Cole pine is one of the best hikes in the Enfield Canaan area. Would highly recommend it an easy to moderate hike that takes about 2-3 depending on how long you stay up at the pond. Bring a swim suit and be prepared to have an amazing time up there. There are a few places around the lake where you can relax and eat blueberries.

This short and beautiful trail is 1 mile uphill to Cole Pond. It's not an easy hike, but doable in under half an hour each way. The reward is the view of the clear pond and fly fishing if you are so inclined. Be warned, there's not much in the way of amenities at the base other than a pull-off area to park.

I love this little hike. The hike is moderate, yet short. Maybe only a mile to the top where the pond is. There's so many hidden gems up there too.

Beautiful hike in the woods that ends at a serene pond. Even saw a loon hanging out.

This trail is very well maintained and branches off to other trails in Eastman. We have hiked up to the pond in all seasons with our son and our dogs. It's about a mile long and makes you work for a little bit but nothing crazy. Trail is pretty busy with lots of dogs and people especially on nice summer weekends. Great swim spot.

A great hike to a quiet little pond. The trail is fairly short and doesn't gain much elevation, so it's perfect for beginners, people who are a little out of practice or people who are just looking for an easier hike.

Beautiful, casual walk with just a bit of incline at times. Great for all skill levels. Lovely pond area at the top. Trail head is very easy to find, right off the road.

I loved it! I went after winter to get exercise and it kicked my butt at first, but it's a nice workout and the payoff was definitely worth it! I took plenty of photos, so hopefully I can upload some at a later time. The parking wasn't ask that great, you had to park on the side of the road, and they are operating heavy machinery do you heard that at the beginning of the hike, but it was pretty quiet after you hiked for a bit.

Beautiful trail! Went the first weekend of May and it was muddy in some spots. Just a note: I wouldn't take this trail in anything but hiking boots or your feet are going to get soaked (glad I wasn't wearing tennis shoes even though this was a relatively easy climb).

Nice little hike to a beautiful natural spring fed pond. Peaceful. Great for a swim in the summer. Gorgeous in the fall. A diamond in the rough especially if you fly fish. I go as often as I can. At least a couple times a year. For the last 27 years. It's a definite must go do.

A family favorite. I have been hiking to the pond regularly for 40 plus years and it is still beautiful.
