Great Wolf Lodge | Illinois

This place is so much fun! First of all, Giselle checked us in and that lady’s energy was so calm and inviting. We were freaking out about checking in because my sister forgot her wallet and Giselle was so calm and so helpful. We got it all worked out and even got to check in early! Giselle was the epitome of great customer service and it’s so nice when you have someone like that in moments of high anxiety. The rooms are amazing. All the extra amenities are awesome and pretty close together so it’s not too much walking. I will definitely be coming here again.

I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was clean and our daughter had a blast. Love that the water park is opened until 8pm and everything else is opened until 10pm. The next day we had late checkout and spent some more time at the water park. Staff was friendly. Will definitely come again!

We stayed 1 night, my husband, 17 year old son, and I. We had fun! All the employees were nice and friendly. Room was clean. My favorite was how warm the water was, I've been to a few other indoor water parks and the water is always cold. So that was a huge plus for me. Food prices were very high but that's every water Park, and was expected. But there is a lot of places nearby outside of the water park to eat at. The only suggestion is it would be nice if you guys added a Jacuzzi in there. Oh yeah another plus is the room key is wired in the wristband, so not having to remember to grab that every time we left the room was pretty nice.

So we brought out 20month old son to this water park and I can't explain the happiness in the face of our son. He had and amazing time ans love the slow river. Toddler splash section water was a bit cold but everything else was perfect.

Went for a one night stay to celebrate my son’s birthday.
We didn’t buy any of the packages, but the availability of having the option was really nice.
Everything so was clean.
The Wolf pass was a great deal and we should have stretched our stay to not have to cram it all in one afternoon, but we had plenty of time for all the activities with a minimal wait time.
I was really impressed by the staff, and how kid friendly everything was.
Two big things that I really enjoyed — no cash on the premises, and the key to your room is in the rfid chip within the wristband.

For a weekend stay it was busy but still enjoyable, and we will def book another trip here in the future!

We checked in and out with Emma, and she is amazing! Seriously, the best! She caught a charge that shouldn't have been on our room and took care of it right there. We bought the Adventure Pass paid for it when we got there and made sure wristbands could not be used to charge to room. Every staff member we talked to was amazing. Our boys even made friends with the lifeguards and goofed off with them and knew them by 1st name.

There are signs around the parking lot that tells you how to pay for parking.

Overall the kids had a blast!

Registration was fast. Really friendly staff. Room was clean. Excellent service and food at Barn wood restaurant. My wife, my two girls and I had a great time at the pools. It’s the second time we go there and we will definitely go back soon.

This place is just lovely! Very clean, amazing staff (Shout out to Emily who went above and beyond at our check in and then also the next day making sure everything was amazing!). The food is good, the resort is clean, and the water park is clean. The lifeguards are VERY serious about watching and checking even though it was not too busy this time of year but are also very friendly. Families were still having tons of fun. We did not bring kids, but as adults we had a lot of fun on slides, wave pool, and walking around enjoying the holiday decorations and fireplace!

I only used their day pass for the water park. But great indoor fun for kids. Only 30 mins from Lake Zurich. Lots of options to eat. Cabanas are difficult to find the same day so book well in advance.

First let me say don't read reviews online about this place besides the good ones!! I had completely the wrong notice going into this. So many bad reviews from all the wrong people. So I plan to bring my daughter here a year ago but had to cancel due to certain events. So I was given a credit that had to be used with in a year. Upon rebooting for her birthday this year I was pleasantly surprised that the grizzly bear deluxe was hundreds of dollars cheaper so I added two pup passes, which was great for my 5 year old and 2 year old. Upon checking in we went to the water park. Now all the reviews online said the cabanas were not necessary!!! Lie number one. Get a cabana....doesn't matter if you are rich or poor that's the best bag for your buck trust me. Not extremely hard to find seating but it was. Didn't matter to the kiddos though they had a great time. 6 hours later our room is ready at about 4. Now I've been to resorts where they advertise beautiful rooms and then put you in roach motel status but this place lived up to the hype!!! Even the jacuzzi bath was real and not just advertising scam!!! Really enjoyed the stay and I'm telling try it out before listening to the wrong people like what I almost did!! 😉

Great experience for our 1 and 4 year olds. The water park was clean and all the workers were friendly, yet took pool safety serious. The food was slightly overpriced, but worth the convenience of not loading up the car to get food. The app and text alerts make ordering food seamless. Will be back in the future.

