Sip at 1620 Wine Bar

Been to 1620 Wine Bar a few times and it's never let us down. The wines are really well done, the atmosphere is very relaxing, great for a special date night, and the food is absolutely amazing. The owners are fantastically friendly as well, as we had the opportunity to join them for their valentine's day event last year in their event space! Their passion for the business has brought a great spot to the waterfront area for years along with a large event space in Cordage Park. Can't wait to visit the wine bar again soon!

Recently rebranded as Sip at 1620 Wine Bar - it really is a great spot to sip creative, well-balanced cocktails! Cozy atmosphere for winter with fireplace inside, and they have a big patio for summer. Nestled into the Shoppes at Village Landing, I stumbled upon it and it's worth wandering to find the entrance. Speakeasy vibes but not terribly hidden :) Friendly, attentive service and delicious tapas as well!

We literally travel to Plymouth just to come here. The atmosphere is incredible with a speak eazy vibe. The wine is delicious and made at 1620 winery down the road. The bartender is fantastic he makes the best drinks and recommends based on your taste. We had food for the first time and the pizza is great! I would love to keep this place all to myself but of course I have to share how wonderful it is!

This was our second time here, first of all you're greeted as if you're family when you walk into the main restaurant part of the wine bar. Our first time, we ate outside on the patio and all the servers were really nice welcoming us to the wine bar and walked us to a high table under an umbrella. It was the summer then, and the yellow jackets were a pain flying around our food. It is what it is with the summer.

Anyways.... so we recently visited this past weekend and there were definitely NO BEES, just your cold, rainy and snowy Saturday in December. We wanted some lunch, bit of wine before our meeting at the Hotel 1620 (no relation to the Wine Bar) for a potential place to host our wedding. We had ordered a flight of wine to start out, it came out as if it was a Wine Tree! How festive I know! Two Whites, and 3 Reds. I think my favorites of the Whites was Hissing Hill and the reds was the Empress/Enchantress (don't quote me on the names but they'll know what you're talking about down there). For Lunch we ordered 2 Tapas dishes, our FAVORITE dish was the Lobster Rangoons, never not going to get anything else!! And tried our the chicken parmesan sliders and they were wicked good as well!! When we're in the area, we definitely know where and what we are going to order again.

We arrived at 1620 and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The setting was cozy and comfortable and the staff was friendly and more than accommodating (we had an infant with us and needed to rearrange the setting a bit). We chose 5 wines to taste that were tastefully set on a wine tree. They were all delicious! For appetizers, we ordered the short rib skewers, which are wrapped and bacon and melt in your mouth! We also ordered the meatballs with focaccia which (maybe it’s because I’m Irish) taste even better than Nonnis! This place is a 10/10 and I will absolutely be coming back. 🥰

A must stop!!! Fabulous service by Megan and Isabel. A large selection of wine, tapas and full service bar! Atmosphere and music is enjoyable for a day!

I came to 1620 winery on a whim this Sunday and it was nothing short of fantastic. I was greeted by Larry, who is an attentive and knowledgeable connoisseur, and immersed into a very relaxing, cozy, positive environment. The 3 wines I picked for the flight were amazing, especially the Godiva-infused Merlot. The atmosphere was so lovely and every patron was noticeably having such a wonderful time. I definitely will be back to try the cheese board & hummus board. Fantastic experience 10/10

This establishment is perfection. A little elegant gem.🍷Completely worth the visit. They offer a wide variety of. Such a wonderful atmosphere, energy here...a definite must visit. #amazing #1620 they have live music on certain nights, fantastic Cheese Boards, wine tastings, beer and other wine offerings from other vineyards. The atmosphere is simply beautiful elegant, rustic and comfortable. The patio is simply wonderful. 1620 Winery is a true experience that will be a lasting memory.🍷

Ben was a delight to talk to about wines, the whole bar was very cozy and inviting. We had the flight of 5 wines and the presentation and service was all world class. I would definitely come back again for more tastings later.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite places to visit for a date night. The food, wine, atmosphere and service is always top notch! Josh behind the bar is always serving up great cocktail specials! Bradfords Ghost is my new favorite wine and I always grab a glass or two when we are in! Great tapas selections as well!

The entire staff is always friendly, upbeat and accommodating, will be back again soon!

Awesome atmosphere to taste wine: live piano music, tasty flatbread with lobster. Not expensive yet elegant and relaxing bar. We are coming back!

My husband and I got married on 11/11/22 and because of the 1620 Wine Bar tasting room, our rehearsal dinner was just as incredible as our wedding day. Hailey made planning this dinner as simple as possible. The private room at the wine bar is gorgeous - there is a beautiful fire place, gorgeous furniture, and the space is perfect for conversation and celebration. The staff was fast, responsive, but gave us the privacy to enjoy the special evening with our guests. This is a nontraditional space, and therefore the perfect space for celebration. We were not stuck at a long table for 15 people, but in an intimate space where we could all mingle, sit together, and enjoy each other's company. The food was immaculate and the drinks were even better. And, to top it all off, this was an extremely affordable dinner for 15 people. I cannot recommend the 1620 Wine Bar enough!

Amazing vibe overall. Very cozy. Mike was an extremely accommodating waiter. He made sure the food and wine tasted good and was very attentive. Flights were heavy pours and delicious. Sat by the fireplace and would do it again. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

I have never posted anything like this but was a perfect place on a Sunday afternoon. Bartender was wonderful and had wonderful suggestions and was so informative. PORTUGUESE!!!! BEST SMALL PLACE EVER WITH MUSIC!

Super cute! The wine selection was great and we loved that you could get a sampler of wine! The charcuterie borad was also fantastic! Highly recommend! Even if just for a little glass of wine and a rest stop!

What an enjoyable afternoon. Wine flight, amazing tapas style food and warm/welcoming staff. Even though I took a couple bottles home, I will be back.

1620 has an amazing atmosphere with live music and excellent service. The extensive wine list leaves you wanting to come back for more. Our server Morgan was very attentive and offered great suggestions. The goat cheese crostini’s is a must try.

I love the atmosphere here. Great place to sit by the fire and be cozy indoor OR outdoor patio fire when weather permits. I enjoy doing a wine flight to taste different wines each time. Convenient to Plymouth waterfront area.

This place is phenomenal! The organization I work for hosted a reception here for a group of about 20 people in October. The space was perfect - the atmosphere was cozy, historic, and beautiful and could have easily accommodated a group twice our size. The space, food, and wine were all exquisite, but one of my favorite things about this place is the staff. The group that worked our event were welcoming, friendly, personable, helpful, funny, kind - this list of praise could go on and on. They went above and beyond to make this event a success. I look forward to returning with friends and family and would highly recommend hosting your event here.
