The coolest bookstore to find your favorite authors!! They have everything from hadcover books to record albums!! Harry will even do an extensive search to find what your looking for!! I love The Maine Bookhouse!!

Was headed towards the Oxford area and I didn't even know of a bookstore in this area until I googled it. I texted them first to see if they had what I was looking for. They immediately responded back to me. Great customer service to get such a quick response!!! We went the next day and got the HC book (Stephen King) that we were looking for and at a great price too! Thank you for the great customer service experience!!!! You are appreciated!

Amazing books and Albums

This is one of my favorite bookstores to visit each year! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it many years ago on our way up to Sunday River and have made it a tradition to come back once or twice a year. They have an incredible variety of books but the friendliness of the owners is the icing on the cake.

Lovely little stop for both old and new books. Found some classics for a steal! The place had a wonderful ambiance and made me want to stay far longer than I did. There is something about the experience and feel of a little book store that Amazon simply cannot replace.

LOVED this used books store!! Tons of inventory to browse with both older and contemporary authors. Owner was super accommodating and even stayed open so my sister and I could keep browsing! The prices are super cheap-most paperbacks were 1.50; an absolute steal!! I highly recommend checking this place out!

So many books! They also had a shed with more books for $1. I definitely recommend it.

My 1st trip, but definitely not my last, found so many treasures today. I love used bookstores! They're like little treasure trove's were you find hidden gems.

I love this bookstore! They have books of all sorts, from old to old and rare. But they also have some awesome modern books as well. The kids books are better from the early 1900s, they'll learn more parents, buy those.
Visit today, you wont be disappointed.

I visited this bookstore for the first time today and was immediately impressed with the selection and welcoming atmosphere. I was on the lookout for older books to read to nursing home patients and the owner dropped what he was doing and helped me make excellent and appropriate selections. When I went to the counter to pay, he donated the books to the cause. I was tremendously impressed and appreciated his generosity.

So many books and well organized!!

I’ve driven by this place several times and finally decided to stop and take a look. Ended up spending two hours looking through all the shelves and boxes.

The owner was very nice and helpful. And the whole shop felt warm and welcoming. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

It may take some searching if you're looking for something specific, but he has a wide variety of inexpensive books.

Lots of hidden gems in here. Tons of books and a good selection of old records too. If you're looking to sell records he says hes always buying. Really nice and helpful owner too!

Finding this place was a dream come true for our book loving family, so inviting. We went upstairs and found a real treasure! Natural light and cozy space, so thoughtfully done. It's difficult to find character and cleanliness together but they seemed to have mastered it skillfully. We happen upon many used book stores wherever we travel and without hesitation this one was the BEST ever! A+for atmosphere, book quality and no old book odors (: Awesome place. Wish we lived closer!

Best place in Maine to find literary treasures. This is a gem among stones in the Oxford area. It has everything from collectables to children's books. Please go and explore you will not be disappointed.

Wealth of a collection, including the little place outside the main place where anything you find *there* - is $1 - wow. Meanwhile, the "main house" is an adventure ta wander around - the things ya find, sometimes old, sometimes no longer printed... adventure the words and the writings, and the people are welcoming. Yeah, go adventure I suggest.

I love this bookstore! It has a great selection of books and great staff. If you love books this is the place to go! I bought a signed copy of Eragon here in great condition! I highly recommend Maine Bookhouse.

Great place with tons of books at great prices. A whole house full of books and constantly revolving stock. Also when I was there, there was a sale of $1 books, so snagged a bunch of those. If you love used book shopping, check this place out!