Krystal at the front desk in the evenings is amazing. She is fast friendly and actually takes time to get to know the guests checking in. She is willing to help with anything or questions you might have. She also has great recommendations for what to do and see at the park. Thanks for being so kind and taking such good care of our pack!

Ella in the entertainment! Her pure energy at the dance last night was amazing! Very very well done! 👏 the guy she was with too! Just as High energy! We had such a blast for one night.

A great spot for an overnight getaway, especially during the winter months. Me & my girls had a great time at the water park. I can see that they expanded to include more slides and a wave pool since it used to be Key Lime Cove. They also added an adventure park and climbing wall as well as a Wizard Quest section. There are also more restaurants available than before. We went on a Monday / Tuesday during Thanksgiving break. The place was not too packed, and we were able to go on all the slides with minimal wait. We had a cupped pepperoni pizza from the pizza shop that we took back to our room. The only drawback for me was the price of the arcade games. You have to buy points to play, and even the cheapest games end up being almost $2 per play. I have 3 kids, so we had to skip this part, to their dismay. I would have easily spent a ton of money trying to keep them entertained in this spot for an hour. Instead we opted for the climbing wall. The people working the area let them try as many times as they wanted until more people came, which I appreciate because it tired my girls out before bedtime. Towels are provided at the water park.

Went for the weekend with friends and our families. The kids had a blast. They loved the water park and when they got tired of that they were running around playing the MagiQuest game. We ate outside the resort for the most part. Bring stuff to drink water, juice boxes, adult beverages, buying stuff to drink there is a little crazy. It was a great little weekend away and I would go back again.

We loved our first experience at the Great Wolf Lodge. Originally, we heard that food prices were outrageously priced and weren’t sure what to expect, but another family we trusted visited and loved it and told us the experience. The food was higher than what you can get outside, and the souvenir shop was very reasonably priced. What you get with the hotel room and waterpark, it actually works out to be a good deal in general. It is a family adventure place where the waterpark is the main attraction with wolves being the big theme. We loved our experience and loved having wristbands that doubled up as a method of payment and room keys.

I took my niece with my boyfriend as an early birthday gift. Let me just say it is totally worth the money. The staff are so helpful, the public events such as dance parties and trick or treating for Halloween, the room was spotless and smelled very clean, everything was just amazing. My niece said in the lazy River “it feels magical here” and it really does. Alex in magi quest and host to the obstacle course was so kind and sweet to my niece, and Liz was phenomenal with her entertainment in the dance party, I think they all deserve a raise for what they do. They both went all out to make it a good experience for the kids. I’m so happy with everything involved in our stay not a single complaint whatsoever. The food is also reasonable pricing, and the environment is so cozy.Also, when you check out you can access the water park still, and do all the events and activities as long as you’re out of the room and the staff holds on to your luggage until you’re ready to leave, which I thought was amazing cuz there’s just so much to do. We checked out at 2pm and just felt we didn’t have enough time and wanted to stay and do more and we were more than welcome and that was so nice. Thank you for making our stay absolutely amazing !

My family and I had an amazing trip to the great wolf lodge in Gurnee IL! We had never been before and didn't quite know what to expect and they did a wonderful job ensuring that all our needs were taken care of and we had a blast while there as well! The kids loved mining for gems and the rock wall as well as the ropes course! We also enjoyed the arcade and bowling and the wonderful buffett breakfast!And of course we all enjoyed the swimming! Food was great and the beverages were as well! Will definitely come again for another fun filled family vacation!

Best water park in Chicagoland! We went with a group of families with kids aging from 7-12. The water park itself is huge, with 7 different water slides. It was safe enough to let the kids roam free in the park, and there were enough things for them for two days. Although we didn't participate, they have several free and paid activities to do with the family for all ages. Also, we forgot a cell phone in our room, and the security team was awesome, and had it mailed back to us in a matter of minutes!! Cudis to them. We can't wait to go back!
