The Quarry

The Quarry restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary, offering a wonderful atmosphere, exceptional service, and definitely deserving of Michelin stars. Marilou and her husband are incredibly sweet; they always give attention to all the guests, creating a unique and pristine experience. I absolutely loved every course served; the flavors were impeccable, and each dish was prepared with evident passion and care. We dined at the restaurant for two consecutive nights, and if it were possible, we would have happily extended our stay to three days and included a brunch. They are also participating in the James Beer contest, and we wish them the best of luck in winning. It would undoubtedly be a well-deserved achievement.

Beautifully delicious cuisine. Chef prepared extravagant creations full of color and flavor. Exceptional service, high quality ingredients. By far one of the best places to eat in New England! Worth the drive!!! We can't wait to go back. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

We had a delicious brunch with a large group (8), and they were very accommodating. The experience was unrushed, totally casual and unpretentious, and the food was delicious! The chef and owner came and sat with us for a while to talk about our experience and the food, which was a great added bonus. We'll definitely be back for dinner!

Great meal. Cost $105 per person for the food, a set menu with a few choices for app, entree and dessert. Nice atmosphere. Not at all busy on a winter evening. They have one seating per night, with staggered entry at 6 or 630. The entire meal took a little over 3 hours.

Heard about this out of the way place on CBS Saturday and we decided to take the drive of 3 hours and visit The Quarry in moose territory in Monson Maine. The chef was charming and very talented. She visited every table at the end of the meal. Six delicious courses - the baked brie tart with fresh figs was a standout for me and the pumpkin soup was delicious.

Really good food. Thought it was worth it. The vibe and the ambiance along with the friendliness of the staff. Flavors were very unique; almost like a fusion. Only thing was I thought the desserts could be better.

This is a gem of a place! The owners are fantastic! This is best dining experience in the region, with the friendliest staff, most delicious food and best atmosphere to enjoy such gourmet food! We will definitely return again and again.

Monson Maine is privileged to have such a fine dining restaurant. The food is spectacular, Chef is personable and talented, and the waitstaff attentive and knowledgeable. Their is something for everyone on the Prix Fixe Menu. You won't leave hungry.

Outstanding dining experience. Cannot recall a meal as well executed as this and in such a hospitable environment!! From the ambiance, decor and Maine photographs, welcoming staff and chef Lulu to the innovative cocktails (smoked gin & tonic) and delicious courses, tailored to dietary needs. The Quarry is the kind of place you will remember, tell stories about and want to return to over and over again. Worthy of 10 stars.

The best meal I’ve had in years… Actually in my life! She has a gift and it’s worth the drive from Portland, that’s for sure!!

It is hard to believe this resturant is in Monson, Me!!!! The food, the atmosphere, the staff and the chef, Lou Lou were all exceptional. The angus beef filets were tender with wonderful taste, the honey glazed salmon succulent atop perfectly done risotto. A complmentary glass of muscat to sip with our creme brulee and chocolate moose was a great way to top off a wonderful dinning experience. It was an experience.

Incredible place! Food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The chef was incredible with cooking and making you feel welcomed. She came around and took time to say hi to everyone after she was finished cooking, best experience I’ve had at a restaurant.

Always an amazing meal. They adapt to any dietary needs (and make AMAZING gluten free popovers)! The space is beautiful, and so cozy!

The Quarry was a truly fantastic dining experience. The lamb was absolutely delicious and tender. My mouth is watering as I type this. My husband's favorite part of the meal was the creme brûlée, and let me tell you he doesn't even like sweets very much. Lulu is so generous with her portions, that at one point we joked that we could have shared one. What a wonderful place, and the finishing touch was that Lulu came out to interact with us and even shared dessert sake with us. What a gem. Highly recommend!

Lulu and Family @ At The Quarry (LLC), graciously hosted our wedding reception dinner. My summary: the food - flawless, the staff - amazing, the ambiance - breathtaking. Needless to say, Lulu has built something grand within the heart of this small town.

The highlight of the night is when Lulu served us luscious fillet minion with bourbon glaze that leaves you dreaming for more. Every bite was so good. Her creme brulee was out-of-this-world creamy perfection on a ramekin. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was well thought out and executed. Her passion as a chef shows in her work and I love taking every bite.

Lulu, and Family, went above and beyond for us (hosting us on her day off) and we couldn't have asked for a better host to make our special day an unforgettable one. She was the highlight of our night and we love her dearly. Can't wait to see her and her family again!

P.S. Lulu embodies the hard working Filipinos and she makes me proud to be one.

What a Gem!
I was so curious about a this cute restaurant that was reservation only?? We made a reservation for the following night, and had the most amazing 5 course dinner. It is only prix fixed with a choices on main & dessert.
We were blown away! It was by far the Best Meal we had in Maine, Lulu the owner/chef is part culinary genius & part molecular scientist.
Each course is beautifully presented & Wonderfully tasty. She was so warm, attentive & charming, she came by our table after every course. The desserts were out of this world.

A delightful find. Outstanding service, presentation, and cuisine! Lulu and Bill have made a fine dining spot in rural Maine. It's fine dining with a very homey feeling. The nicest people from the chef on down. We were very impressed, rivals any Boston restaurant I've ever frequented. I can't wait to go back.

Incredible! I’ve lived in many cities - Boston NYC Shanghai - and this meal is still one of the best I’ve had. If you are hoping for a unique, memorable, and high quality meal you will not be disappointed. Before the meal be sure to take a walk downtown viewing the art and photography gallery. It’s the perfect place for a special night out.

The Quarry is such a hidden gem in Monson! From start to finish this was the best meal my husband and I have ever eaten, and the experience beats any restaurant we have been to in Boston. The tuna tartare, butternut squash soup and halibut were some of the best we have ever eaten. To make it even better, Marilou, her family and her staff were amazing. So friendly and inviting.
We will definitely be returning!
