I just want to make an appreciation post about an employee named Bart. I am new to fly fishing and was over looking at some flies trying to decide what to purchase. Bart approached me and asked some generic questions about what I was looking for or looking to do. Once I had expressed that I was new to fly fishing, Bart spent the next hour explaining all different things to help me to help me be more successful in my fishing endeavors. He was extremely kind and was clearly very interested in helping me. He didn’t have to go out of his way to help me like that but he did, and it was extremely appreciated. I will definitely be returning to the Princeton Orvis. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Went into Orvis today. Had questions about their fishing rods. Andy, the in-house expert, was really knowledgeable. He even addressed points that I hadn't even considered. Will absolutely return.

I’ve been shopping here for several years. Orvis clothes are timeless and indestructible. They run some great sales from time to time.
The store personnel are great. First there was Marsha - always helpful. Now Simone is the go to gal to help you find what works for you.
Overall great people and a great product!

Went to Princeton Orvis shop with a buddy for their free Fly Fishing 101 class recently. That's right, the awesome team at the shop there will teach you everything you need to know about casting/line management/knots/etc/etc to get out the water the same day and catch your first fish on a fly rod (we did exactly that). Bruce, Bart, and Fritz were beyond helpful and attentive in sharing their deep experience and passion for the sport with the class, which generously lasted well over 2 hours. After the class, we stuck around for further discussion and Bart worked with me and my friend 1 on 1 to help us build out an initial arsenal of flies and a few other odds and ends to help us be more efficient/effective out on the water. At 9 am that day neither one of us could cast a fly rod but with help of the Orvis team we had both caught 5+ fish each by about 3:30 that same afternoon (bass and bluegill). If you are an angler who likes to support local businesses that know what they are doing, definitely give these guys a visit. Even though Orvis is a pretty big/recognizable brand, this shop and the level of knowledge, experience, and customer service you'll find there feels more like a family owned tackle shop. This is not a big box/retail store that lacks personality to say the least, and I look forward to my next visit. I live an hour away and will still definitely be back soon!

Hands down - the staff here are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. I only visit this store once or twice a year to get birthday/holiday gifts for my husband, and they are consistently so helpful and kind every single time. My most recent experience was with Steve and Bruce. They helped me with an order I placed online for pick up but then failed to pick up in time. Nonetheless, there was no hesitation in their willingness to find my item as soon as I got there. I left the store feeling great! True customer service is at Orvis of Princeton for sure!

Walked in for an hour long educational experience thanks to Bruce. Wow. I can not wait for Fly Fishing 101 in March 2022. God willing I fall in love with this sport like I really really want to. You want to see great customer service - go meet Bruce in the Princeton New Jersey Orvis.

I shop at the Orvis-Princeton Store frequently, and have always had a positive experience due to their friendly, helpful sales staff. From sending rods in for repair, helping with fishing equipment/clothing selections for myself & my family, to product returns -- Bruce, Jeanine, Rick, Simone, and John have always been there to help me. The Orvis Company has always been known for their outstanding customer service. The Orvis-Princeton store staff extends that customer service!

Tucked away in the Princeton shopping center a little fly fishing gem great knowledgeable staff very friendly the fly tying supplies covered the need for the current season. price point was fair for in store retail overall a very enjoyable experience

Really enjoy my semiannual visits here. Like their clothing line. Reasonably priced. If not in stock, they will have it delivered to your home. Dropped my husband in the fishing department. This kept him busy. Try it.

Excellent customer service. Sue was great over the phone and Jeannie assisted in the purchase of the Riverton Leather Jacket. Very friendly and made the exchange process so easy. Great store !!

Great store. Marsha helped me buy a Barbour jacket last year. I love wearing it so much that today we stopped in and she helped me buy a lining for it so I can wear it all winter.

Great customer service. Bruce (fly fishing pro) was full of helpful advice, and really providing me in the direction based on my needs. Will be visiting again soon!

Got my Orvis helios 3f and lots of other things here over time. Employees are nice and knowledgeable high quality products. Overall great place.
