I have been going to see him for years. He is knowledgeable and caring. He listens to you and ask questions to get all information needed to make a sound diagnosis of your issues. Never rushing you out of the office in 5 minutes to get to next patient. All of these amazing qualities in todays world is priceless. Thank you Dr. Wilkinson.

Dr. Wilkerson is a well-respected and compassionate primary care physician. However, the unprofessional conduct of his staff is a cause for concern. They have a tendency to rush patients off the phone by attempting to insert words into their conversations and abruptly disconnecting the call while the patient is still speaking. Additionally, they are negligent in handling urgent referral requests, necessitating the intervention of the patient's insurance company. This behavior not only reflects poorly on Dr. Wilkerson's practice but also jeopardizes patient retention, as individuals are unlikely to tolerate such treatment for an extended period.

I was a patient of Dr. Wilkerson's for a few years. Dr. Wilkerson himself is a great doctor, his staff is a totally different story. I had quite a few bad experiences with the staff. They are very rude and disrespectful as well. I'll start with my most recent experience with them but I have since changed my primary care physician from Dr. Wilkerson to another PCP. I was admitted into an impatient rehabilitation facility for about a week. I was told by my doctor in this facility that I needed to follow up with Dr. Wilkerson as he was my PCP at the time. I called Dr. Wilkerson's office as I was instructed to do. As I'm explaining why I'm calling, one of his staff members tells me that all the doctors is going to do is update my chart. I began to explain to her again why I'm calling and that I need an appointment to follow up with him. She was very rude and cut me off and told me again that he was just going to update my chart. So I asked her was she going to make the appointment or not. Again she was very rude and repeated herself again. I then told her that I would just change my PCP then. Her response was "you can do that". Then she hung up in my face. The bad experience I had before that was when I called to make an appointment with him because I was deemed permanently disabled and that I quality for a handicap placard. I called Dr. Wilkerson's office to see how to go about getting this taken care of. The person that answered the phone told me that I would need to make an appointment to see him in order to obtain the paperwork. She makes my appointment which was about a week later. When I arrive for my appointment, once I was called to the exam room, one of his staff members ask me why did I come to doctor Wilkerson for the paperwork, that the doctor that was to perform my upcoming hip replacement should have given me the paperwork. I simply asked for my copay to be refunded and I would go back to that doctor. She immediately changed attitudes and did her part. Dr. Wilkerson came in and I asked him was I wrong in coming to him for this paperwork and he said no, and gave me the Rx and sent me on my way. I could go on and on about the nasty attitudes that his staff has. I will mention one that I experienced while in the waiting room. And older gentleman was at the window when I walked in. He was having a conversation with the woman behind the desk, it was something about his insurance and he asked her a simple question. She had a very nasty attitude with him and said "well you didn't say that before". She then slammed the sliding glass closed in his face. He turned to me and asked me did I see that. And of course I told him I did, and that his staff members always have nasty attitudes. I loved Dr. Wilkerson as my PCP, but his staff members seems to be bipolar or something. Not making fun of bipolar disorder at all, but there seems to be something mentally wrong with them. They can be rude towards you and within 1 minute, they will totally change to being very nice, and vice versa.

this physician and his extremely rude staff deserve less than a 1 start. the work ethic of his office place residents at risk for faults in continuity of care and rehospitalization. I wouldn't send my worst enemy into this predicament.
