escort to the car was caring and friendly. I would come there again.

I had a good experience. The check in person and the nurses were very friendly and made me feel cared for.

I was in the ER last night and I would like to note that the nursing staff was BY FAR the nicest I have ever met. I would like to shout out Nurse Vanessa D and Nurse Hailey, I believe her last name started with an M? She said she was a recent grad from Charleston. Working the night shift in the ER, I can only imagine the things they see and deal with, and it takes a special kind of person to have this be their career and to receive people and care for them when they are at their worst. Nurse Vanessa was so humble and down to earth, I asked her a question about how come the needle in my IV doesn’t poke through my arm, and she took the time to demonstrate to me that there isn’t a needle, it’s just a small soft tube. I thought it was really nice she took the time to do that when I’m sure she was super busy. It shows she is passionate about what she does and cares about patient education. Nurse Hailey was one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She has an amazing bedside manner and her presence when she walks in the room is just warm and fuzzy like sunshine and butterflies. I wish her the best in her career. Dr. Smith was also great. Most doctors are so strict and dry, but he was cool, calm, collected and eager to answer all and any questions.

Now, was I there in the ER for a long time? Yes. But, I would like to say to the patients and people who complain about the wait times and such, please remember that the hospital staff are HUMANS too. They’re literally awake overnight on 12hr shifts working to do their best for everyone. Please allow them some grace. I understand that we are probably tired and in pain, but regardless as patients we have to continue to uplift our nurses & doctors & healthcare providers because their job is hard too. Burn out is real and I can only imagine how it must feel to be doing your best for a patient only for them to leave a bad review regarding something as petty as wait time. I’m sure if they were to speed things up then people would complain that they felt their provider was “in a rush” and “not thorough enough.” Please also keep in mind room and staff shortages. In summary, give them some grace people!

I like this location because it is closest to where I live. They seem to care about all people of different ethnic backgrounds, and I can appreciate that. They get pretty busy, but it doesn't mean that they are purposely taking their time to get to you, or get back to you. The nurses and the doctors that I and my family members have encountered on the night shifts are very nice and pleasant! The service is good. If they are not certain of what is going on with your symptoms, they will refer you to other specialists that may be more likely to know.

Dr. Freudigman is a wonderful Orthopedic doctor. The staff is great. Everyone is so nice and professional.

I went in for one problem major pain and Dr.D found another concern major ..Nurse Kaylee Nurse Kimberly Nurse Omari were amazing thank you ..as well as the cat scan nurse day shift

My brother was in the ICU for 2 weeks and the staff did a fantastic job. Big thank you to everyone involved and huge thank you to the nurses and respiratory techs.

Had a spectacular experience the last week with my grandmother. Courtney in the ER hold area was absolutely amazing! So genuine, so sweet, and always kept us informed. Made it up to the 5th floor and was lucky enough to have the same nurse and tech for the 2-3 days my grandmother was there. Courtlyn the nurse was incredibly sweet, felt like we knew her forever. Leisa, the tech was amazing too. We got incredibly lucky with this duo. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience under the circumstances. We felt like everyone who cared for my grandmother treated us exactly like we were apart of the family. Great staff here. From the secretary, to the doctors, nurses, techs, and case management! Thank you all a million times for helping make an emotional time something we will cherish forever!

Had both my children here. Most recently a couple weeks ago. My nurse Staci was so amazing. She was so respectful of my birth plan and helped me get through having my baby naturally (no epidural). She did all she could to make me comfortable. Their lactation consultant, Monika, is also amazing. She is such an expert and so much fun. And the hospital stay after was great. They sent us home with a Nothing Bunt Cake and even sent a card later with my baby’s footprints. Overall, great experience!
