Turner Hardware

Always neat to take friends in to this store, as they have the things you used to find in Hardware stores "of the past". Big box stores carry mainstream items mostly which is good but this store is just a reminder of days past. Neat to look around too. They were the only place I could find a large metal funnel for my Halloween outfit of a "Tin Man"........ everyone els had plastic ones. But seen other things there that are hard to find as well. Worth the trip. Even have things outside to look at, dare I say yard art, haa.

This place is great. It's the sort of hardware store where you can find some weird out-of-production drawer slide or unusual hinge that you'd never find at the big box stores (or if you did, it would be junk).
They have a lumberyard too, and unlike most places will cut plywood for you: a huge time saver. The employees vary wildly in their actual knowledge of hardware (if someone can't help you, ask someone else) but they're all pleasant and seem to enjoy their work.

Love this place Turner had everything and lots of extra and hard to find items, coming back here. It remind me of Ace hardware on steroids. Lol!

Needed washer for bathtub faucet. Joe found it for us almost immediately. Will return for future hardware needs. Other staff friendly and helpful.

Really good alternative to the big box hardware stores. They will have more things here that you will not find at home depot/Lowe's. Prices are fair. This place is a little tight due to their location, but the staff is really helpful.

This place is a great hardware store it has tons of things you most likely won't find anywhere else. Fair prices too!

I really like this hardware/lumber store on the Hempstead Hwy @ W. 34th St. They have been in business for 70 years!

They have the largest selection of Case pocket knives I have ever seen (see photos).

You can find any size and grade of screws,nuts, bolts and washers. They have two fully stocked nail bin carousels. Most common nails are $2.00 a pound.

There is a huge selection of hand tools. You can find just about any item for all of the building trades. They also sell lumber.

The store is well staffed with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful associates.

This is probably one of the last gems in a city were corporate retail and online goods have replaced genuine business-costumer care. Santi was helpful and went above and beyond to assist me, the store provides comfort and reassurance. Thank you!!

This store is a treasure House of stuff. They have at least one of everything & very pleasant & helpful staff.
You will need a guide to find stuff only because their inventory is superb.
You won't walk out empty-handed

Turner Hardware has absolutely earned our business for a couple of reasons. Their staff is absolutely outstanding, help is always there when you walk in the door and they seem to pretty much always have what is required. My father told me about them in the 80's and I have been going there every since, there has only been 3 occasions in 40 years that they didn't have what I needed. Now that is impressive!

Best hardware store in town! Among the staff I have always found considerable wisdom and useful insights as well as inventory selection which will not be found at any of the big box stores. The cashiers always have a lovely disposition which means that I've never left without a smile.

Check out the old rifles on display there too. Very cool. They also have knives & cutlery. Wish they were open on Saturday

The only hardware store I know where I can walk in not knowing what I need and walk out with the right thing. Their employees really know their business and the have everything any reasonable person could want. I have been coming here for 20 years and the experience is consistently amazing. Cannot recommend this store more strongly!

1st time I went I bought a bench made. They were very knowledgeable in knives. 2nd and 3rd time went for a couple of screws and bolts to replace things at the house. Again very helpful and knowledgeable in getting what you need. Stop by if you need any help.

I love this place. Old hardware store feeling....Shelves laid out well, good inventory, knowledgable staff to assist me. Clyde and Richard are always willing to help me find that "hard to find" item.

Oh I love coming here. It's tight, cozy and clustered, bordering on cluttered, but they'll help the hell out of you if you need some parts and when they don't have it, they're nice enough to point you in the right direction every time. Great staff great variety good prices.

This a REAL hardware store! They have all of the stuff that the big box stores leave out, and they *know their products*. And when *they* make a copy of a key, it works *exactly* like the original. You will almost never come away empty-handed, and if that happens, you'll probably come away knowing where to find what you need.

Been shopping here for years and years. This is a legit old school hardware store like I grew up with. If you're tired of being ignored at the big box stores or people not knowing duct tape from a drill bit, this is the place to go.

This is the first time I have rated a location especially since the net knows my activity, however this store is everything you might need that places like home Depot and others like Lowe's don't carry. A true American hardware store with knowledgeable help
