After weeks of delays (at no fault to title company), we were finally set to close on the property on July 24. My realtor told the title company on July 16 to go ahead and order the survey and that he would guarantee it. Well, title company forgot to call my realtor back stating he needed to do that himself because its a policy of their's to not order surveys that aren't set to close. So, the title company ended up waiting 5 days to order the survey and now the survey is expected back 5 days after the close is supposed to happen. I was just made aware of this today, supposed to be closing tomorrow. So now we have to delay the close again in addition to about $2,800 in rental revenue I have to cancel for a stay that was supposed to happen at the property. These are little details that can't be overlooked when trying to purchase a house and they failed to be properly thorough.

No customer service. Good luck getting a call back. Put off my buyers closing for a week. They need 2 days after receiving closing documents to close!! Was told they were to busy to work on our file but refused us the opportunity to do a courtesy close at another Stewart title that had time for us.This was after we had to find a surveyor because theirs couldn't get out. Real Estate agents in my opinion in should steer clear.

I had to troubleshoot every step of the process with this title company. A cash purchase should be straightforward. They were requesting for me to sign documents for things that were not even explained. They also wanted me to sign for documents that were wrong. And to end the transaction they accepted a check for me that was not a cashiers check as requested and had the incorrect name.

There are many other quality title companies in the Houston metro area. Stay away from this one.

Terrible customer service! Rude and Arrogant not to mention sold a property for cash and the bank put 14 day holds on all the checks from the title company. We have received personal checks for more and never had a hold that long put on them. Beware! Pay to have funds wired to your account from them if you use them which I would not recommend.

Lack of knowledge, slow, very arrogant. Every thing you would expect from a title company, they don't have it there. Not recommend at all.

So unorganized and not the friendliest. Totally ruined my first time buyer experience.
