Mr. Mike's Place

We stop whenever we near here, mainly for the fantastic french fries. The beef/Italian sausage combo is a meal and a half. They even offer a ½ size beef sandwich! Personally I go for the great hot dogs with the toppings of my choice. The fried cauliflower and other share one bites are fantastic. Even if you have to go out of your way stop in I can tell you it's worth it! It's family owned and run which makes the service even friendlier.

Cute, old-fashioned hammer shack right on the Illinois River. It's not much inside, but there is plenty of outdoor seating. And it's got a fabulous view.

Always great food and friendly service, Mr Mikes has been a gem on the water for decades. Recommend the Chicago Dog, Italian beef and tenderloin, paired with cheese fries, of course.

Mr. Mikes has always been my favorite little restaurant on the river 🥰 best cheesy beef’s EVER! Best chicken strips!!!! Ali and her gang are amazing! Always super friendly! Very reasonably priced for a family of 6!

I had a Chicago style hot dog and my husband had Italian Beef. All was very good. Also the best fries I have ever had!! Great view of the Illinois River from tables outside

Ordered the combo beef & sausage and the jalapeño mac and cheese bites. Very delicious. Service was good and quick. Food was hot and fresh.

I have been going here since I was able to eat solid food, it has always been good and the chili cheese dogs and Italian beef are my favorite. I'm a big fan of cheese if you can't tell. It's just so good and a great comfort food place.

Mason and lex have fantastic customer service. The food is great they make sure the food is done right and done on time. The food is fantastic. I get the Italian beef and the chicken tender. I will take my parents here for sure. I will definitely be going back for sure.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight and oh man was it good. The guy who took the order was extremely friendly. 2 meals were done in 10 minutes and were hot and fresh. Definitely will return

I grew up in this town and Mr mikes has always been a well loved place. Our favorite thing to eat from there are the big beefs (Italian beef) great service. Great food. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

Love stopping by here on a motorcycle ride,I live in Peoria and don't get out this way a whole lot but when I do I make sure to stop for a cheesy Italian beef and fries. Delicious! They have some other good food there but due to not being able to get there to often I stick with the beef! Mr Mike and his wife were always super pleasant when they owned it,the place has switched hands and they have changed the appearance of the place,looks nice. Kinda small inside but they do offer outdoor seating for the nicer weather. If you haven't been it's a must.

It really doesn't get any better than this. All fresh food made to order. Tastes amazing I had gyro special and a pizza puff. They were both out of this world. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Great food fast service!! Must try the cheesy beef worth ever penny!! Kids love the corn dogs and it has a beautiful river view with a park basically in the parking lot.

Was pretty busy. With that service was fast .Menu is big and good selection. This is more of a carry out place but does have seats inside and outside. My iltalian sandwich was great.

Traveling repairman who tries to frequent the "local spots" I rate this a 5 star place for good local cafe food. And a wide menu. I tried the cheesy beef with fries and coleslaw it was a good choice and plenty of food for the money. Service was quick and friendly. Quick turn around on making the order and a quaint place to meet. It's nice that the park is beside the parking lot and perfect view of the illinois river. Most importantly the establishment is LOCALLY OWNED and OPERATED by what appears to be conscious business owners. Will definitely be stopping back when I'm back in the area.
