Delightful Daycare! Always friendly teachers and staff. Great structure and schedule. The owners Linda and Ted are very caring and welcoming. They have a covered pool and offer swim lessons too. My kids enjoyed attending this daycare.

My son has special learning needs and receives the best care from the entire team of professional teachers and day care providers at Ragsdill even though they are a mainstream program. After trying two other schools in the area we landed at Ragsdill and it has been a Godsend. My son is thriving and is given the additional time and patience he needs to continue learning and growing. It’s a safe, warm welcoming place. He doesn’t cry or complain most mornings which was always a problem before. Monday’s are always a little rough but I find the earlier he arrives the better. His teacher and. Andrea is sweet, understanding, kind, patient and very honest. She like myself is Caribbean and I find her demeanor to be direct and warm but very honest. I get real feedback daily. She cares. Everyone cares. The food and kitchen manager and Ms. Ramona is so sweet and my little one really likes her. The Director Ms. Glenda is very actively involved and well aware of goings on. I am so happy with Ragsdill. The prices are resonable, there is an amazing green space and playground for the kids to wear themselves out in the back, a community chicken so they learn about animals and the facilities are clean. My child is so happy. He comes home exhausted and that’s a great thing with a toddler.

If you live or work in Spring Branch area, the location is great.
The good: The staff are kind, nice and professional. It is very clear they love their jobs and the kids. When I ask my daughter what she likes about her school, she names her teachers by name. That makes this mom very happy. The hours - if you work early or late, this is great at it is 6:30am - 6:30pm. The outside has a lot of play area for the children. The open concept. I think it allows for accountability. I also like that ballet and tumbling comes to the kids. I haven't been able to experience the swim school but I like that my child has the option to take swim lessons in the summer. They are honoring my request to not feed certain things to my daughter. The communication line is pretty effective. Between the director and the teachers, I feel well informed as to what is happening with my child and within the school.

The bad: I don't like their food options. It seems like the kids mostly eat carbs and sugar and they won't allow parents to bring their own food. I understand the reason but it's difficult to teach my child healthy eating habits at home when most of her meals a week are not very healthy. After 5:30pm, instead of having the kids play outside, they watch tv. Our kids don't watch tv during the week but my daughter now cries when I pick her up early because she has gotten so addicted to tv that she rather be in school than go home because she gets to watch tv. The other issue with the movies they watch, they watch things that work for the different age groups instead of what the youngest person should be allowed to watch. My 3yr old should not be watching PG movies or shows. My other concern, they didn't have the capability to help with potty training my daughter who was potty trained except during nap time but I was asked to bring in pull-ups because her accidents were not sanitary for them. I understand why they did it but it sets us backwards to what we are trying to do at home.

Started off well but eventually devolved into a shady business. When the children complain about being punched in the face and choked by classmates but the business won't inform you or document the issue it begins to get suspicious. No cameras, no documentation, poor learning environment but they have a pool so it makes up for it. They are other, cheaper and far superior options nearby, take a look elsewhere if you love your child.
