Porter's Pools

I just purchased a new pool (online) and went into Porters to get chemicals to get started. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Even carried the boxes to my car. I look forward to dealing with them for all my pool needs.

We bought a little (14') above ground pool for our 4 year old this summer from Walmart. They have helped up get the RUST out (when u have iron and add chlorine it does that) they went over all of our options for keeping the pool chemicals regulated, they covered cost, safeness and effectiveness with me. I took a sample in and they ran it to figure out exactly what I needed to add. Within a hour, I had a clear pool and was swimming. Overall great experience!

I've gone by the store 3 times and left my name and number each time. At this point, I still haven't recieved a call from the person who is supposed to be able to help me. Frustrating! The women in the store are very nice though.

The original appointment was great, they did a good job.

Pump is leaking less than a year later, and was stored correctly. Called the owner multiple times and can barely get a response on how to fix it.

It seems like the company could benefit from some help with more than just one person that knows what they are doing.

when I ordered the hot tub all went well. when I got a leak I called for 3 weeks and nobody knew or cared I just got matt is not here. I assume no messages were given to him or he just didn't return my call. I called there 6 times in 3 weeks talking to 2 different people. finally I called the company that made the hot tub and they took care of it at no charge to me. I usually don't do reviews that are not good but this was really not right to do to a customer giving no response at all.

If I could I would prefer to rate this business with a negative number, based on my personal experience with him in the past! It is a shame that someone owning a business of this nature in this community is unaware of how great he could be doing if he had values that assured good customer service and fair pricing. (Emphasis on customer service) Sadly I am aware of others who have similar experiences with them!

Review written for my sister. - Matt was contracted to find and repair a leak up to the point the pool was running and the robot could continue the job of clearing the winter debris. Knowing the concrete would need repair, Matt said his Dad would repair the concrete.

Matt cut up the concrete said he found a leak and said he repaired it. Since we needed to add water prior to running the pool, we paid him and completed filling the pool, trusting the job would be done or continued if not done properly.

Matt unfortunately had left the cut-concrete sitting on the desk, didn't hook up power to the pump and didn't test the system. His 'Dad', claimed ignorance on concrete repairs

We tested the system and found it didn't work as it still has a leak. Called Matt - Said he would show up, in a few weeks.
Complained heavily, finally said he would be back in a week.
He came back but didn't look at the pool to see why it was leaking.
Had to call AGAIN!

Found Matt working on a neighbors pool, asked him to stop by and complete the job. He stopped by, checked skimmer and a single jet and then slipped off without talking. Had to find him, again, and ask why it still blew bubbles and only 1 jet worked. Matt acted like he was being bothered and walked away without answering the questions.

Horrible service, horrible communication and complete lack of professionalism.

One of the worst place I have shopped with. I Only go there if desperate. Place is run by somebody kids. It’s like going to McDonald’s they may get it right or may not. Over priced, not very knowledgeable. Close at 3pm Saturday during pool season! I wrote this on behalf of my 4th try there. I tried to like them but they fail every time.
